I have known Jimmy and Gail for years now and I have to say this is the friendliest bar I have EVER visited...you always feel at home here and I have had MANY good times there! Drink prices are excellent...Jimmy goes all out to make sure people are happy having a good time and taken care of! I love Jimmy and Gail!

I drove past this tiny Rockledge drinking establishment in a U-Haul truck as I moved into an apartment a-ways down the street. The parking lot was full and through the screen door at the front, I could see dozens of folks sitting and standing around the bar.
A few days later, after job searching on a computer across the road at city hall, I walked in for a beer.
"How about a smitcher?" a charming lady named Miss Lynda asked. A smitcher (small pitcher), she assured me, was the best beer value. I agreed and sat at the end of the bar by the front entrance.
After a while, a very scruffy, biker-looking man at the other end of the narrow tavern - sitting next to a lovely younger woman - engaged me in conversation.
"Welcome to Anthony's. I'm Jimmy and this is my wife Gail," he explained. Jimmy, it turned out, is the establishment's owner and it's named after his oldest son. "This is a working man's bar. A blue collar bar," he added.
And truly it is.
Snacks are free, the drink prices are good and the entertainment abounds. If you're a smoker, a sign on the outside corner of the building proclaims "this is a free-standing, smoking bar."
People from all professions - doctors, roofers, attorneys, bikers, policemen, rocket scientists and even Tennesseeans - drop by this landmark watering hole.
Don't miss it! And say hello to Miss Coleen and Miss Debbie for me.

Pros: You can search far and wide, but never find a bar like this.
