Ymca

The YMCA is very convenient. They have a lot of equipment, and their facilities are very nice. The offer a wide variety of activities and they are very reasonable - particularly when you compare them to some area health clubs. And if you are a member of the YMCA you can use any of them in the state (maybe outside of the state - you could check with the staff - I rarely leave the state to find out).

This particular YMCA has alot of the latest equipment to workout on. The only problem that exist is that the have insufficient parking for members. I would recommend going during offpeak hours to get the best use of facility. I like this particular gym becuase the offer childcare which makes it easy to take the children and workout.

OK, so as gyms go, the Western Y has everything you could want or need and plenty of it, new workout room, lots of cardio equipment, great aerobic classes and super teachers, and even a babysitting service for moms. That said, there is NEVER any available parking, the locker rooms are always packed, and the classes, while really good, are packed and you need to be 20 min early just to get it. Is it worth it? You decide how high your tolerance is for inadequate customer service vs. what they offer.
