My daughter recommended Split Endz to me and I drive over a 100 miles to have Steven cut and style my hair. It is worth every mile! The best ever! I would highly recommend this shop to anyone!

They are so very kind and welcoming. The people who work at Spit Endz are kind of like a family. I have received so many complements from so many people on my hair. It is the prefect style for my face. I LOVE IT!!!\r
I feel beautiful.

I got a pretty good haircut here but I it wasn't the best customer service. When I arrived no one greeted me. There were people at the front desk but they were too busy gossiping to find out why I was there or even show me where to go.

I can't speak for all of the stylists at this salon but I had been a three-year customer until a recent incident -1 that completely turned me off to both my former stylist & owners.

Elaine Quinones is a decent stylist (but, thx to this experience I found an excellent one at Christopher Anthony Salon in Dr. Phillips, Celyne Donadi). She tends to get set in her ways and is hard to push into trying new styles/cuts, even at the customer's request. She did convince me to try a new hair color 1.5 years ago that requires much more upkeep (color refresh every three weeks) than my prior color. I went with the idea b/c she offered a discount as the color was high maintenance (in terms of cost & time).

In the past 6 months, however, her customer service has really declined. She would "squeeze" me in (remember, this was HER idea) but while she was working on another client or that appointment would run late. My appointments grew from 1.5 hours to 2.5 hours in length & sometimes 3.5 hours for the full bleach/foil process. I always asked her to let me know when she was running late so I could choose to reschedule; yet unless I checked in with her, I wouldn't find out til I made the lengthy drive to the salon. I dealt with this for a while as she was charging me a good price. The last straw was this weekend's appointment (she stressed that it was a very busy day and I needed to let her know asap if I couldn't make it). As I'm almost at the shop, I receive a text she's running late. I had to text her twice to find out how long I was to wait. When I heard it would be 15 minutes, I went across the street to kill time shopping. As I was starting the car to make my way to the salon, I got another text wondering why I wasn't at the salon and was I still coming. I chose to answer her in person but when I walked into the salon, I got hit with a barage of accusatory questions: "Where WERE you?" in a loud voice in front of other customers. I explained that I went across the street to kill some time (as I've done in the past when I'd find out she was running late-she actually suggested it) as I don't like to waste time sitting when I can accomplishing something. She seemed very put off by that so I reminded her that she was the late one & that I'd put up with similar behavior over the past six months. She interjected she always works me in, but I replied that my appointments are longer now, that she's always working on multiple clients at the same time, delaying my appointment, & that she has a hard time focusing on a single client (she constantly stops coloring/cutting to respond to texts or puts me under the dryer for an extended timeframe so she can finish a conversation with a "friend" sitting in the chair next to hers. After my comments, she said "I'm not doing your hair today". I was blown away at the gall of her canceling our appointment while already there in the shop, after she was late for our appointment (she was busy coordinating for a hair show). She commented how she did me the favor of cutting me a price break, but I argued that her treatment of me wasn't worth it.

I asked to speak to the salon owner but her response was that she didn't have a boss. I called both owners by a directory that was posted at the receptionist's desk. Neither Steven nor Cynthia have returned my calls. Apparently, they're not concerned enough with the salon's image or how their staff (boss or not) treat clients who visit their salon. Ironically, these are the same people who've never said boo in the 3 years I've gone to their shop, only to recognize me at my place of business and try to ask for an upgrade based on who they were. I couldn't accomodate them but it was interesting how much interest they took in learning my name and talking with me then (and only then!).

There are much better salons/stylists out there where owners actually care about how clients are treated. Don't waste your $ or your time for such unprofessionalism!

Pros: Good color

Cons: Long wait, bad attitudes, disregard for clients' time

The salon is was abuzz with customers when I arrived, but I was greeted by friendly staff who guided me to Cynthia. She gave me a consultation and took a look at the picture I brought for my cut and gave me a few suggestions to make it suit my face shape better, Then she also mentioned that a gloss would make my hair shinier without adding color, which sounded good to me as it was looking a little dull. She put the gloss on and put me under a dryer to let it soak in then she cut my hair quickly and looked confident knowing what she was doing (which put me at ease). After a rinse and blowdry I walked out with a really gorgeous head of hair (which received lots of praise from co-workers). The last thing is that it didn't put a huge dent in my pocket which is the best of all! I will be coming in again soon!
