Every time I am in Sarasota I make sure that I go to the Cafe Continental at least once for breakfast. Owned and operated by a married couple from London, the Cafe Continental offers a superb selection of breakfast items, including fresh scones and excellent coffee. I'm particularly fond of the corn beef hash with home fries and an English muffin. The service is excellent (most of the waitresses have been there since I have been going), the food is delicious, and the prices are reasonable.An added bonus, after breakfast you are only a short walk from Siesta beach, one of the finest beaches in the country.
