FEB 17, 2008 We are locals who thought it would be great to take our out of town visitors to a place with a great view of the water as well as being within close proximity to the great "florida shops". WHAT A BAD IDEA!!!! WE MADE RESERVATIONS FOR 9 (INCLUDING 3 WELL BEHAVED CHILDREN) EARLIER IN THE DAY FOR 7:30 PM. WHEN WE ARRIVED WE WERE NOT GREETED AT THE HOSTESS STATION. WE WAITED FOR APPROX 5 MINUTES FOR A HOSTESS TO ACKNOWLEDGE OUR EXISTENCE (FORGOT TO MENTION THE WAITRESS WHO PASSED US WITH A DIRTY LOOK WHILE LOOKING AT HER WATCH). AFTER WAITING PATIENTLY, WE WERE FINALLY SEATED (THE HOSTESS HAD THE NERVE TO "CHECK US OUT" DISAPPROVINGLY (MEANING OUR ATTIRE, WHICH WAS FLORIDA CASUAL). AFTER WE WERE SEATED, WE WAITED 20 MINUTES (I AM NOT EXAGGERATING, 20 MINUTES) IN WHICH THE HOSTESS CAME OUT AND TOLD US OUR WAITER WAS "BUSY". WE ASKED FOR A GLASS OF WARM WATER TO MAKE A BOTTLE FOR THE BABY WHO WAS WITH US, AND AGAIN WE WERE GIVEN A "LOOK" THAT GAVE US THE IMPRESSION WE WERE ASKING FOR TOO MUCH. AFTER WAITING ANOTHER 5 MINUTES WE LEFT, IN WHICH NONE OF THE EMPLOYEES BATTED AN EYE. TALK ABOUT BEING SNUBBED!!! I GUESS TO ENJOY THE FOOD THERE, YOU NEED TO BE A Q-TIP (OLD PERSON WITH WHITE HAIR) WITH $$$ COMING OUT OF YOUR ARSE...NOTE TO ALL NORMAL MIDDLE CLASS FAMILIES, SKIP THIS HOSE JOB AND SPEND YOUR MONEY WHERE YOU ARE APPRECIATED AS A PATRON. PS, TO THE HOSTESS ...I HOPE TO GOD THAT I SOMEDAY GET TO TREAT YOU AS WELL AS YOU TREATED ME SERVING YOU IN THE BUSINESS I OWN..YES, OWN...LOOKS CAN BE DECEIVING!!! JUST BECAUSE WE ARE YOUNGER DOES NOT MEAN WE CANNOT AFFORD TO EAT THERE...

The Captain's Table is located on the second floor above Harpoon Harrys at Fisherman's Village. The dining area overlooks Charlotte Harbor which can be awesome in the early evening as the sunsets. You can enjoy a tasty meal and a beautiful panoramic view of the Harbor while gazing at gorgeous sunsets. Seating is available inside or on the outdoor deck. Either way the food taste great. We were greeted by a friendly host. We preferred to sit inside this time because it was a little chilly for us. The service was friendly and quick. It was very busy and crowded that evening. We were attending a private catered affair. We had a salad with the house dressing, prime rib, scalloped potatoes, and dinner rolls. The prime rib was a little too rare for me but it was very good. We do plan to come back to try out their regular menu.
