Dr. Jacinto misdiagnosed my daughter with a stroke 5 years ago when she was a newborn. When he was dicussing his diagnosis he talked to me so rudely. I'm sitting in a conference room crying my eyes out because he said she was going to die and to start making arrangments then he and gets up a leaves me there all alone and distraught. Crappy bedside manner. My husband and I did our research about stookes and brain stems and none matched my daughters symtoms. When we asked him about it he blew if off as nothing. We had our daughter transferred immediatly to All Childrens St.Pete. and to find out that she DID NOT have a stroke and was going to fine!!!! In her discharge papers is said my husband and could not accept her dignosis. Dr Jacinto and Brandon Reginol Hospital should be shut down!!!!!!!

There is seriously something wrong with an office that has so many people waiting at the same time, and you have to wait an hour just to see the doctor, only to be spoken to so rudely. I do not recommend this doctor. The staff is rude also.

I couldn't ask for a better Dr. for my son. He explained everything I needed to know in detail to take care of my son when he has a seizure. Although I am moving & have to find another Dr for my son. I will never forget how he helped my son. Thank you.

If he spoke to my son like I read that he spoke to so many others... I would gut him like a DAMN chicken! Are you kidding me? I love my son to much to put him in front of a heartless bastard like Jacinto.

If you really want to know why the wait is so long and the visits are so short its because your not attractive enough because if you were the visit would last much!!! longer and you would probably leave satisfied. I know from personal experience.

I just came from a visit to Dr. Jacinto. The staff was not the friendliest on the phone but they did smile and were very nice to me . They didn't seem to be bugged by my questions and the Dr. was very nice to my son. He is a little rough but not rude. He is Latin after all so he has a strong personality but nothing that would offend me. Overall I thought the experience was great. I will use his services in the future and yes I had to wait a little but it wasn't hours. I was in and out in hour and half and that's including filling out all the new patient papers and checking out. I was very concerned after reading some of the reviews here but I'm glad I gave him a chance.

I have been seeing Dr. Jacinto since I was 15 years old that's when I had my first seizure. Since my first visit we hit it off, while I was scared out of my mind he calmed me down and explained exactly what was happening to me. I am now 21 and still continue to see him because I don't trust anyone else. All the other doctors I saw were like "mmhmm" or "I see" Doctor J is the complete opposite he will listen to you then take notes later on it. If you lie sports and a doctor with a great sense of humor then this is the man to see!! Whoever says they don't like him are up-tight parents who think there children are perfect the way they are, which in some cases is true but when you have an illness with your head and are scared out of your ever-lovin mind then go see the Dr. Jacinto!

My pediatrician recommended Dr. Jacinto to evaluate my son for ADHD. Like many others have reported the wait was long. When we finally met him he was very brusque and sarcastic, not warm, seemed kind of bored to be honest. He basically accused my son of being a 'slacker" in school. ran a bunch of tests, and told us to see a psychologist and have teachers fill out paperwork. When we went back for the results we saw Courtney (after a 2 hour wait) and she was flat out rude!! The staff is also indifferent and was rude on the phone when I called about an insurance/billing issue. needless to say, i have never been to a physicians practice that was so rude, indifferent and dysfunctional. No bedside manner or people skills whatsoever!! I would not recommend any parent to subject their kids to this guy or his staff.

I took my son to see Dr.Jacinto after he was evaluated by a pediatric psychologist for 2 years and his pediatrician since birth. He had been diagnosed with ADHD and a mood disorder 2 years prior to that. The other physicians were convinced there was some kind of neurological issue going on so the appt was scheduled. I verified with the doctors office that my insurance was accepted on more than one occasion due to the fact that my husband had lost his job and we could not afford any extra bills. They assured me they accepted the insurance and I also gave them the ID numbers. The day of the appt arrived and we waited for 2 hours which is to be expected at a specialists office...when we met Dr.Jacinto he was very terse, he did not smile or even say nice to meet you. I gave him reports from the school so he could see the type of behavior my son exhibited and he read over it for a minute and then told my son that "this is horrible and if you went to my child's school I would have you kicked out"...At that point my son just shut down and I had to do to everything to keep myself from crying! I took my son for an evaluation! We were well aware of his behavior issues and he already felt horrible about it and then for the doctor to make my child feel the way he did was completely UNACCEPTABLE! He told me that my son has no neurological issue and just needs to see a psychiatrist...At that point I informed the school what happened, he did see a psychiatrist...I finally listened to my gut and took him for a 2nd opinion to a fabulous pediatric neurologist that looked at all of the information I provided to her from the school and myself and she was able to provide a diagnosis of Asperger's Syndrome! Every issue my son exhibits is text book Asperger's. I feel if Dr.Jacinto had been a "better physician" for lack of a better term, this could have been addressed with much earlier! My son does not comprehend certain social aspects of things and Dr.Jacinto made me feel like my son just did not care and was a basket-case! I have told many people what happened to us so they do not put their child through this kind of mental abuse. I ended up getting a $500 bill from the office because they informed me I have a "very special" insurance plan and they do not accept it 2 months after the appt. I have mailed and faxed several letters to Dr.Jacinto asking if he could please reduce or waive the price because I had been informed they accepted my insurance on more than one occasion and my husband had lost his job and I have not gotten a response except for more bills from his office....I work for a doctor and in situations like this he always waives the payment when a mistake like that is made by the office staff not doing their job properly.

I have seen Dr Jacinto for 3 years. Last visit I had with him was disapointing. He said that there was nothing wrong with my son. He is not ADHD or Bipolar he just has a bad behavior and he just need to be in a home for that. Meanwhile Dr Jacinto had my son in different medications. That makes you wonder what kind of physician he is... I took my son for a second opinio and he does has ADHD and OCD. He is on medication and teacher notice the difference. So Dr Jacinto is NOT A GOOD Physician to me!!!

when the doctor tells you that your son will not get better and will remain a zombie and that his office cannot do anything for you, its disheartening. After being told what a wonderful and caring doctor he is, but yet for the last several visits has seen my son for a total of maybe 1 minute because he has been seen by the PA, thats not having him for a doctor. He is Brandon's answer to Dr House. Not recommending him and not taking my son back.

We have been seeing Dr. Jacinto for about 5 years now for my son's ADHD. On our first meeting with Dr J, my impression of him was very negative. After wating 2 1/2 hours to see him, he was very curt and almost rude. However, after seeing him this many years I have come to realize that you will always wait a long time to see him and when you do, you need to have your questions written out, etc. because no, he is not going to take a long time with you...he is short and to the point. If you see the PA, you are in good shape, which is most of the time, because she is always on time, very nice, great personality and balances out the practice. The office staff does leave something to be desired, but good help in the medical office world seems to be hard to find these days pretty much everywhere you go.

I took my son for his initial visit & was very disappointed that I waited (along with many other families) in the waiting room for 1 hour and 45 minutes to then be seen primarily by the nurse practitioner before seeing the Dr. for hmm..maybe 15 minutes tops. I had so many more concerns and questions that were not addressed and I felt as if my son's condition wasn't perhaps "serious" enough to warrant more time with the actual physician. I understand that he was behind that day....but that means he's going to stay behind for the rest of his day if he has new patients. You shouldn't play "catch up" on your time with new patients. Returning patients would be more understanding of this..at least I would think so. The NP was great but I believe an initial visit should be handled by the physician. I heard that this was a very good Dr.. so I'm sure he is; however, the apparent lack of respect for my time and concerns was upsetting. I'm rating Satisfactory because I feel like he probably is a good Dr., however, I did leave unsatisfied.

I found Dr. Jacinto to be a very caring and cutting edge physician. He inspired trust in me quickly regarding my son who was diagnosed with PDD. His office staff, sadly, are another matter. They promised to call back with time sensitive information regarding my son. I had to call back multiple times over a four week period then was treated rudely and basically told that the office staff had not even tried to get the information from my son's medical file that I needed for him to continue state-funded speech therapy. When I asked to speak to Dr. Jacinto personally she refused to put him on the phone. I feel that he isn't aware of his staff's improper treatment of his clients. The office appears to be disorganized and untrained in customer service. This is sad because the physician is topnotch but his inadequate offfice staff reflects poorly on them all.

Though my daughter has a rare chromosome disorder which causes most to discount her; Dr. Jacinto has given her chance possible and treats her well. He kept trying different seizure medications for her until finding the right one. She's been seizure free for over 2 years and he gradually weaned her off all the medications . He is always willing to answer questions and returns our phone calls personally within the business day. he has even stopped by to visit Lois while hospitalized when it was something totally unrelated to her seizure/neurologic condition.

I am a nurse and love the fact that he doesn't sugar coat things. I love that he doesn't waste time and pegs the problem head on..and he is honest and intellectual doctor who takes his job seriously and does his job right and for that I am glad we found Dr Jacinto

My son Dallas has been seeing Dr Jacinto for over 11 years. He treats me and my family like his own family. I would recommend Dr Jacinto to anyone. He has done so much for me and my son over the past 11 years and I thank him dearly...

Lacks courtesy and respect and does not treat the patient as he would his own child. Returns calls late (up to 3 days) and makes you feel as if you are bothering him. Waited 2 1/2 hrs to see him, he did not get all the results I needed and was sending me to repeat tests that results had not been faxed to him on. Would never reccomend this doctor, I am very sorry to say. It is sad for the children, they are there because they have a problem and this guy has no people skills, and his office is poorly organized.

When my son had Guillan Barre' Syndrome, he spent two months in the PICU at Tampa General Hospital. His pediatric neurologist was Dr. Sergio Jacinto (who has two office locations, Brandon and Tampa. Dr. Jacinto was very reassuring regarding my son's condition and knew how to make my son feel comfortable even though he was in a life and death situation. If you unfortuantely ever need a pediatric neurologist, look up Dr. Sergio Jacinto. He really cares about children.
