Several people including my husband are getting ready to file suit against Giant for trying to force them out due to their age and number of years with the company. My husband currently works their after 17 years, by a tether, but I do my shopping elsewhere. It's sad, but Giant Management is riddled with corruption guilty just plain neglect. They make me sick. I would like to read postings from other long-time abused employees. Jessica N.

Their prices are average, and the locations tend to be convenient. However, they have the WORST customer service ever. If all you do is grab your groceries and check out, you're fine. If you want to raise an issue with management, GOOD LUCK! Everybody from the store's management to the district manager to the people at the corporate office will treat you like garbage.

PROS: reasonable prices
CONS: worst customer service

This Giants is an average store. All the basics are there, service is so-so and prices are reasonable. Just don't expect excellent service or great deals.

What kind of grocery store runs out of carts? I went there last Saturday to do my weekly shopping, carrying my 2-year-old son, and not only were there no carts to be had, but when I finally resorted to stalking a shopper out to his car he told me that someone else had already requested his cart! I had to wait for several more shoppers to go by as it turns out there was a line of stalkers! There were a few carts on the outer fringes of the parking lot, but all of those had been disabled by that little mechanism that locks the wheels when you try to take the cart out of the lot. Mostly, though, this store just plain doesn't own enough carts. When I finally got inside it was crowded (as always! there is no time of the week when it hasn't been) and the selection was pretty crummy. It is one of the few grocery stores in DC that carries wine and beer, though, and as it is only a few blocks from my house I will probably continue to shop there. But I'll complain about it a lot.

PROS: Carries beer and wine
CONS: No carts, crowded, poor selection
