It was a really good experience. My salesperson went above and beyond. I would make the drive again from Jacksonville to purchase another vehicle from this dealership!! I feel sad reading the reviews that are bad, because you're expected to have great, I'm in retail and I understand when you make a consumer happy, he/she tells maybe 1 to 3 people, if they leave unhappy they tell the world! I know it takes alot to write a review if you're happy because we as consumers expected it. I'm sure this dealership deals with over 500 service and sales customers a month and all you have for reviews are couple of mad people and a disgruntled ex employee. Keep it up St augustine Toyota, you rock!!!

You think I would have known better, then to let my wife deal with this company. After all I worked there for two years. But no I sent here down there anyway. They were dishonest when I worked there and still are. They would not let her have the paper work until she took delivery of the car, first sign there was something wrong. Reason, she could/would have backed out before the car got there, and she would have. This is the Dealer Ship Management for you. On the Finance paperwork they took her trades off wow what a deal. Read these reviews, double check your paper work I would attach mine but it's not allowed.
This dealership LOVES ripping people off. Its the only thing they know how to do.
DO NOT WORK WITH THIS DEALER! They will RIP you off.

I took my Toyota Matrix in for the 30,000 mile maintenance. My intake person was Chrissy. She read all the items under the 30,000 mile check up to me. She added alignment...didn't say, "we recommend an alignment at 30,000 and would you like it done." By just adding it I thought it was part of the service. When I came to pay the bill I saw the alignment charge separately on it. When I questioned the cashier, she said that I would have to pay the bill and talk to Chrissy. She was busy so I called her later in the day. When she realized that I was an unhappy customer she became extremely defensive. Insisted that I had asked for an alignment and that she had worked at Toyota for over 12 years and did not make mistakes. She told me that there was nothing she could or would do about the bill and hung up on me. I found this to be shocking behavior from what was I thought was a reputable dealership. I'm taking my business elsewhere.

I service my 2009 Toyota Prius at St Augustine Toyota on a regular basis. I truly enjoy the knowledge of the service representatives I have worked with. I always feel like my car is in good hands!
I also love that they offer a shuttle service that allows me to drop off the car and get a lift back to work.

I own a IS250 and was sick of paying $100+ to get my oil changed. My friend recommended going to St. Augustine Toyota. I got my oil changed in an hour and saved $70. I'm very happy with the service I received.

I would never buy a car from this dealership, they added $4000.00 above the MSR on a Toyota Prius because of the high demand !! Went to Ocala Toyoto and bought the same car for over $4000.00 less. If you want a Toyoto go to Ocala they will treat you great.

I moved to St. Augustine from Gainesville not too long ago. Having had a great experience with the Toyota dealership in Gainesville, I immediately looked for the Toyota dealership here in St. Augustine for my next service, etc. After finding it online, I started reading the reviews and noticed the amount of people dissatisfied with the place.
Well this morning I'm writing to confirm the negative reviews of this dealership.
I received some warning lights on my 4Runner yesterday morning, so I took it in. The service guy says to me: "It's going to be $99.99 just to check (or scan) for the problem. I said, ok, thinking it was the same at all Toyota dealerships. The courtesy van took me to work. While sitting in my office, I called the Gainesville dealership and explained my 4Runner issues. But this Gainesville service guy said "It's only $49.99 to scan the car for problems and that's the price it should be everywhere for all Toyota dealerships. If they charge more than that then they are just trying to get money off you". So I called the St Augustine Toyota and told them to stop work on my 4Runner immediately and that I was taking my car to Gainesville to get worked on (I was going to Gainesville in a few days anyway) because it was cheaper, 50% cheaper.
As good customer service would go, I was hoping they would say something to the effect of "we will do it for you for that price" or something like that. They just said "ok, come get your truck then". Just like that.
On the way back to the dealership, I was telling the courtesy car driver about my issue and then he says to me "you didn't hear this from me, but this place will try to get every bit of money out of you as possible". Then the other passengers in the courtesy van said "no wonder they have had 4 different general managers in the last 5 years".

Anyways, I'm one of those people that is all about customer service and how easy I think it is to provide it. There were many things they could have done to EASILY make me a returning customer. Instead, they miserably failed. Don't these people know the returning customer is the best customer? Toyota needs to get some of this people trained on "Service". I mean, 80% of what they do is service, and if they don't have the proper skills to provide it then what good are they?

Thanks for listening to my rambling. I will give it one star because the person I talked to while making my appointment and the courtesy van driver were very friendly and helpful.

My husband brought his car in on 3 different occasions to Lighthouse/St. Augustine Toyota and every time they forgot to fill up the washer fluid. The last time we brought the car in on 3-24-10, we told the service guy when we dropped the car off that every time we have brought it in they have forgotten to fill the washer fluid after dropping around $100.00 each time. So when we got the car back after service we noticed that every time we ran the washer fluid - it smelled like sewer water. Those jerks must have put sewer water/toilet water in the washer fluid container because it seriously smelled horrid.

Brought my daughters car in for service, stood in the service area for about 15 minutes before anyone would even make eye contact with me. Had an appoint with Gary, he wasn't in that day. Talked to a complete moron named Mark, the head service guy, that fat bastard was disorganized, sloppy and out right rude. Appologized for the lack of service, his excuse, "I can't get people to show up for work" and "the management doesn't give a damn", his words not mine ! Finally got my car in to be looked at and sat in the customer waiting area. I watch 2 female service advisors running their asses off while 2 other service guys, sit in their offices, one reading the paper, the other playing solitaire on his computer. All the while this Mark is walking around aimlessly trying to look as important as he could. I'm no expert on how to run a service dept., but, WOW !! What a cast of total misfits. I'm not the only one who noticed this either, an elderly woman sitting in the waiting area mentioned to me that she hadn't seen either of the two male employees get up off of their asses too and that the fat guy, seemed more worried about something to do with who did or didn't get his email that he just sent out ! Once the car was in for its oil change, it only took about a half hour to complete but actually getting it In for the oil change took 45 minutes ! The next time, i'll drive the few miles to Jacksonville or Palm Coast for service

We had the same exact thing happen to us. If I'm not mistaken "Tires for Life Contract" states get oil changes, balance and rotation when suggested and you qualify for new tires. You just pay for the alignment. We had our tire replaced a year ago and now they say our tires don't qualify. BUT they replaced them a year ago. Go figure. I followed the contract rules.... have they??? I hear that's breach of contract.

the service department is not as good as you would think it should be. We puchased our car from jacksonville and had all of our service in st augustine. They gave us such a hard time after two years of paying top dollar for scheduled service work to keep our tires for life and then the day I needed tires I had to throw a real kaniption fit to have them give me a set a tires. If this was all explained prior to years of expensive service visits I would not have been so angry. And by the way this was after I ALREADYHAD A SET OF TIRES PROVIDED A YEAR PRIOR.
