Great store! Super friendly! Goes out of their way to give great service! I never know what I will find in a bead shop. Support your local businesses if you want them to stay there!

Whoever wrote "bad and nasy customer service" must have written this review to went some anger about a whole lot of other things. Wow, she wrote herself into a sort of trance. This place seems to be hell! LOL. I know Adriana for years now and I actually do not know if the writer might mix her place up with some other one. A-Bead-Store is very nice place, darnet!

This is a great Bead Store..filled with delightful unique items to enhance your beading . The little dog is friendly and adorable. Adriana is friendly and sincere. I have taken many beading classes and always leave with more than I thought I would receive. This is a unique Bead Store a real asset to Delray Beach, Fl. having been in business 5 years, it has become a landmark property. Enjoy your visit, you will go away happy..and you will come back.

I have been a customer at A Bead Store since their doors open. I have found this store to be one of the best bead stores I have ever visited. Trust me I am a bead addict and proud of it. I have been in bead shops from here to Alaska! This shop is small but has an inventory that doesn't overwhelm you. They carry unique items. The atmosphere is conducive for beading. The attention I receive there is always sincere. I have taken several classes with Adrianna and have mastered each technique. She is an excellent teacher. You do not leave there til you know what you're doing. I am shocked to see that two reviews were so negative about this lovely shop. I must say It seems they were being very critical. Maybe just having a bad day. Visit this shop for yourself. I think you will be happy to find it an enjoyable experience.

Of the two prior reviews, I have to agree that there is a poor selection of merchandise at this store. What's there is badly chosen and there's not much of it. Slim Pickins one would say. I would also add that the customer service is non-existent and my experience is that it doesn't exist at this store. I tried to return a clasp that broke the same day I purchased it only a few days after it broke. The store owner and employees refused to take it back, exchange it, replace it - nothing. There were customers in the store at the time and I wondered what they must have been thinking since they heard the store owner telling me that they had a "no returns" policy even though they sold me a clasp that broke the same day I purchased it. Had I been a customer in the store and heard the owner telling another customer that, I would either have walked out at the first opportunity - and certainly, knowing about this inflexible policy I would vow to certainly never return. This would be a BIG red flag for me to witness in any retail store. The store is dark and gloomy and therefore not only depressing but a difficult environment in which to attempt to do fine beadwork or wire work. The quarters themselves are poorly arranged, cluttered, and I felt claustrophobic in them. This store needs a major remodeling and overhaul in order to even approach being comfortable and user-friendly. If you want to go to a bright, fun environment check out Boca Beads (Web site: irismoon.com) in Boca Raton. What a difference at Boca Beads - that place is run by PROS!. The staff at Boca Beads are friendly. upbeat, helpful, and you'll find the work done at Boca Beads much more beautiful and creative than anything you'll see at A Bead Store. Really, there's no comparison - Boca Beads wins that contest as well as the customer service contest hands down. In this economy, customers are looking for SERVICE as well as fair pricing, and A Bead Store's classes are VERY high in price IMHO. As for the dog in the store, I love dogs and that's about the only thing good I can say about A Bead Store, that the dog is adorable. After my awful experiences at A Bead Store I would only like to have been able to rescue this poor dog from the clueless (about running a retail business as well as how to treat people nicely) owners, The store has little traffic and it's not difficult for me to understand why. The prices are the highest around for classes that I found, DOUBLE the prices in the bead store only two blocks west on NE 2nd, and a little high too in my opinion for product. I dunno, but I predict this place will be out of business within the year given the excellent competition around and the better servicde abounding in other bead stores.. I would skip A Bead Store and head to Boca Beads which is about nine miles down the road and well worth the trip; or, next best, head to Beads on the Avenue only two blocks west in almost exactly the same spot as A Bead Store.

I agree with the prior reviewer which states that there is not a good selection of merchandise in this store. Compared with other area stores, the selection is actually rather shabby, not creative in choices of product, and overpriced (but...the store is right off the Avenue, so retail rent prices must be very high). The store is not well lit and lacking services. For example, when I wanted to use the wash closet, I was told that it was broken, was broken frequently, and was told to go the cafe next door to use one. I've also had merchandise I've purchased at A Bead Store in Delray Beach, FL break on me, so I feel that some of the merchandise is not well made and defective. While working on a project there, I was having some difficulty with the finish and was rather vocal about the difficulty I was having (I was really suffering with it!). Not one employee, not even the owner, lifted a finger of their assumed vast bead experience to help me, even after I spend money on merchandise (some of which broke the next day and so was defective). The store wasn't crowded, either. The owners were working on their own projects so it wouldn't have been a big deal to offer me some asssitance. I have received attentive help in other nearby bead stores when I've run into difficulties working an item, and find those stores a lot more pleasant than this one and would recommend them instead. There's a dog in the store, and he seems nice - but he's a rather lush coated dog, so if you have allergies or asthma you may want to skip this shoppe. Also, there's a child in the store, so if you don't want to be doing fine bead work around young kids, this may not be your style. I work around kids a lot and so going to a bead store is usually my down time away from kids. This child is loud, active and in close quarters to folks working at her will. When I expect down time and am working with needle, thread, and small beads I personally would rather not have any young children around unless they're still in a stroller and not actively moving around yet.. For those that have kids, this may be an opportunity to go somewhere kid friendly (but don't let them ingest the beads when you drop them, which you will!). Also remember that if you bring your kids, that the wash closet may likely not be working (according to the owners, it breaks a lot). There's also loud construction going on next door which makes it very difficult to focus and to work. Try other bead stores around. The prices are better, the staff more attentive, and the merchandise not defective, to summarize a few of the points. IMHO this is one shoppe to skip.

Adriana's Beads is a special bead store because of its owner. Adriana has such a wonderful personality and that is reflected in her store. She may not have the largest selection in the area, but she does provide the most unique ideas. She gives one on one beading classes and is always willing to give suggestions. When I go to her store, I always buy something & leave with more ideas. She knows how to put things together in creative and eye-catching ways.

PROS: Great classes and great people
CONS:
