After reading the previous reviews I was somewhat afraid to try this place! However it was 1 block from my hotel and the price was great! I was met w/ good customer service! The ONLY bad thing was that I got a bikini wax (which was painless and I was a 1st timer!) and they did not give me a cover-up, that was uncomfortable to say the lease. Other than that I had a pleasent experience. Fast service and reasonable price! I recommend this place! Also it was NOT dirty at all! I must have went on a good day or these other people expect too much for the cheapest price in town! Try it, it's not bad as these people make it out to be!

im from nyc and travelled to miami over the weekend...i didnt have a chance to get beauty treatments before the trip so i decided to book an appt at this place..and OMG LOVED IT! wax and nails were perfection. i just wish people in nyc would take their time with their service just like the wonderful people at this place...will def go again when i go back to miami! thank you for an amazing treatment.

I live in Miami and i am not exagerating i tried maybe 10 different places all over the Dade County... And by far the best is SOUTH BEACH Body waxing.. not only the prices are great (about the lowest at the same level of service) but the people there are so nice. I actually just called and made a last minute appointment and they were willing to help me out! (since im going on and unexpected trip). I have seen maybe 3 ladies from there and they have all been awesome..
i wont lie it does hurt a bit,... but its sooo quick!

anyhow i will be there today AGAIN... :)

I got underarm, eyebrow, upper lip, 1/2 leg, and brazilian. I have been to many wax places and they are fast and cheap here. They use cold wax for sensitive skin (lip, under arm, eyebrow, brazilian). cold wax is supreme. I think she got every hair too. Roxana was my favorite. Not the best ambiance. It is a bit of a wax factory. Small waxing rooms, but that didn't bother me. Professional staff. Never felt uncomfortable about getting my unmentionable fully waxed. I also got a couple of mani/pedi's here. They did a great job, but it was very time consuming. And they don't have the fancy massage chairs for your pedicures.

Pros: quick, cheap, efficient, and skilled

Cons: Not the fanciest of atmospheres.

I don't understand how this place got any good reviews. I went to their South Beach store. As i walked in to get serviced, I noticed waxing room was filthy. That could have been ok, if the service was good, but got my back and chest waxed, and they burn my skin and hurt as much as the korean place I go In NY. I've heard a lot about waxing in South Florida, not impressed.

I've been waxed in San Diego, San Francisco, Denver, Chicago, and a few places in between. Sometimes it's supposed to be a "spa" sort of pampering experience, but getting hair ripped from one's neck, back, and shoulders is not exactly relaxing. Evelina, who did my waxing, said, "Well, we all have to suffer for beauty."

Except she didn't make me suffer. It was quick, efficient, professional, measured, symmetric, and as painless as possible. Most notably, they have a hard wax used without strips that was used for the more tender areas. (I'm speaking of my neck but am told it is also used for Brazilian/groin waxing.)

It wasn't hoity-toity or pretentious. It was clean, tidy, and relaxing, and all of this was underscored by competence. (Because they only do waxing, and waxing of literally every part of the body from hairy toes to taints to temples, I didn't feel as if I were reinventing the wheel when I made requests.)

Regarding the ambience, each little suite/alcove has a little sliding door, and a half dozen estheticians are working at any given moment. When you phone, they'll ask if you have a preference, but I'm guessing everyone is just fine.

If only I they had one where I lived. Would love to bring my girlfriend, too.

I HAVE COME FROM SPAIN, AND I HAVE WAXED HERE IN MIAMI IN SEVERAL PLACES, I NEED TO TELL EVERYONE THAT I AM VERY PICKY AND I HAVE TRIED OTHER WAXING PLACES AND I WAS NOT IMPRESSED.

BUT I HAVE FOUND SOUTH BEACH BODY WAXING.I DECIDED TO TRY THEM. WHAT A DIFFRENCE THEY ARE TRULEY THE BEST I HAVE FOUND IN MIAMI .

RECEPTIONIST VERY NICE AND THE PROFFESIONAL LADIES ARE VERY HYGENIC AND I DID NOT FEEL PAIN WHEN WAXING.. MOST IMPORTANT THE PLACE IS VERY CLEAN, I ALSO HAD TIME TO DO MY NAILS WHICH I LOVED IT WAS RELAXING I FELT LIKE I WAS IN BALI IT WAS SO SOOTHING ENVIROMENT. VERY EUROPEAN.

I AM LUCKY I FOUND SUCH A GREAT PLACE .

I would like to add one more thing to the lady who "claims" that her phone was stolen...I am a law student and I happen to know that your posting where you allege that Adriana "stole" your phone is actually Defamation (In law, defamation is the communication of a statement that makes a false claim, expressly stated or implied to be factual, that may harm the reputation of an individual, business, product, group, government or nation) and the only defense would be truth but you obviously cannot prove that...You should probably think about that next time.

The name is Roya, I live in NY and every time I come down on vacation I go and get waxed at SBBW. The girls there are amazing and they make me feel at home. My waxer Adriana is one of the best out there. She does a great job! =) ?.reading the comment below about the cell phone situation made me a bit unhappy, you cannot blame anyone else for being forgetful. If that cell phone really meant that much to you should?ve put it in your purse or pocket. Regardless, the girls there are not thieves. I have left my shades before and came back for them after? they held it for me at the front desk. Anyhoo? the service is absolutely WONDERFUL!!!! I wouldn?t have it any other way. The receptionists are such great girls and always greet everyone with a smile. So my advice to the cell phone girl, don?t write things that are UNTRUE just because you loosing your phone made you UNHAPPY, no need to lie or degrade others.

I HAVE BEEN COMING TO BODY WAXING CO.. FOR FIVE YEARS, I WORK WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND I CAN TELL YOU THAT THIS IS THE CLEANEST PLACE !!! I GO TO LOTS OF SALONS AND I HIGHLY RECCOMEND THIS PLACE TO EVERY ONE... THANKS GIRLS FOR ALWAYS KEEPING ME HAIR FREE!!!! it was my first time there on a sat. i agree with the other review that the receptionist was extremely rude!! my waxer, adriana, didn't wax off everything. There was more hair left down there than she waxed off! she didn't even bother to tweeze. i ended up waxing the rest of it myself. im asian and she asked me if i spoke spanish. i learned to but didn't feel like speaking it at the moment. while waxing me, she projected to the other employees in spanish about ME in bad terms!!
Not as cheap as you think b/c there are several other waxing places in the area that charge the same price. Reused dipping sticks!! (transmits bacteria into wax to next person)

the story about the cell phone goes as follows:
-i took out my BRAND NEW, 18 DAY OLD, $300 CELL PHONE to turn it on silent and placed it on the bed
-i was the ABSOLUTE LAST CLIENT and they were closing
-i was 2 dollars short and the receptionist told me to "never come back"
-felt incredibly embarrassed so i rushed home to get more money
-i realized i forgot my cell on the parchment paper on the waxing bed
-ended up paying MORE ($22) than what i should have because although i asked for a "brazilian" ($10 for first time clients), they charged me $14 b/c "this wax was different from a brazilian"
-brazilian = waxing the private parts correct?? that is what i received!
-looked for cell. it was gone.
-called cell, it was TURNED OFF. so obviously my waxer found it and turned it off
-since i was the last client, no one but the employees would have stolen it
-it was sitting on parchment paper so the phone must have been moved to clean the paper off the bed, correct?
-asked them to take down my info...DIDNT ask for my NAME, DIDNT ask for details on the phone (ie-color, model, etc)
-came back two days later to follow-up...another receptionist, again RUDE
-claimed they had not seen a note regarding a cell phone
-asked them to take down my info again. she wrote it on the back of a junk mail envelope.

Pros: near sunset place. next to nail shop.

Cons: tiny parking lot, dishonest, rude, reuses dipping sticks(can get STDs this way)

Due to my job i am costantly traveling all over the world, and living in Brazil many years I have experienced excellent waxing. But when I came for business to Miami I decided to try South Beach Body Waxing and let me tell you!! They are Truley Professional and extremely hygenic!! Shirley the front desk person was very polite and friendly. Although i did not have an appointment she got me in. I was IMPRESSED !!! PAINLESS WAXING !! they truley left me hair free.

I usually dont review things online, but since the reason I chose to go to SBBW was the other good user reviews, I decided I should add my 2 cents. I was not impressed with anything at SBBW. The Saturday receptionist was extremely rude and unfriendly. Personally, I think that is the last thing you need when youre about to bear your privates to a stranger. The bikini wax I had was not great either. I must say it was not all that painful, but it was also far from thorough. 1) I still have hair left that I will have to remove myself. 2) She did not trim the remaining hair at all. 3) She did not use any lotion, cream, gel to prevent irritation. i just think that these are simple things that you should offer when the name of your salon implies that you specialize in the city's body waxing. The price seemed reasonable, but you get what you pay for (if even).

SB Body Waxing ( South Miami location ) is the best in town. I've been waxing for years and I've always tredded the experience until I met MONICA...she rocks! The pain is minimal and what normally takes others at least 1 hour for full legs and bikini, it takes her 30 min. She's amazing! The staff is pleasant, especially the owner, Sandy. Appointments are easy to come by. Reasonably priced and great service!

I reccomend bwc to everyone i am always in a hurry and they take care of my needs quickly . There wax is the best and service there prices are excellent and i must say that i feel no pain with there waxers there all trained in a special way which makes it painless. they get my thumbs up
