I have been to this pub on several occasions and have found the food, entertenment and decor refreshingly authentic .In response toAnne-louise M.I was born and reared in Belfast and lived there 1969through1977 and got a real taste of what uniformed thugs were capable of and when I look at the decor in the four green fields,I am reminded of the dedication of a few true irishmen that finally brought justice to Northern Ireland.Any irishman should feel honored as a customer in the four green fields. It is the kind of hospitality I have come to love and respect in the good old u.s.a.

In Tampa for a convention, several of us did the crawl of Irish bars. Cute atmosphere and pleasantly surprised to get live music on a Thursday. We had their Potato Leek soup (outstanding!) and split 2 orders of Corned Beef Reubens (enormous and good!) Our favorite place of our 2- evening bar crawl. A short walk from our hotel so we didn't have the parking challenges of other reviewers.

However, being Irish, I found the decor to be a little offensive, and the over use of republican memorabilia almost glamorizes the role of the IRA in the troubles in Northern Ireland and gives people the very wrong idea that they were somehow a force for good, when they most certainly were not.

Authentic Irish bar, good waitstaff, plenty of seating, great pub food. Small dart board area, no pool table... regular Irish beer selection but nothing too exciting. Good live music expecially Sundays. Definitely worth checking out if even for just a drink or two, no cover.

Nestled right in the middle of the SoHo/Hyde Park district- Four Green fields is the ultimate Irish Pub/Restaurant. Serving an assortment of original Irish dishes, and the best Irish beer in Tampa - its a must see place. A very crowded night spot that is often overlooked for having a great lunch menu as well. I made the same mistake until I went there for lunch recently and was superbly impressed with the food and service. If you're in South tampa - check it out!

Four Green Fields is by far the best Irish pub in town, with great beers, good Irish food and live music. The staff and the patrons are friendly and the bar itself is amazing, with white plaster walls and an authentic thatched roof.
Parking is difficult, but worth it.

PROS: Food, beer, and live music at a great price.
CONS: Difficult parking

The thatched roof and cottage-like building make this Irish bar feel more authentic than your run-of-the-mill pub. Inside, you'll find bartenders who all have brogues and scores of customers who are also Irish nationals. Along with that, you'll find plenty of friendly regulars. You can't stop in for a pint and not make a new friend. The menu, stocked with Irish favorites, can be hit or miss, but the potato leek soup and big salads are worth a try. Plus, the bartenders pour the best pint of Guinness in town.
