Langston Golf Course & Driving Range

Langston is a good course, and it can be a great course with a some help and some attention to some of the small details. The course is a light to moderate challenge for a scratch golfer, especially the back nine. The fairways need to be built up, especially the ones along the river, where new foundations are needed. Right now and with very little investment get rid of the chewed up cart paths, and just use dirt/sand. The old asphalt and new rocks are dangerous. The food is great, and the crowd of old and experienced golfers are a gem. Make a contribution (...there's all kinds of ways), and the course will improve sooner rather than later.

All I can say is WOW! I had an awesome time at this historic place and visitors should NOT be discouraged to use this range due to the history of this area. I'm a visitor to this area who stayed at a nearby vacation rental, but I know DC very well and have visited several times over the past few decades. This area has undergone ALOT of change and is so peaceful now. All kinds of people are over here these days. So much gentrification and revitalization has come into this part of the city. It's not bad anymore!!! I love coming over here to golf and sometimes, there are families and corporate functions here, so this place sees all kinds of golfers. Also, the Langston Grill is great. Make sure you catch them on Sundays for brunch or daily for breakfast. DEEE--LISH! Open your mind and try something new. This course is definitely worth the trip.

This isn't a bad golf course. It is pretty inexpensive, on the same price as East Potomac, and much less crouded. However, it is still not a very good golf course, and I would recommend mostly to students, people strapped for cash, or beginners.
