Bought a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee, like new, awesome. Got a good price and was treated very well by everybody from the salesperson all the way through the finance lady.. There was no pressure whatsoever. I would highly recommend Gator!

Ibought a 2005 Scion from the Gator used car lot on Palm Bay Road, because I thought they are reputable, I WAS WRONG!!!!!\r\nI made 1 payment to the bank and the transmission went out, $2100.00 \r\nI called the manager to see if they could at least split it with me and was told no they could put a junkyard transmission in it for about $600.00 with no guarantee.\r\nIf this was the last place to buy a vehicle I would rather walk!!!!!!\r\n\r\nSTAY AWAY FROM THESE CROOKS.

Do yourself a favor take your business elsewhere. Talk about petty operators. If you insist on going anyway, all I can say is don't believe anything they tell you. They take 'buyer beware' to a new leve

Letter from a Dodge dealer
May 19, 2009

letter to the editor

My name is George C. Joseph. I am the sole owner of Sunshine Dodge-Isuzu, a family owned and operated business in Melbourne, Florida. My family bought and paid for this automobile franchise 35 years ago in 1974. I am the second generation to manage this business.

We currently employ 50+ people and before the economic slowdown we employed over 70 local people. We are active in the community and the local chamber of commerce. We deal with several dozen local vendors on a day to day basis and many more during a month. All depend on our business for part of their livelihood. We are financially strong with great respect in the market place and community. We have strong local presence and stability.

I work every day the store is open, nine to ten hours a day. I know most of our customers and all our employees. Sunshine Dodge is my life.

On Thursday, May 14, 2009 I was notified that my Dodge franchise, that we purchased, will be taken away from my family on June 9, 2009 without compensation and given to another dealer at no cost to them. My new vehicle inventory consists of 125 vehicles with a financed balance of 3 million dollars. This inventory becomes impossible to sell with no factory incentives beyond June 9, 2009. Without the Dodge franchise we can no longer sell a new Dodge as "new," nor will we be able to do any warranty service work. Additionally, my Dodge parts inventory, (approximately $300,000.) is virtually worthless without the ability to perform warranty service. There is no offer from Chrysler to buy back the vehicles or parts inventory.

Our facility was recently totally renovated at Chrysler??s insistence, incurring a multi-million dollar debt in the form of a mortgage at Sun Trust Bank.

HOW IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA CAN THIS HAPPEN?

THIS IS A PRIVATE BUSINESS NOT A GOVERNMENT ENTITY

This is beyond imagination! My business is being stolen from me through NO FAULT OF OUR OWN. We did NOTHING wrong.

This atrocity will most likely force my family into bankruptcy. This will also cause our 50+ employees to be unemployed. How will they provide for their families? This is a total economic disaster.

HOW CAN THIS HAPPEN IN A FREE MARKET ECONOMY IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA?

I beseech your help, and look forward to your reply. Thank you.

Sincerely,

George C. Joseph

Business Response:

We ARE NOT SUNSHINE DODGE. THIS REVIEW IS MISPLACED. Sunshine Dodge went out of business and we took over their property in 2010. We have no, and have never had any affiliation with Sunshine Dodge.

I don't usually write reviews, but I am so angry at the service that I got at this dealership. My husband took our minivan to the shop and it sat in the shop all week waiting for a part. Finally when he went to pick up the car, it cost us almost $1,500.00 and the mechanic directed my husband to a car salesman who was determined to sell my husband a new car, even though my husband told him "no" repeatedly over the phone and in person. Not only was the price excessively high, but the mechanic said he "nickeld" and "dimed" it to boot! Don't go to this dealership!!!

Bought a used car with warranty from Sunshine Dodge in Jan 2008. Sunshine kept car a week to cleanup and repaint hood., said they guaranteed the paint on hood or would repaint for us. 5 months later hood is peeling 2Ft x 2Ft and Sunshine Dodge said We would have to Pay for repainting(Big Bucks). Needless to\r\nsay I would not have bought a car from them had I known this is how they treat their customers!\r\n BEWARE BUYERS.

Beware! This dealership maybe quick in diagnosising the problem, but thru our experience we found it to be incorrect and only in business to make a buck. The problem we came in for wasn't fixed and we were told it was an entirely different problem. At the time we were under warranty, but now that the problem was never fixed we are not under warranty and experiencing more problems. This dealership is not any futher help to us unless we have more money to dish out. My advice is to seek another dealership if you want a quality car.

YOU NEVER WANT TO HAVE A NEED TO USE A REPAIR
COMPANY FOR ANYTHING ESPECIALLY YOUR CAR. THE REASON WE LIKE SUNSHINE IS THEY DO HAVE GREAT MECHANICS AND THE INTAKE PEOPLE ARE GREAT. WE ALWAYS USE ONE PERSON THERE ROBBIE S. HE GETS
THE CARS IN AND OUT AS QUICK AS POSSIBLE AND ALWAYS KEEPS YOU INFORMED ABOUT THE PROGRESS OF YOUR VEHICLE. I THINK THAT IS A GREAT ASSET. TO
BE HONEST WE HAVE COMPARED PRICES AND THEY
ARE IN LINE WITH OTHERS. I HAVE HEARD STAY AWAY FROM DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIRS BUT NOT THIS ONE
