DC is divided into little nitch neighborhoods, in the Cleveland Park area you will find quite a few very good restaurants and some little area shops. Wake Up Little Suzie is the best of these little shops.
The owners are very helpful and friendly. Don't hesitate to ask them about anything at all. They love to talk about their merchandise.
What kind of merchandise you ask? The funnest, most off-the-wall stuff ever. For instance, you know those little silk jewelry bags that are round and puffy with several pockets inside and a draw-string pull? They go for $20 everywhere on the Internet... this shop has them for $16. Oh yeah, that's what I'm talkin' about. I also picked up the cutest little jewelry roll for traveling for $12. Score.
They have all kinds of fun greeting cards, pins, wall hangings with outrageously fun mottos, and lots of ceramic pieces and jewelry made by local artists, and even unique light switch plates in all sorts of fun designs. Everything is more than reasonably priced here.
Do stop in here. You're sure find the perfect gift for just about anyone, along with tons of stuff you won't be able to resist for yourself.
PROS: Very fun shop with great prices
CONS: I need more money!
