the place was fun. good. happy. exciting. thrilling. enjoying. never get bored. aot of enternainment. cheap. really close to were i live. i enjoy the activities they have.

My boyfriend and I have both been regulars at Livingston's since long before they opened their new Clark Rd. location. It's always been a fun place to hang out but now it's even better. The place is huge, bright and open. The game room is very large and there are so many different kinds of games, there is something for everyone. The prize room is very impressive. We have saved well over 100,000 tickets since the new center opened and we've had no problem finding things we wanted to spend them on! The staff is helpful and a lot of them have been working for Livingston's for years. The place is always clean - even the restrooms which is impressive. Although smoking is allowed, there are great air purifiers and filters because it's never too smokey and I'm sensitive to smoke. The pizza and pretzels are great. The bar has a lot of seating at the bar itself as well as tables, so it's not too difficult to find somewhere to sit even when it's packed.
There are so many pool tables, you never have to wait long for one. It's nice having two separate rooms too. The larger tables are great and the back room is a little bit quieter and not as crowded which is nice.
Overall, it's a great place to hang out. With go-carts, games, pool and the bar with tv's -there really is something for everyone. Our kids - ages 15 and 12 have a great time at Livingston's.

My son is invited to a birthday party at Livingstons in the near future. Upon seeing a posting on this site calling Livingstons a dark smoky place I thought perhaps I should investigate before letting him go. Well, I am glad I did. Yes they allow smoking however there was no smoke floating around like I expected to see. And actually the place is very well lighted, not dark at all. Now, I am an ex smoker so I was concerned that it might be more than I could handle. I hardly even noticed that anyone was smoking. Yes, they have a lot of ashtrays aound but the help seems to keep them quite clean. I asked a young man who was working there why I saw so little smoke with people smoking. He tells me they have something called "Smoke eaters" with filters that are changed and cleaned each week. I had a bottle of my favorite beer at the bar and was able to look out at the game room where adults and kids were playing games. I have not seen anything like their gameroom and prize center since I left New jersey. The shore towns had places that were almost this nice. They have a race track out back but even with gas powered cars I could not notice any fumes or smells. Another young man out there told me that there is a very expensive system that vents all that out. It Looks like it's doing it's job. I think it's a great place. I guess if you are allergic to smoke you might have a problem, but I didn't. My son can go to the party with my blessing. Oh yeah, they have great fresh baked pizza that is fantastic. Bottom line it's not dark or smoky but it is a lot of fun. If don't believe me check it out for your self.

I recently took my family to Livingstons Amusement Center WOW !I was impressed how up scale and nice it was inside. They have a huge game room with all the newest games to play we stoped counting at 85. They also have a fabulous price center with every thing to win from teddy bears to underwater scooters. Prizes for all ages male or female. The atmosphere is like being in the 1890's with Tiffany lights and old street lights align the walkway to all the attractions. We did not play pool but they have about thirty pool tables with lots of seating at them. They even have a special room called the Royal Room for adults only to play pool and be away from the kids. They have a full bar which only adult were allowed to sit at. But we chose a booth in the elevated area and had one of the best homemade pizza's we have ever had and we also had a soft pretzel which was excellent also. We rode the special Naskarts go-karts which were for adults they were very fast and fun. The pacer karts were for the kids a bit slower but they really enjoyed the ride also. What was special was that the track was inside so you can race rain or shine. They have a new attraction which was not open yet called Phazor Zone. It is above the go-kart track and looks like a big space ship in which you go up into and battle with paintball guns but the balls do not have paint in them they glow in the ultra violet light which we can't wait to play it will open sometime in Dec 06. They also are putting in a 25' rock climbing wall in Jan 07 for all ages and climbing skills. This place is awesome and we highly recommend to all families to visit. P.S. I read the review about the smoking and it is hogwash. We never saw smoke and they were very busy although My family is non smoking they have special smoke eaters everywhere which eliminate the smoke and filter through a charcoal filter and add fresh air back in each area. Don't let this stop you from visiting the fabulous place you won't be sorry!

You're kids are all excited to go the Livington's and play pool, lots of video games, maybe ride the go karts and get pizza too. There's only one problem - as soon as you open the door to the place, you can smell the cigarette smoke! Now, I know there are still plenty of people who smoke in this world, but do we really want the kids (never mind non-smoking adults) to be breathing in second hand smoke while trying to have fun?! The whole entire place is smoking friendly - in fact, as we watched our 14 year old do Dance Dance Revolution, there was an ashtray on the table directly behind him (how is he suppose to jump around, get hot & sweaty AND breathe in smoke?!). I only stayed about 10 minutes and I reeked of smoke and could taste it in my mouth when I left - YUCK! So, if you don't mind your kids playing in a dark smokey bar room, then go ahead and drop them off at Livingston's!

PROS: plenty of pool tables & video games w/ a nice set up
CONS: the whole place allows smoking

This place is great, you can bring your kids, let them play in the arcade while you play pool and have a few drinks! They have new place opening that's will have Go-Karts!
