I have been using Dr Jenny and her staff for over 20 years and I would not change any of the services I have received. I have 10 dogs that are very well taken care of, from seisures to cancer, and they have lasted for long past their life expectency.
When it is time to make the decision to make any one of them comfortable I have never been made to feel that I am making the wrong decision. I, as you can see have a lot of animals and being the animal lover I am can see the same quality in Dr. Jenny and her staff. She is an amazing professional that cares for the wildlife and pets in the community. I know that everyone is entitled to there opinion about the experience that they may of had. I have spent a lot of time in Niceville Animal Clinic having as many animals as I have and Dr Jenny and her staff are the best. Thank you for taking such great care of all my friends and their well being. They have always been put first and foremost.

I am very shocked at this last review "Amanda" has written about my clinic. I have been going there for many years. My pets see Dr. Jenny and Dr. Davis sees my turtles that I rescue. I have always been very satisfied with the care my pets rec. there. I find the prices not much different than when I go to my summer home in Maine. I use the grooming facility and though I miss Amy, I am getting to like and get used to the new groomer. While waiting for my pets to be seen I noticed everyone is greeted upon entering. The office manager never has failed to come greet our pet and me in the exam room. She has always been very pleasent and cheerful. From this last brutal review from Amanda on Dr. Jenny & Linda, I would bet my bottom dollar this is a disgruntled employee. This is a very unprofessional and unjustified attack on them. Anyone who goes to the clinic knows how absurd that complaint is. I guess nowadays employees can't get fired without trying to harm their employers where it hurts...on the web! Linda & Dr. Jenny, just know that your true clients know and love you and your caring staff. Samantha R.

Dear Dr. Jenny and Staff,

God Bless you all!
I can't form the proper words to thank you all for compassion and tenderness you displayed to me and my son over the death of our Tara. The circumstances surrounding that ordeal was truly bitter and the one good thing about it was meeting all of you and recieving your warmth and care. I am telling everyone with pets to visit your Clinic! You all are the best and again thank you so much for your compassion and understanding!

I boarded my dog here after a family emergency called me out of town. They were beyond helpful and caring, I felt like I had left her with family. He is very old and would not eat, they called to see if it was ok to do bloodwork to make sure nothing more severe was going on. I had toured the kennel and was very happy with the level of cleanliness. Each dog has their own bed raised off the floor and they are taken outside three times a day to go to the bathroom. I cannot tell you how much peace of mind I had about leaving him with such caring people. The vet is also excellent, they came highly recommended in the community and have the reputation of taking the most difficult cases and making sense out of them. I cannot say enough positive things about the folks there and the way they work with their clients

When I picked up my dog after a week of boarding, I was appalled. He had feces and urine all over his back legs and head. He had sores on his back. Not too mention the yellow puss caked on his eyes and now I have discovered ear mites. I am also wondering if they ever gave him water. Since he has been home, he has gone through three bowls in 3 hours. They were over priced and not very friendly. I have lived in Atlanta most of my life and expected more from a smaller community. You can bet that I will never go back and strongly suggest you don't as well. Be sure to ask to see the kennels of any place before you say ok and pay.

Tho I have never lived in Florida and taken my animals to the clinic, I can only tell you how fast they greeted me, with an e-mail when I asked if I could redesign a website for them for my school project.

Dr. Jenny was very nice and easy to work with. I got an A+ for the design and I even asked if she wanted all the files to use for her website

Here was the design I came up with http://mjserv.x10hosting.com/niceville_files/

Thanks Niceville Animal Clinic, you got my foot in the door for a intern here In South Lake Tahoe, California

I can't believe that woman who wrote in and complained about Niceville Animal Clinic, who said customer service is more important to her than her animals care!!!!!????? I love my animals and I want them made as comfortable and get as much, actually more attention than I can give them at home. I've been taking my animals there for years. They welcome kennel tours anytime. The kennels are immaculate. Try and do this at other kennels. They will give you a time when to come back and look. And not surprised its never the same day you're there! I left my pets there at Thanksgiving and all the kennels had just been freshly painted and new off-the floor bedding was purchased. Although I always get a to-go-home-bath. They have their kennels routinely serviced to ensure my pets don't come home with fleas. I love the fact that everyone greets my pets by their names. Maybe because they get their yearly shots there. I love the fact that if anything should come up , my vet is on the premises with them!!! Don't listen to me ....go see for yourself!

Although I can't complain about the actual boarding services they provide as my dog came out unscathed after a 5 day stay, their customer service is awful! I initially used their online request form to gather more information about boarding, after a week of no response, I picked up the phone and called. I was greeted by an unfriendly voice on the other end who asked if they could take my number and call me back. I got no call back that day or the next. At this point, I should've taken a hint and moved on to another boarding facility, but I called again and spoke with a Robert who said a reservation was not needed and to just come in the morning of to drop off my dog and fill out the paperwork (allowing 15 minutes).

I showed up the day we were driving out of town with my dog and was immediately turned off by the appearance and smell of the front reception area. There were two dead cockroaches on the floor and it smelled heavily of urine. Yet again, instead of walking out, I proceeded to check my dog in with Robert. I was one of two clients waiting to be taken care of in the office, yet Robert continued to answer the phone and assist callers rather than the clients standing in front of him. There were 3 other employees in the office, but none of them seemed to care. After 30 minutes of waiting, I finally got my dog checked in...mind you with no apologies from the staff about the delay.

I just called again today to see if they were booked for Christmas and again, was told they would call me back. Nevermind...I'm going to Kritter Kennels instead. Regardless of how they care for my dog, customer service says it all.

My husband and I adopted a kitten from New Beginnings on that very rainy Memorial Day weekend of 2009.His shelter name was "Ace" (we renamed him Norman), he had been there 3mths.He was estimated to be 5 months old. I will keep this brief but wanted to tell you what a marvelous little animal he is.He is Mr. Personality. He is fearless. He loves everyone in our house, our guests, and his cat brothers. He has brought us more joy than one can ever imagine. He is still growing (over 10 mpounds in 10 months). We just wanted to say thank you to your staff for caring for him and fostering him until we found him! Jennifer & Jake J.

We can never thank the wonderful people of Niceville Animal Clinic for all that you did for Muffin during her years on this earth. To thank you by name might lead to someone very important being left out in error.Rest assured all of you will be in our prayers forever. We know that Muffin is playing with Anne in Heaven right now.God Bless each and everyone of you. I am extremely pleased with this clinic. I've been a client for well over 10 years. Dr. Jenny has seen all of my pets. They absolutely have the best service and care available. Before Niceville Animal Clinic, I was going to a vet that would tell me to try 5 different medicines, and set up 10 different office visits, and the last round he would exclaim, "oh thats what I thought the problem was!" Dr. Jenny is always straight forward and puts everything into layman's terms.

The boarding facility is also excellent. We had family that was evacuating here from Mississippi during hurricane Katrina and they would not be arriving until well after 9pm on a Saturday and the staff was more than willing to meet them there and find a kennel for their pets.

I also board my dogs here and I couldn't ask for anything better. They even have a person that is paid to take your dogs out of the kennel and play with the dogs one on one during the day. I think people who are upset about the boarding here, are not completely sane. Dog kennels cannot possibly be kept human hospital clean, its just not realistic. When dogs/cats get nervous...THEY POOP AND PEE, its just how it is, my dog has been potty trained for 5 years and he still pees on himself when he goes into the kennel because of his nerves. I can't blame the staff for that. They even approached me and told me that they had to give my dog a couple unexpected baths because of this. I was happy they were honest!

I won't be taking my pets anywhere else but NAC.

This is a very excellent clinic, the doctor is very caring and extremely knowledgeable. We had taken our dog to three other vets and they did not have a clue. She right away knew what was wrong and gave us the right answer. We could not fix him, but at least we felt we had done all we could and were happy to have the right answer before we let him go. She is very busy so expect a wait, but who wants to go to a vet who doesn't have anyone in the waiting room! I could not recommend them highly enough. Their boarding is great also, open inspection anytime, and it was as clean as could be. We miss our little guy, but we would not go anywhere else but here. Just the Best

I have boarded my animal many times and the folks there will give you a complete tour of the boarding area anytime. I have seen the facilities myself and they are very clean, the staff cares tremendously about the animals and my experience has always been positive. Not many kennels will let you see the back of the house, I have been in a few as I always inspect where my animal will stay and they were far and away the best in both cleanliness and animal care. The do take in a lot of animals during holidays and always stay open during hurricanes to help people that must leave their animals behind. If you are concerned I would suggest that you ask for a tour and you will get one. They also support a shelter for special needs animals in destin. These animals are scheduled for euthanasia and they take them, operate to remove damaged eyes, fix broken legs, remove tumors, spay, neuter, vaccinate, deworm and then give them away to new homes. They have placed over 250 animals in the 6 months they have been doing this, that is a huge positive in my book. Go visit New Beginnings Animal Sanctuary at Frogs to Dogs and get a real experience. Kudos to the staff for all they do

This clinic has the most caring staff in the world, the doctor diagnosed my dog after I had been to three other vets that did not have a clue what was wrong. I feel like I have my pets life back as I was almost ready to put her to sleep. They may be disorganized, but they see over a hundred animals a day and I for one would rather go to a busy clinic that is a little messy than a spotless one that does not have anyone in the waiting room. They have a reputation for getting the right answers and fixing the problem.

Pthe wild.
Dr. Jenny Fortune of the Niceville Animal Clinic started New Beginnings animal shelter at her Frogs to Dogs clinic at 247 Main St.

"I've got this strange assortment of three-legged dogs and blind cats," Fortune said. "I was really fearful (when I started) that I'd have 30 animals to care for all my life, but we've placed close to 60 animals in two months."

Fortune does not charge an adoption fee for the special-needs animals. There is a short interview with Fortune or another staff member to make sure people adopting the animals will provide a good home.

A series of events led to Fortune opening the shelter. She had an employee who was deaf, and when she was looking for a pet she chose a blind kitten. Fortune's daughter also had a kitten that went blind at about 2 years old.

A friend of Fortune's family had a litter of labs, but one of the puppies was born without a hip and they considered putting it to sleep. Instead, Fortune replaced the puppy's hip and the dog recovered. She later found a home for it.

"I have been surprised at the level of community support (for the special-needs shelter)," Fortune said. "This has been the most rewarding thing I've done."

New Beginnings houses nearly two dozen special-needs animals.

When the shelter opened in May, Fortune and her staff would call animal agencies in Okaloosa, Santa Rosa, Walton and Escambia counties to look for animals that were more difficult to place than the typical puppy or kitten.

Now those agencies are contacting New Beginnings when they come across a special-needs animal.

A 4-month-old border collie named Eddie has become the official greeter at the shelter. He was brought there after someone cut off his ears and front paws.

Eddie has recovered from the injuries. While he walks a little more gingerly than most puppies would, he plays around the building and waits for someone to pick him up or pet him.

"Nobody personifies what we're trying to do more than him," said Nikki Headley, who works at the shelter.

It costs about $8,000 a month to run the shelter, which has a small paid staff along with volunteers from local high schools. Fortune said donations each month usually cover the cost to rent the building. She covers the remaining expenses.

Fortune is considering starting a charitable trust to help with funding.

When I walked in I was not greeted until 10 minutes later with the office worker sitting right in front of me. It smelled horrible of pet urine, even in the waiting room. I waited even longer once we were in an exam room. The rooms connect to a back hallway and some of the staff were arguing and talking badly about some of the customers and when they realized I was right there they shut the door like I wouldn't be able to still hear them. In the end I was charged well over $100 for nothing, and 40 of it was for the office visit. i do not recommend at all....

I went there for several years when I lived in Niceville and continued after but the continually not being seen when your appt was. Waiting in the waiting room, then waiting longer in the offices for the vet tech to see you. The doctors stopped doing as detailed checks on my dogs. Good people just not as good as I would prefer.

We travel a lot but with two big dogs we are always looking for a boarding place. Niceville Animal Clinic is our kennel of choice. Our dogs are big (a chocolate lab and a golden retriever) but the staff at Niceville Animal Clinic handles them with no problems. Our Golden is especially bad (he's still a puppy - a hundred pound puppy) and the staff just smiles every time. The dogs always seem happy to go and we travel better knowing they're well cared for.

PROS: great kennel
CONS: none

Our dogs are big (a chocolate lab and a golden retriever) but the staff at Niceville Animal Clinic handles them with no problems. Our Golden is especially bad (he's still a puppy - a hundred pound puppy) and the staff just smiles every time. The dogs always seem happy to go and we travel better knowing they're well cared for.

PROS: great kennel
CONS: none

.

They provide excellent pet care and boarding service. Superb animal hospital and vet care services. Only place I take my dog to have his nails trimmed. Friendly staff.

PROS: Complete animal care
CONS: Not convenient if you don't live in Niceville
