Love, love, love this place! The building has been repainted and looks great from the outside. The books, of which there are many, are well organized. They have any category of book you're likely to want - manga, star trek/wars, fiction, romance, mystery, urban fiction, non-fiction, biography, war, kids, sci-fi - you name it, they have it. Can't go in there without finding something to buy. The people who run the place are very nice and friendly, too. Anyone who wants to save money on books should try this place out.

This place could be so much more than what it currently is. You have to spend three hours just trying to find what you're looking for, there is no organization to speak of, and in places there are just books thrown pell-mell on the floor in huge heaps (not stacks, HEAPS), posing a tripping hazard. In one room, for some inexplicable reason, there is a rusty, dirty seat from an old van or car, with books thrown all over it. Some of the books are completely out of reach on top of rafters. I'm surprised they haven't been slapped with a discrimination lawsuit considering there is no way this store is handicapped accessible in any place. You couldn't get a wheelchair past the foyer. And to top it off, their prices are astronomical for what they're selling - old books in bad condition. He wanted me to pay half the cover price for a book that had a torn and bent cover - no way! You must be crazy. Goodwill feel, yes, but at much higher prices. In fact, I find books in better condition at Goodwill for a fraction of this guy's prices.

I bought one of my favorite books from this place for half-price off the cover price. i love the place because it has charm and there are a lot (a lot lot) of books here (and some comics and a couple of old textbooks too). Basically its just whatever people drop off. Like the goodwill of books or something.
The only thing I don't like, is that its not very organized. You only have a vague idea of where the kind of book you're looking for is. It takes forever, just to look through everything, because there's sooo much.
but if you like charm and you've got some time on your hands then you should definitely stop by. the people (usually, person) behind the counter are more than happy to help.

This shop is in what looks like an old house. Each room is packed with books. The atmosphere is kind of nice, for a book store! Unfortunately, the prices are higher than I'd like to pay for used books, but the selection is good

I can't recall all the times I've looked for an obscure book, and damn it if this store didn't have it! Like I said, there are other second-hand bookshops around (though unfortunately not enough) with more books, more modern conveniences, etc, but this place is a throwback to the way a used-book shop should be. It has character, dust, and most importantly, LOW, CHEAP prices.
