MacKlin John & Son Tire Co

I needed four new tires on my SUV, I decided to try somewhere other than my usual, Gilbert's. I stopped at Macklin tire on rt. 113 At first i was led to believe i was talking to the owner, when the other gentlemen told me the man behind the desk was just the manager. he sure could have fooled me. my budget was 300.00. the man told me he needed atleast 470.00 to put me in guaranteed new tires. arent all new tires guaranteed???? the young man who was working alone while the manager was reading the newspaper, told me to call john macklin and he would meet my budget. when i told the manager i would get abck with him, he got real nasty, and said there are no better deals here or anywhere else. my youngest son was with me and needed to use the restroom. when i asked if that was possible, he would not even give me an answer, just continued to read his paper. This unprofessinalism and rude behavior is hurting their business.

Don't get me wrong, this place is a little scary from the outside. But whenever me or my family have gone there to have a tire repaired, rebalanced, etc., they have provided quick reliable service at a more than fair price. Safety is so important when dealing with tire and I feel safe with Macklin's work and good about patronizing a local business.

PROS: Quality work at a reasonable price
CONS: Facility is a little run down
