Rehoboth Auto Repair is terrible!
by Roger M.
This has to be one of the worse garages to have your car repaired. Take one look at the lot and you will see a mass of cars sitting. This always indicates a shop that doesn't finish the work quickly. I had my car at this shop, and the "expert" on Porsches couldn't diagnose the problem in two and a half days. At first, he claimed it was a 'waste gate problem', then he told me it was a 'split intake boot'. When my engine builder told the 'expert' by phone, that my motor didn't have intake boots, he claimed it was a 'hose off by the number three cylinder' and it would take three hours to repair, but he didn't have time to do it that day. The next day, I stopped by at 10:30 in the morning, and my car was sitting outside in the parking lot while he had another car in the bay. I asked why my car wasn't being worked on, and was told he had to do the other car first, even though mine had been there two days by then. I went to speak to the owner of the shop Rick, and was told that they were not going to work on my car period, and I should remove it from his lot. It seemed to me that they didn't know how to repair the car, so just gave up. I took the car back where I was staying, after paying for the lack of service I received, and got in touch with my mechanic in North Carolina, who gave me some pointers, and I fixed the problem in less than an hour! It wasn't a hose off at all, as the "expert" guessed. It was a small nick in a vacuum hose! I am no mechanic, but my Dad was, and if I could find and repair the problem in an hour with just basic tools, why couldn't the "expert", Steve, do it in two and a half days?
As bad as that mechanic was, the treatment I received from the owner Rick was far worse. He's a rude, obnoxious person, who thinks he is far more capable than reality shows. If you are looking for a fix for your auto problem, I really suggest you look somewhere else.
