My parakeet died and I went to this store to maybe get another one though when I looked at them my heart just wasnt in it. I saw the other birds and just -had- to get him. The girl who works there is very friendly and the owner came down to clip his wings. He was very friendly and while he kept adding to the list of stuff I needed I think he just wanted the biurd to be happy, and he was really willing to work with me. Great place, and the birds are obviously well taken care of.

Birds pluck for many reasons. The most important first step in solving the mystery of plucking is to examine your bird's environment. Is the cage large enough? Are you doing things to alleviate boredom? What is the stress level in the home? Is the bird left for many long hours alone? Do you approach the bird in a friendly way or are you possibly harboring thoughts that you wish you had not bought the bird?
Is the diet healthy?
These questions are the ones to be asked. It is not likely that the bird became a plucker because of things someone else did but rather from current conditions.

I used to go in there a lot when the previous owners were there but found out that all wasn't as it seemed.
I liked the little old lady who used to run the store until I found out that she was not honest. I bought an African Grey from her which started plucking and frantic, I asked her if her greys ever plucked and she said no. I then found out from her husband that used to work there with her that a couple of her greys actually had plucked.
I also knew she was trying to sell birds before they were properly weaned which put the birds in danger. I also did a couple of nice things for her and found out later that she didn't appreciate it or care. I quit going to her and resumed business with new owners.
The new owners are very friendly and care about their birds and will work with you to get what you need. I have only had the best of service. I do agree that items are higher than others in the area and perhaps they can become more competitive.

This store used to be a great place to shop until the owner's husband fell ill and she had to sell. Now that there is a new owner the seed price has doubled, they have no idea what they are doing, they are not always open as the hours on the door states, and they have raised the prices on everything so high until I had to find another place to get my bird toys and supplies. We really miss the original Everything Bird and the friendly atmosphere and the never ending wonderful and knowledgeable advice from the sweet little original owner. Hope this helps the new owner to learn more and reevaluate the changes in his store. Walking in to a bird store with country music blasting so you can't even hear the birds is very unpleasant.

This place is so cool whether you're looking to get a bird or not. They have so many different types of birds! From what I can tell their prices are reasonable. The cages are kept very clean and the store always smells good. They have anything you would ever need to take care of a bird and they are really nice and helpful. I love going here!

Message from Everything Bird Pet Store

As a life-long admirer of birds and other animals, I established Everything Bird in 2005 to share my passion with the community. Because I and the rest of my team at Everything Bird are so passionate about animals, we want to make sure you can find and afford everything for your pet at our store. That's why we always maintain a large inventory and try to meet or beat anyone's prices for exotic pets, feed, and pet accessories. We also treat every animal that comes into our shop like one our own children.
