The two of us got into O'Steen's without at wait at 4:00pm! QUICK EXCELLENT SERVICE AND FOOD!!! I know everyone raves about the shrimp, but man-O-man - - that fried chicken is possibly my dear Grandma's own recipe!!! So Super DELICIOUS!!! The wait is outside, and so is the crowd. Smart! O'Steen's is a must go to place in this area, just ask any local. If you don't want to eat in, call ahead and take it the beach, the motel, home, or eat it in your car! it is just good old fashion home-style cooking!

I'm from Palatka but I live in Miami now and I heard about O"Steen's from the Food Network on television. So when I went home for a visit I told my mom and sisters about this restaurant on the beach. I was very surprised to see how small the place was, but not the line of people on the outside. Food TV said depending on what time you go there would be a line. I had the Shrimp Combo Platter which was more than I could finish. The Shrimp were well seasoned crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Everything was hot when it came to the table and the service was excellent. I will be going back when I go home and would recommend them to anyone who loves Seafood.

My husband used to work at O'Steen's. It's the best ever! They pride themselves on only fresh seafood -- and it shows!! We get O'Steen's at least once a week and after many years, we never grow tired of it. Just ride by any day of the week and see the people lined outside the door.

O'steens has the best fried shrimp in town. If you don't want to satnd in line, go on an off hour. The place only has about 20 tables and they fill up fast. The line to get in is outside so be aware of the weather. Prices are great and the service is awesome. Family owned and operated.

Any time you drive past O'Steen's, you'll most likely see a line of people waiting for a table. The reason? The best fried shrimp and local seafood specialities!! Be certain to ask for the special of the day and what sides are being served. Don't forget the hush puppies and extra shrimp sauce! Do what the locals do and call for take-out and beat the long lines!

This place has fried shrimp that is out of this world. Bring your comfy shoes because you will typically wait at least 60 minutes for a table, but it is absolutely worth it.

O'Steen's, a small and ordinary-looking building just across the Bridge of Lions from the still-charming city of St. Augustine, has one distinction above all: here is unquestionably the most perfect plate of fried shrimp known to man. Descriptions of these butterflied & golden-fried beauties are superfluous. Just try them....
O'Steen's is otherwise rather ordinary, though everything on the menu is good value for the low prices (especially at lunch)....
But the fried shrimp are one of the First Coast's culinary masterpieces...
