This is one of our very Fav. places to eat and IMP the best in all of Niceville/ Val P. area! Truly the best Italian ever, not "gimmicky", not "corporate" not a "chain" either.... Thank God! Just really good food for those who appreciate it!

Good wine choices also, better than any other place in town. I will be sad if it ever should close! Both the Caprese, and the Portobella appetizers out of this world, every pasta dish is Fabulous and the homemade garlic and herbs dipping oil with bread is to die for! Thank you Tom!

This restaurant has been excellent from the first time my husband and I went there several years ago. The owners are on hand, and a pleasure to deal with. I have tried several different dishes, and have never had a bad meal. They have mostly Italian and seafood dishes, excellent appetizers, pizzas, entrees, desserts, and their coffee is roasted on the premises (so you know it's good), and the coffee beans are available for purchase. Food portions are huge, and you always have leftovers for another meal. Reservations are HIGHLY recommended. A local secret that really needs no advertisement, as it stays packed by word-of-mouth. They have a large variety of wine and beer. I just can't say enough about the place!

This restaurant is my and my husband's favorite. They have a packed restaurant year-round, because the locals love the place so much, and support it. They do not need to advertise, because word-of-mouth is what gets the people there. The owners are very friendly, and go out of their way to ensure that you have a pleasant experience while you're there. They are different than other restaurants in that you don't have to chase down staff. They immediately get your drink orders and bring you warm bread with tasty olive oil for dunking. They have great recommendations for both the wines and dishes. They have a wonderful variety of dishes, Italian, seafood, great appetizers and desserts. They roast their own coffee beans on site, and they're also available for sale, so you know when you order coffee from there it will be great. Reservations are a must, as the place is always full. We've been going there for years, and have never been disappointed. If you haven't been there yet, you need to check it out!

RUDEST PEOPLE I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH! I hope they feel that the "locals" can keep them in business because at the rate their going, no one will ever come back. We were reminded several times that we would only have an hour to eat because we didn't have a reservation. The hostess/manager/owner could use some anger management classes as well as a course in customer service. As we were leaving we politely suggested to Terry that they advertise that they only accept reservations on the weekends if it was such a "chore" to seat us and she threw a fit, started screaming at us and told us we were lucky to have even gotten a table. WOW..Really? No, I think that YOU are the lucky one that people still come to your restaurant. I will not only NEVER return, I will never ever recommend it to anyone else. If I want overpriced Italian food I will go to Carrabba's at least there I won't be screamed at in the restaurant and in the parking lot told that people inside were calling me names. Oh and by the way...is it a health code violation to store your food/beverages in the bathrooms?? I wonder....

I would recommend making reservations for Friday or Saturday night. So far, everything we have tried was delicious. We have ordered their pizza for carry out, it is a little pricey for take-out pizza, but well worth it.

Many years ago I spent 6 months in Italy. Tradewinds reminds me of the best ??Mom and Pop? restaurant to the eclectic dining on the bay (without the flare). For the past 5 years or so I have gone to see Tom and his crew at Tradewinds. Without a doubt this is the best! Better than Destin, Better that FWB. Better that my own moms?shhhhhh don??t tell on me.
I??ve had every beer, wine and menu item the restaurant offers, and I??ll continue to go back again and again.. it??s just that good.
