RUN AWAY - Overpriced, poor customer service and they lost my clothes

This is my NEW cleaners! My daughter was getting maried and the night before the wedding she opened the bag her gown was in to find a big red lipstic smudge! I went to my normal cleaners and they said that they were already shut down for the day and couldn't help me. I called 3 other cleaners all of them said they couldn't help. Finally I called Deluxe Cleaners, the lady that answered the phone told me they were also shut down for the day but she would call her manager to see if there was anything that could be done. A few minutes later I got a call back from the manager who had already gone home for the day but he told me to bring the dress in and he would see what he could do. I met him there about 30 minutes later and he started up all of the equipment and spent about an hour and a half with me cleaning and pressing my daughters dress himself!!! The wedding went great, my daughter was thrilled and this is why Deluxe is my new dry cleaner and will have my business for life!

First, let me say, to the dry cleaner's benefit, that I have been using this local company for 4 years without any problem.

However, their lack of response and professionalism when THEY LOST MY ORDER, has turned me to use one of their competitors in the future.

Despite the fact that they have my dry cleaning bag, WITH MY NAME AND CONTACT INFORMATION printed on the tag, I have been told that there is no record of the clothing which I dropped off to be laundered.

They have volunteered the fact that they have no memory of my order (not that I have asked if they remember, in fact, with as much business as they seem to do, why WOULD they remember??), nor are they able to search and see what other orders were dropped off on the same day (in case the clothes got mixed up), nor have they looked through the racks of clothes, nor do they offer to do so.

I've been promised phone calls and have received none.
I've asked for a solution to my missing order and have been given none.

There has been absolutely no effort on their part to correct the matter. In fact, the last thing the clerk at the desk told me was that I probably dropped off an empty bag, since the last order they have recorded in the computer is from January.

In sum, if you are lucky and they get it right, you'll get okay service. But if they lose your order, don't expect the problem to be fixed!

Returned to Jacksonville on Wed, and was still charged full price. They said "I'm sorry, but sometimes the machinery breaks down." I suggested they look into some upgrades.
If you have a week or so to have your dry cleaning done, I'm sure this is a fine establishment. If, on the other hand, you need same day service....look elseewhere.

The location on McDuff, is just awful. Clothes aren't back when they say they will be back. When they do come back most of the time they haven't bothered to follow directions...such as creasing and starching. I have recently moved and tried to keep coming back to this location, not going to do it. Wish the Butler's hadn't sold it to these people. Oh yea! White clothes that are dry cleaned come back in an Oatmeal color. The attendants are always complaining about something. Going to San Jose Cleaners from now on!

When they do come back most of the time they haven't bothered to follow directions...such as creasing and starching. I am a huge believer in local business. I love living in Riverside and having a neighborhood full of restaurants, thriving businesses and professional services within walking distance of my home. I also should have asked her why it would take 7 days to hem 2 pairs of pants but I could see that they were busy and I left it alone, expecting to get them back by the following week. I never received a call. I began calling to ask where my pants were, only to learn that they didn't know where one of them was (Ann Taylor suit pants) but they had the other (a pair of 20 dollar jeans). On my last attempt at calling, I was hung up on. I drove straight there and demanded that they give me my clothes. The clerk made me pay for one of my pairs of pants and told me that the other pair was at some factory being hemmed. I asked her to call the place, which she did and they could not find them. She gave me the owner's name and number, who I called and left a detailed message about my dissatisfaction and the unprofessional business practices I have experienced from Deluxe cleaners. The owner never returned my call. I called again this morning and for the fourth time in a row I was told that they were expected to be in by 5 p.m. today. Every single employee that I have dealt with, including the owner, will not take responsibility for there lack of customer service or offer a solution. This is a poorly run business and such a simple service should not be this problematic! I am happy to pay the (questionable) prices if I could just get my pants back! Save yourself a heap of trouble and try another place!
