"Chef" Romeo Majana (no comment on whether he is a true chef, or if he is an Italian) told us that there was no menu (a good idea to sell to customers all that is old) and was going to cook for us 6 courses $ 90.00(drinks not included)

In each food course there was nothing that has not cooked for myself in my home, risotto and pasta, a dinner filled with starch at a price of lobster and filet mignon.

I found the service quite good but the reason for going to a new restaurant is to try new food and they try to cover up mediocre food with good service.

Dinner for two $ 315 plus tip and tax, there is no way to return to this place.

All courses where small and nothin special, small salad, four pieces of ravioli, a veal milanese, a tiny pice of fish and so....
We pay $250.00 For that money we could went to a very nice fine dinning restaurant and ate what we wanted.
What a dissapointed!! Ah! $50.00 they charche for lunch!

if you want to pay $90 usd plus tax plus service, for something you dont have any idea what you would get, this is your place. The chef is a really nice person but forget getting any lobster, crab, mignon, shrimp etc.
, instead you'll get unexpensive courses like pastas, rice, fish etc.
I really dont have any idea how this this restaurant works, the food is average and the price is as expensive as if you go to a very nice miami beach resturant, the atmosphere was ok but I didnt enjoy the dinner at all. Dont waste your time , go to georges, francesco, etc at coconut groove or coral gables, pay half of the price and choose what you like without surprises

somedy recomended it to me, and Ieft really disapointed.
At the begginig I realized there were no menus, just a simple note where it said thar you will received 6 courses for 90 usd. The first dish was a salmon carpaccio very simple , the second dish was a very good pasta ( 4 pieces ) but the third was the worst., it was a unflavored piece of fish that I had it back to him , then the cheff romeo modified the dish for a greasy veal, without taking in consideration that I told him that I didnt eat meat.
After that I realized it was a scam I asked for the check , pay $ 270 usd and run away from there .

I have been to this restaurant a couple of times. The food has always been amazing. The ambience is great and very romantic. I would not suggest this type of place for a family outing though. It is more of a date place, the wine list is great but pricy as is everything about this place. Going for a nice night out will run you a minimum of 250.00 with a bottle of wine. Chef Romeo is gracious and explains to you the no menu situation as soon as you walk in. You then explain what you would like and the things that you dont like. The first dish is usually the Salmon Carpacchio and the desert is usually a sofflee. Unless that bothers you there is no reason to not go and enjoy the experience.

Romeo's Cafe is a nice place to stop when you want to have a quick bite to eat in a relaxing atmosphere. Not pretentious at all, very relaxed with a waitstaff that knows the menu very well.

Absolutely the finest dining experience in South Florida. Every time we go, it's better and better. The food, the presentation...and the hospitality and friendliness make every time we go there a gret experience....and it really comes at a very fair and reasonable price. This is both my wife and my favorite restaurant... and we don't agree on to many things!

We have been to Romeo's several times now, and it has become our favorite place for a romantic dinner. The atmosphere, the food and the service are impeccable. Every time, all the time. The range of dishes is very creative and imaginative...the presentation is fantasic...and simply put, we have never been disappointed. An absolutely fantastic restaurant, with an absolutely fantastic owner/chef who will do anything he can to accommodate his clientele. We could not give any place a higher recommendation!

Having heard great things about Romeo's I took the family out for a fine evening. The bill came to about $600.00 for 4 adults. The degustation menu is the only option and it served by surprise. The chef just sends out courses till you finally get dessert. I'd say 5-6 courses. The food is well prepared and the restaurant is tiny, only about 9 tables. THE ONLY fault is while the price is fixed and there is no written menu they add bottled water to the bill separately, I think that for what they charge it ought to be included.

THE FOOD is nicely prepared and very tasty, but the dishes were NOT adventurous. It seemed like plates of food that you would eat at a nicely catered wedding. i.e. lollipop lamp chops & baby vegetables
It was delicious, but not very inspired.

It was fun to try as a new place, but I don't think I'll become a regular.

By far the best place food, attention ambiance. The only draw back is you eventually have to leave. The only thing they don't do is put the food in your mouth...

We went to Romeo's cafe after reading some reviews at citysearch.com and went there with the idea of trying something new. The maitre himself came to our table and explained how the no-menu-six-course-meal will work. We found the concept interesting and exciting, and the food was definitely A++. The ambience and the service was also good and overall it was a good dinning expirience... Until the check came!!! Nobody had told us how much it was going to cost, and at 100$ a piece it was definitely a not-so-good ending to a great dinner. I'd recomend it, but go there knowing what to expect!!!

I can't say much about gourmet italian food because, personally, i don't think fresh pasta tossed with garlic and truffle oil is gourmet. But, putting all that aside, the food at Romeo's is very good. I like the surprise of having a prix fixe meal in which you don't know what's coming next...but there can also be a down side. You may get a great dish for one course, and the next would be a very boring dish that you had at about a million other restaurants, like salmon carpaccio. I can't say anything against the service, though.

romeo's welcome makes you feel very special, the service is very good and the food is excellent. certainly a larger local would had made the affair
excellent, but again, good perfumes come in small bottles.

Worth every penny... the service is incredible, Romeo is wonderful, the food is a dream, my date was hot, and if you notice a broken sink in the ladies room, sorry... the wine is good too, and they keep it coming ;-)> One of the best dining experiences of my life.

From the moment you enter the experience begins, and everything is perfect, from the romantic candlelit table in the corner by the wine rack, to the sweet kangaroo meat and carpaccio. Even something as simplae as risotto takes on a whole new meaning at Romeo's.

ps sorry bout the sink romeo

Went to lunch on a wednesday and the food was orgasmic. Came back friday night and was all reheated, already cooked food. Arrived around 6, Romeo who is the only chef arrived at 8 PM.
Food was not bad but I was i shock that a sublime meal can become just a regular overpriced dinner 72 hours later.

The exterior suggests an average neighborhood Italian restaurant, but Romeo's is anything but. For one thing, it's tinier than most---nine tables, 28 seats in all. Also darker, to the extent you'll need a flashlight to read the…
