that story about them being against a certain ethnic group was all started by a certain person who,s only motovation was to try and extort money from the diner.the person who started it has a track record of being a drug addicted person and a bad business person.joanies diner is any thing but racist.the food will never win awards but its healthy and fairly priced.its all about the people and the staff that make joanies special.

Kissimmee, Florida --- On January 10th, 2010, Mr. Hector Negron, a resident and business owner of the City of Kissimmee walked in to Joanie's Diner in downtown Kissimmee at approximately 9:00-9:30 am to have breakfast. Mr. Negron then proceeded to sit at a back table, by the time he touched the chair to take a seat the waitress approached him and stated that he could not sit there because no Puerto Ricans and spics were allowed to sit at that table and that the table is for white people only.

Immediately thereafter, the owner, Jim, approached the table and told Mr. Negron "Did you hear what she said? No Puerto Ricans and spics at the table! You people need to go back to wherever you came from and you people need to speak English when you come to my country!" Jim and the waitress once again told Negron "You cannot sit at that table!"

Mr. Negron, feeling intimidated and threatened, looked around for help and Jim states "These people in here are my friends they are not going to help you or say anything! I have friends in the Kissimmee Police Department!"

Mr. Negron then walked towards the front door to leave the restaurant but the owner would not allow him to leave through the front door and demanded that he leave through the back.

I would like to inform Mr. Jim that Puerto Ricans are American Citizens by birth, we have fought with honor and pride in the Armed Services and have shed as much blood on the battle fields than some of the States of the Union, Perhaps Mr. Jim would like to go back to high school and take a course of American History. We are not illegal inmigrants, we are citizens of the U.S. as we are a part of the US. You and those that back you up are walking in very dangerous waters.

Pros: Whitey people only

Cons: Limited acces if youre not whitey

This people kicked out a Puerto Rican and told him that only whites are allowed to eat there. They told him that in Florida you have to speak english and that the Puerto Ricans should be gping back to where they are from.
They are racist in the 2010! Unbelivable!
One day, they will be serving us in a Puerto Rican Restaurant as waiters and waitresses, and they will regret what they did!

Joanie's Diner is located in downtown Kissimmee and serves a full breakfast menu of delicious, albeit greasy, food. Lunch is also available and is quite tasty as well. Great service and a very different atmosphere.

Tastes like alot of the items are from a can. Fried chicken tasted like the cooking oil was old. Didn't care for the atmosphere. Servers talk too much, very annoying. Not my cup of tea!

This resturant is so much like the one that I went to in Illinois. The people are great the food is great especially for the price. All around it is a very good spot to go eat and just relax. Even have some fun since the staff is so outgoing and pleasant.
