Houston's Restaurant

This was my first time going to this chain. The one in Coral Gables is nice, but in the end it's just too expensive for totally mediocre food. I had a chicken dish that was simply overcooked; the chicken was completely dry and devoid of any flavor. I won't be going back again.

Pros: Decent food

The service is the best I've ever experience - the food was superb ! If you don't like this place then maybe there is something wrong with y-o-u.........know what I mean ?

I love the spinach dip, the smoked salmon, the Prime rib and the vegetable plate! Everything on the menu is fresh and delish!
There is always a long wait for dinner and the bar is always crowded..

Wow i absolutely love hustons! i love their stake and ribs and especially their key lime pie. the waiters were excellent they were always there when we needed them.the bad thing is that they dont take reservations and there is a wait. Although the hustons restaurant in north miami beach is not even close to as good as the one in coral gables! Try hustons its absolutely excellent!

My friends and I LOVE to eat at Houston's. I can't give it 5 stars because I think they need to change their menu every once in a while...as long as my favorites (Baby back ribs, Houston salad, Char-Grilled Burger) stay on the menu. The service is great, the food is well-prepared and served hot, but I do agree that more items to delicious items to choose from is a great idea.

If you've been to one before you know what to expect. I think the food is really good although a bit overpriced as are the drinks. The service is of course wonderful and there are tons of people running around if you can't find your server. They don't take reservations and the wait is ridiculous any hour on any day. But, it's definitely a place to be seen at happy hour.

my girl friend had her phone stolen by the parking lot girl who was driving the golf carts watch out for this place im still waiting to see if they refund the 200 dollars for a relacement the manager was profesional in taking the info still waiting for the results just wach your hand bags around the help ..i think the crowds are just too much for me thats why i refused to go with her when it happened... wish i had

I always loved the Biltmore Chicken Sandwich. They took it away and replaced it with a Rotisserie Chicken Sandwich, which is horrible! I know what you're thinking, "it's rotisserie chicken, how could that make such a big difference?" Well, it's something about the flavor that just doesn't work in the sandwich, it's awful! It's a shame because I live down the street and love their caesar salad and now there are no entrees I eat! (not to mention they won't do take-out)
Houston's: Please, please bring the Biltmore back!

I WENT THERE TWO TIMES AND THE IMPRESSION WAS THE SAME. ONLY A FASHION PLACE.
THE PLACE IS BEAUTIFUL BUT VERY NOISY, CUSTOMERS PRATICALLY EAT AT THE SAME TABLE, THE SERVICE IS VERY SLOW AND THE MENU SELECTION IS VERY POOR... LIKE THE FOOD.
THE PLACE IS ALWAYS FULL AND PEOPLE FIGHT FOR A TABLE AND I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY... OH, YEAH, I FORGOT... FASHION, THAT'S IT.

Pros: FULL OF PEOPLE.

Cons: ONLY A FASHION PLACE.

I love this restaurant...I have never had a bad experience here. You will have to wait to eat...but it is worth it. I recommend the smoked salmon or spinach dip appetizer with a bottle of Rombauer Chardonnay...it is sssoo good! The steak here is always delicious as well as any of their other entrees. I go to this restaurant often....and I have never been disappointed.

I was introduced to Houstons as a fluke one night in Miami. Since then, I have actually flown to Miami to catch a flight home, just to have dinner there. I have yet to find anything wrong with the staff, service and quality, and believe me, I have tried. The best of the best........Hats off to Houstons.

The Spinach Dip and the Ribs are excellent here! this is a must try for those who love ribs. you can almost compare it with the ribs in Flannigan's (which are my favorite).The staff had a good attitude and we did not wait long to be seated. We were satisfied.

I go to Houstons about 2-3 times a week. My boyfriend and I are very well known in this restaurant due to our frequency. I love the porkchops with the baked potato. Its amazing. Their spinach dip is to die for, thats my favorite dish. Sometimes we get to the restaurant and since we know almost every waitress they know that once we sit we requesat some spinach dip. Its like family there. I highly recommend this place.

The title should say it all; but, to explain -- when food finally did reach the table, it was COLD! I do not mean the salad - I mean the beef was cold, the fries were cold and to top it all off, the wait staff was rather cold as well!

Venture to this location only if you dare!

This place is an animal house. Why would anyone want to dine in a place where you've got 2 inches of elbow room? For that, I'd hop on a 747--get more room on a plane. The food is overated and the Coral Gables ambiance is filled with snobs. The heat and the bugs of Miami will make waiting outside torture.

If you haven't tried their Caesar Salad, try it. The dressing has lots of garlic and it is very tasty. The crab cakes (seasonal?) are excellent. The french dip is a favorite among people who frequent the restaurant.

Houstans is the best!! There blackened prime rib is untouchable. They have another on the menu which is marinated with pineapple. That is also the bomb! Greedy people should get the prime rib.

Everytime I come here, I order the cheeseburger. It is phenomenal and is a really good deal at just $9. I've turned all of my friends onto the burger here and sometimes, when we all go in a big group, we find ourselves all ordering the same thing. I'm often disappointed with other resaurants when I order the burger b/c it pales in comparison to Houstons!
