THE ARE NOT CLOSED!!
(because I went to their store. I had a not so pleasant experience. Rude and dismissive people.)
Teacups Puppies & Boutique just keeps moving from place to place whenever the get in trouble with the city.

Snooping around the internet I found out they were fined by the city and move their puppy mill down the street to 9003 Taft Street.Pembroke Pines, Florida
Still in operation!!!

********MUST READ********
Please, do not buy a "designer dog"/teacup! These dogs are excessively bred down using the weakest, most underdeveloped dogs and breeding them to get the smallest option. Teacup dogs are prone to multiple health problems including open soft spots on cranial from underdevelopment, hypoglycermia from bad digestion, and organ failure, weak bones, seizures, and much more. My friend just lost her teacup dog to heart failure and anemia from poor digestion. These are living, conscious, loving beings, and they do not deserve this! If you love animals, you will not support this cruel, money-hungry industry! Go to a shelter and adopt a loving, helpless dog!

I too purchased a puppy Maltese from this shop in December of 2010. The shop owners did not reveal the names of the breeders until after the purchase was complete, but both women assured me they worked with only top-notch reputable breeders (thus the high price tag on my puppy.)

Later I learned that my puppy was from a litter of backyard breeders. It was too late to go back. I love my Maltese dearly but it turns out that she's got hereditary orthopedic problems (discovered at only 8 months old). This will in turn cost me a small fortune to take care of. (I pray I don't discover anything worse as she grows older!) I believe it's due to irresponsible breeding. Lesson learned? GOOD BREEDERS DO NOT SELL TO PUPPY BROKERS EVER!

Please do your research and either adopt or purchase your pup directly from a reputable breeder.

Donna & Eleanora are the best owners! They came all the way to New York to bring me my puppy. He is a little gem and I love him! I recommend Teacups Puppies to everyone who is looking to fill their hearts with a loveable puppy!

Having been a previous employee I can say with honesty that the owners of this boutique love the animals. I purchased two pets one of which has a genetic disorder. At the age 1 1/2 yrs old she began urinating blood. She was diagnosed with bladder stones. Bladder stones are typically a genetic disorder of schnauzer and commonly found in older pets. After the cystonomy, she must remain on medicated food. Now at three years she will probably require another operation for the same condition. Teacups Puppies and Boutique have to do research on their breeders. Their breeders are choosing looks over health.

My girlfriend and I purchased a puppy there in the summer of 2008. We knew her as Emma, they knew her as puppy # 441(I believe). The two female owners assured us of their high standards regarding health, selection, and longevity of life. Although we had not heard the best information regarding local pet stores in general, they seemed to care so much for their puppies and store that we bought into their assurances.

Emma was a beautiful 5 lb. Maltese. Unfortunately, wherever she came from, beauty over health was demanded. Just recently Emma began to suffer from seizures. At first we thought, and hoped, it was just a form of epilepsy. This was not the case, Emma had a neurological and genetic disease (this from two vets and a neurology specialist). The disease was similar to a form of encephalitis.

After several heart-wrenching weeks with our struggling, and weakening, Emma, we were basically advised that nothing could be done. Emma had to be put to rest over this past weekend, she was suffering dearly, having as many as 9 seizures per day.

We gave Emma all of our love from beginning to end. Both watching her suffer and being forced to see the poor little girl be put to sleep was something nobody should have to go through. I highly doubt this is an isolated incident, and would not advise anybody to take the risk of purchasing a puppy from this establishment or any other place that will not disclose the dog's lineage.

We will always remember Emma for the wonderful times we had with her. But, eventually, we will be ready to welcome a new dog into our home. This time, however, the dog will be from a reputable licensed breeder.

I'm sure many others have gone through this and know how painful it is. For those who haven't and are searching for a puppy, avoid this. Do not purchase from here. Do your research and purchase from a reputable breeder. Contact me with any questions regarding my experience.

Purchase of my little Pug
Fantastic experience! Quality PEOPLE! Quality pets!
Love, Love, Love, Donna and Eleonora, the owners of this company! The staff is fantastic, the on site Vet Tech was actually more informative and more help to me than my VET!

My little Pug, FooShe is fantastic! Donna and Eleonora were responsive to all my concerns that a new "parent" has. The shop is spotless. Their care and concern for all their pets and the people who buy them is beyond anything anyone could hope for. Example: I was given their cell phone number and told to call them any time no matter what and ??you know what??, I did call them on a Saturday morning, and they were right there to answer my questions.

If you want to rescue a small dog, they have a whole separate facility with dogs waiting for adoption that they rescued themselves. It is called Glimmer of Life.

Good, good, people.
Rescue or Buy from these people, you won't be sorry.

Over the past month, I've been to every pet shop in South Florida in search of the perfect little puppy, and I must say that Teacups is BY FAR the cleanest one I've seen yet! All the puppies had food and clean water, they have heating pads, beds, and soft blankets for flooring. I didn't see any feces in the cages at all. I went to places like Superstar Puppies, Precious Puppies, and even Petland and there was poop all over. Disgusting! At Wizard of Claws you can't even see how the puppies are cared for, they're all kept in a back room, and they brought out this poor Chihuahua for me. I felt so bad for it, it wouldn't even move, it was so afraid it just stood there as stiff as a statue! That was a little weird and I got an eerie feeling in there. Some places even kept their dogs in cages with only the metal grid beneath their tiny little paws and no beds at all. That has to hurt! The staff at Teacups was oddly dressed (a little provocative if you ask me) but once I saw the owner, I clearly understood why... But you can see that they truly do care about the puppies in there. You have to wash your hands before touching them, and kids aren't allowed to hold. I haven't purchased my puppy yet, but I was referred to Teacups by a friend of mine who has 4 dogs from there, and she only has pleasant things to say.

If you have a little one (a four legged little one!) then this is the place to go and pamper them! They have the cutest little collars for your small breed and cute little charms to place on the collars (my favorite!) It also has a large selection of hair accessories such as barettes for your pampered pooch! If you want to spoil your pooch, come here! But be sure to bring lots of money, it isn't inexpensive!
