I walked out of this store today due to the rudeness of the staff. I brought my two sons into this store to buy their grandparents Christmas gifts. They were both in awe of all of the beautiful Christmas items and excited and eager to find the perfect presents. My oldest son placed his index finger onto the head of a Christmas statue he was admiring for his grandmother and a tall thin salesman came up and starting yelling at my son for touching and continued to carry on. I completely understand a store not wanting merchandise to get broken, however everything was under control in this situation. I had my eyes on my sons at all times and he did not pick it up, he put a finger on it to feel it. If a salesperson has concerns, they need to address the parent about their concerns and in a respectable and polite manner. I can certainly handle an adult conversation, but when a complete stranger belittles my 7 year old trying to buy a gift for his grandmother, the store loses my business for good. I don't know who they think they are, but they certainly do not know how to treat families. And this is one family who will never give The Gift Tree their business.
