It's perfect for vegans, vegetarians, wanna be veggies and carnivores! Everything on the menu is delicious! I always get thier rice soup with my main menu. It's so good! The staff is super friendly and very helpful with suggestions! make sure you go here at least once and you'll understand what all the excitement is about. The only somewhat con is that sometimes there isn't enough seating. but usually, if you hang around for a minute or two-seats will pop up.

I used to stop at Java Green every morning and get breakfast. Although I never really noticed breakfast sandwiches on the menu, I was most likely distracted by the vegan hunk working behind the counter, they were always more than happy to put whatever I wanted on a bagel or toast. The ??turkey? is so good, even thou I have changed jobs, I still sometimes go all the way down there in the morning just for breakfast. The coffee is also outstanding and the variety of organic sugars makes it interesting to sweeten.

Had their grilled, soy chicken sandwich (without the sprouts). It tasted like "real" chicken, was reasonably priced, and filled me up. Staff very friendly like every one says. You order at the counter and they'll bring the food out to you. I like how you don't have to think about whether the food is at least vegetarian (and much of it is vegan)... they've done all the picking for you!

The owners should make this into a local chain! Open one up in Virginia, in Pentagon City, Rosslyn, or in Clarendon, for example! Too bad it's closed on Sundays, too...

PROS: GREAT food, all -vegetarian, reasonably priced
CONS: Limited Seating, Closed on Sundays

I get hungry just thinking about this place! Java Green is an all-vegetarian cafe in the Golden Triangle area. Their food is GREAT--Korean/Asian inspired, but they also have a lot of sandwiches, salads, and wraps. They also serve coffee. It gets very crowded during the weekday lunch hour, so be prepared to get it to go if you don't want to wait to grab a seat. They have a meal of the day special, but it's usually just 25 cents off.
