Mickey Finn's just celebrated their 2nd anniversary. The owners, managers, cooks and staff are new. The other review was from before new owners took over. It is a fun place with fair prices.

I attend Trvia Night at Gators Dockside each Monday. Prior to trivia I had never even heard of the location. I have always been quite happy with my experiance. Tonight was much diffrent. I was at a table with my husband, our son, and five friends. I ordered a cup of onion soup, which was the soup of the day. I recieved what look like a bowl of saute'd onions covered in cheese, not quite what I was hoping for. I politely asked the server if I could have a soup that had a bit more broth she explained they ran out and that was the end of it! I said "ok!" 45 minutes later we were still waiting on our food which included 3 cold wraps and a total of 30 wings. Long story short the wings came out wrong, we asked to see a manager. 15 minutes went by and the server stated "He is really busy, but i keep reminding him." Poor girl was doing her job, yet taking the brunt of the problems due to lack of management. He sauntered over to the table and offered a pitcher of beer, I guess in todays world liquor and booze had become the bandaid to all problems. I, however, being 31 weeks pregnant and out with my 3 year old and our group of friends thought "no thanks!" The manager then said, "If there is anything I can do let me know, if not sorry!" I don't know about you, but I have recieved better response from a McDonalds employee about a Big Mac made wrong ($4 dollar meal) then I did from this "manager" ($10 meal). The server then approached the table seconds later and said., "He's making me be the bad guy. He told me to give you your bill if his kitchen is not good enough for you." The poor girl was nearly in tears. What an absolutely insulting experiance, and to top it off the food was nothing to brag about. I do believe the highlight of the evening was the staredown from the kitchen staff, truly professional. Oh, did I mention the manager was in fact the new owner! Fortunatly there are plenty of quite wonderful family restaraunts in the area, with wonderful staff and food. The conclusion of my review a ship is only as successful as its Captain, a flight is made successful by a great pilot...what is to become of a restaraunt with an owner like the man I met this evening...I do not know...but I do know we will never go back!!
