Ate there once. Food was terrible, service even worse. Place was not clean. Was no management to be seen. Would not return.

My family and I decided to stop in for some Mexican food ?? what a mistake... Never again the restaurant was really dirty, I went to the bathroom to wash my hands and it looked and smelled horrible. When I returned to my table there was a dead roach on the floor that's when I decided we where leaving bottom line dirty never be back .

The ceiling was molding around a ac vent above where I was sitting.
The molding ac would drip into my food. I told the waiter and he said a little would not hurt me. Yikes....Have not been back there.

When I am in my hometown, Alamo is always a fave destination for the freshest chips, salsa and guacamole around! I have never had a bad meal there, everything is super fresh and authentic.Margaritas are so tasty too! The restaurant itself is off US 1 in an A-frame type building and isn't real fancy, but worth a trip if you are in the mood for delicious Mexican food!

The food at the Alamo is the best in Florida. Every time I have been in that area we make it a point to have dinner. Two time in a year. The owners are so friendly and make you feel welcomed as are the staff. The waitress come right to your table with chips & salsa. They have fresh chips, they make them at the resturant. We have ordered different items each time & always fresh just out of the oven. It is truly Mexican food. The recipes are from her mother who lived in El Paso,Texas. The resturant has been around for over 43 years in same location. Nice paint colors inside & out. Great atmosphere. Bar area is pretty with lots of colorful tile. It is a family own & mostly run. \r\nCan't wait to go back... I might have to overnight a couple of items.\r\nI hope you will go to this resturant..Happy eating

The whole experience was so bad that I'm not even sure where to start.\r\n\r\nI dont think the fall of this restaurant is its lack of being ""authentic""... but that the quality is just BAD.\r\n\r\nThe tortilla chips were not the golden, crisp warm chips you would expect from an authentic restaurant.. they were so pale and palid I wondered if they hadnt come straight from a bag.\r\n\r\nThe salsa, though it was fresh.. was so runny there wasnt enough substance to make it stick to the chip.. I was tempted to ask for a straw.. but didnt because I was at this point in fear of our waitress, and I'll tell you why-\r\n\r\nA table of eldery people were sat near us... and were for the most part ignored except that they were given drinks. After sitting for some while they asked for their waitress, as they had been sitting there for some time (and it was no exageration, their drinks were already half empty). From the other side of the restaurant comes charging out their waitress, who yells half way across the place, ""You dont have to start a commotion!! We are on a rotation here, and you arent the only people in the restaurant!"" No way to treat a customer if you ask me... especially one who really wasnt that angry to begin with. If it had been me I would have walked out at that moment. But being that they were elderly with a handicapped person... leaving was obviously not a simple solution. So they opted for asking for a different waitress...\r\n\r\nDrama over I decided to focus on our own meals that were just arriving.\r\nThe side items seemed pre-plated, so that the entrees could be plopped down in the center. The refried beans were covered in a thick dry crust... the cheese on the rice well melted and rehardened to cause an unpleasant clump.\r\n\r\nThe fried ice cream, not fried at all, but rolled in a corn flake honey concoction... a cop out I've seen plenty of times at cheap Mexican joints.\r\n\r\nWe will not be returning. Its fascinating that this place has been in business as long as it has.

I was really surprised to see a bad review here of the Alamo. My husband is bonafide TexMex and this is the only Mexican restaurant in Brevard County that he'll go back to -and we do, about twice a month for the last 5 months. It is beautifully authentic in appearance, and the staff could not be nicer. We have had enchilladas, fajitas, quesadillas - it has all been great and REAL Mexican, not Cuban mush trying to masquerade as Mexican. The green chile stew is not to be missed!

I am a major fan of mexican food but the food here is very undesirable. I get better taste from taco bell of all places. I have heard a few great things about this place then i go and the food is extremely lacking flavor. I thought maybe it was just the particular food that i got but there was a good size group of us and all our food was bland.

They have the best salsa any were. They have fresh chips and the food is the best I have ever found. Even living in new mexico the food at the alamo is so much better. Everything is so fresh and the prices are great. You get a full plate of food for a real low price. I have never left hungry. The service is some of the best I have ever found. Everyone treats you like you are part of the family.
