I love this place and their sushi bar is the best I have ever seen! The price is right and I eat here at least twice a week! I have never had a single problem here!

The sushi bar here is wonderful! Be sure to go there around 4 to get $1 sushi. The hibachi portion is also very nice. The food and drink are all reasonably priced.

This is the best Japanese restaurant you can ever eat at. The experience is excellent with chefs who cook infront of you on the hibachi grill. The sesame chicken and scallops and fire-grilled shrimp are so tasty, along with the ginger dressing i'm still trying to get the recipe for.

The atmosphere in this restaurant is anything but up to date. You would think that a hibachi grill would try to upkeep and maintain the quality of the atmosphere, but this one falls short of impressiveness, let alone cleanliness.
The sushi is also amongst the bottom tier. I would not recommend this sushi.

I LOVE SAPPORO'S! I love sushi! They have a great menu, as well as great sushi! Check out their floating sushi bar. There is also a hibachi room for those wanting steak and seafood. Prices are as expected.

Over 15 years ago, Daytona Beach had few truly unique restaurants with a specifically ethnic flavor, notably missing was Japanese cuisine. Sapporos was the exception then; although currently several other Japanese venues have appeared, due to the wave of growth, and cultural expansion Daytona has experienced in recent years. Back then, Sapporos was one of my favorite locations to dine, and entertain visiting friends. The food quality was impeccable, beautifully assembled and presented, and each bite was a morsel to be savored. Additionally, customers were treated almost as family, and there was a real sincerity behind this respect for the patrons.
Now, while I still frequent Sapporos about once a month, and continue to enjoy the meals, there has been a noticeable decline in rapport between guests and staff over recent years. In fact, some of these experiences have not concluded on the most pleasant of terms. I attribute this fall from grace to rapid growth. It seems that in response to higher volume, Sapporos has had to expand their staff, and this has resulted in a great number of fly by night cooks and waitresses...people who have little more than a tipon the minds. Part of the pleasure involved in dining at Sapporos is the traditional cultural ambiance; hopefully they will not further sacrifice their identity in favor of quantity alone.
