I no longer use the services at Royal Oaks Vet Hospital as they provided me with false information with regards to the promotional offer when I opened up my Care Credit account to pay for my dog's surgery. I was initially informed by Diana, who works at the front desk of Royal Oaks, that my promotional offer would be 0% interest if the loan was paid in full within 60 months. It turned out that the promotional offer was only good for 6 months, which meant that I had to pay a much higher amount each month to avoid interest, which was not in my budget to do so at the time and why I decided to use the 60-month interest free promotional offer with Care Credit in the first place. The difference in the promotional offer period was only disclosed to me when I received my first statement from Care Credit.

As a result, I contacted Care Credit asking them to honor to 60-month interest free promotion which was told to me by Diana and which I duly noted on the receipt Diana gave me to sign. However, Care Credit refused to help me because they said the promotional offers are assigned by the vet hospital and not by Care Credit themselves, which meant that I had to deal directly with Dr. Dwyer to rectify this matter.

In my conversation with Dr. Dwyer, she refused to honor the 60-month interest free promotional offer which was told to me by Diana, one of her staff members. Dr. Dwyer insisted that the issue was Care Credit's matter to resolve when Care Credit advised me numerous times that it was not and only the vet hospital can assign such offers.

Dr. Dwyer then turned it around and acted like she was the victim in this case because of the money she has to provide to Care Credit for offering their financial services at her vet hospital as she has to pay Care Credit a flat amount for each account that is opened by one of her customers, as well as a certain amount for each promotion that is offered.

Frankly, Dr. Dwyer's fiduciary responsibility to Care Credit for the financial services they provide to her clients has no relevance in the matter as that is the cost of her doing business which she must be responsible for absorbing. Dr. Dwyer failed to recognize that it was me, the customer, who was ultimately stuck with the bill and now needed to find a means to pay well over $3,000.00 in medical costs for my dog in 6 months or less to avoid having to pay astronomically high interest rates.

I was very disappointed with the way Dr. Dwyer failed to take responsibility for a mistake which was made by one of her staff members and then she acted like the victim in the situation complaining about how much money she had to give out to Care Credit. She had complete apathy towards me as one of her customers as she was not willing to work on a compromise to ameliorate the situation by helping me to find another payment plan which would be reasonably feasible for me. To add insult to injury, I received a condescending letter from the office manager, Yahaira, which basically stated that they were absolved of any responsibility for what had happened despite the fact they it was one of Dr. Dwyer's staff members, Diana, who misinformed me of the length of time the promotion would be valid.

Overall, the lack of concern to work with me on another payment plan whereby I could pay Dr. Dwyer directly, or something else which was more reasonable than having to pay the full balance within 6 months and not taking responsibility for misinformation which was given to me by one of her staff members showed how little Dr. Dwyer cares about her customers. It just seemed like Dr. Dwyer cared more about the money than trying to do the right thing for a mistake which her staff member created in the first place. Needless to say, I lost all trust and faith in them to care for my pets.

Royal Oaks Veterinary Clinic is the place to go for the highest quality of care for your pets. Dr. Dwyer and her team always give my cats the care and kindness they would give their own pets. My 14 year old cat, Belle, was on her

We have 5 beagles and one tabby cat and have been going to Dr. Dwyer since 1999. Recently our oldest beagle (13) fell ill. Due to timing, we rushed her down the street to another local vet, who did an ultrasound and immediately diagnosed

I wrote a review for google but wanted to write a review here too. My dog, Penny, is alive today because of the doctors at Royal Oaks. I took her to 2 other clinics in the area and they couldn't help me. Sure, one was very cheap but did nothing to find out what was wrong. The second wasn't cheap at all but still didn't bother to test my dog for thyroid problems. Dr. Dwyer was the only one to listen and did a really thorough exam on Penny. I had my answer within a week and I have my best friend back. I am very grateful.

I took my dog to this veterinarian because my friends who go there raved about her. She is smart, has a light side, and works hard to find the answer. I went to a vet close by who was much cheaper, but completely missed the cause of my dog's skin problem. Boy, did I get what I paid for "zero"- My dog was scratching like crazy. The vet, he told me it was fleas and to shampoo my dog and gave my dog an shot of cortisone. Well, the itching got worse, then my son started itching. It turned out my dog had mange which is highly contagious to humans. Dr Dwyer figured this out by looking at where my dog was scratching, then took something called a skin scraping, and showed my the mites under the microscope. She spent over 30 minutes answering my questions, and addressing my worries about my son. Did it cost money-sure, and I didn't expect any guarantees-how could I?- But the care and sevrice was worth more than what I piad and got from the vet up the road. This is science, and I respect that she made a real effort trying to solve my pets problem, didn't just come in, hardly look, and give it an injection. That was a complete waste of my money-not every problem is solved- I was so happy that I took my friends to outback as a way of thanking them for sending me her way-I would refer anyone there-I respect her efforts to make my dog comfie and keep him healthy-I wouldn't go anywhere else-I've owned over 6 dogs, and she ranks up there with my previous vets. when I was living up north.

Dr,Dwyer is the most loving and caring veternarian I have ever taken my pets to. I have 3 pets and 2 of them have health issues. Dr,Dwyer is a life saver, she saved my little KoKo's life. She is not just a loving Vet but she is awesome when it comes to diagnosing health issues. She is like a guardian angel sent to take care of pets. I will not go to any other veternarian.

I was shocked to see any negative review about this hospital. I agree that this clinic isn't the cheapest in the area; but, you get what you pay for. Dr. Dwyer is thorough and makes sure I am completely educated about my pet's health. She always gives me options and never makes me feel bad if I can't do everything she recommends. She works with me and always gets my pets better. Her staff is also wonderful and caring. She is a gift to the veterinary profession.

We have 3 dogs and had just relocated to Florida when we found Dr. Dwyer. She is smart, loves animals and works with us any way she can. One of our dogs had been on a steroid based medication for many months and Dr. Dwyer suggested we test for a bladder infection. The test revealed a raging infection that had already started to affect her kidneys! Fortunately, after a couple rounds of antibiotics she's doing great. Dr. Dwyer also suggested a food trial because we've been fighting allergies with this dog for years -- the food and a new non-steroidal medicine has made her a whole new dog! We love Royal Oaks and the whole staff. It's such a comfort to be able to trust them with all of our furry babies!
