Military UNFRIENDLY - http://www.gatorland.com/blogs/specials - is the location as of 02/03/2011 - they do NOT honor the military coupon posted to their own website. The coupon is out of date (june 2010 expiration). Even so, this is unacceptable. This website MUST be updated for those who make the 16 hour drive especially to see their facility. We even called to confirm before embarking on this vacation. When we arrived. They apparently have changed the pricing. We failed to get the name of the person we talked to, thus no one could help when we arrived onsite. When a coupon is posted to a business public website. First Take the coupon down when its not in use any more! Secondly even if the public makes a mistake, provisions should at least be made for a good review. The management and staff didn't even make an effort. Which is why we are leaving this review as "terrible". Your at your own risk when trying to plan and plot out this trip. At least we suggest have a backup in place when you attempt to visit them. You will need it.

Gatorland is a long-time "tourist attraction" that should be seen by everyone--visitors and residents alike. They not only exhibit alligators and other animals, but they provide a lot of education about them and their native habitats.

Because they actually "farm" alligators, visitors can see gators from birth to full-grown, including photos of some sizeable record-holders. The Godwin family did Central Florida a great service with this venue, and it's a good place to see alligators up close and, if you're so inclined, to even taste gator meat or buy a gator souvenir (handbag or briefcase).

Prices are reasonable for the entertainment they provide. Convenient, accessible location with a fun gift shop and plenty of parking.

PROS: Educational, interesting, amazing
CONS:

This isn't your regular amusement park, there is no rides but lots of fun. Great place to see gators up close. My kids always have fun at Gatorland. They love the kids splash area, which is nice to cool off in the summer heat. They have a small petting zoo. The shows are fun. The annual pass is affordable. There are some neat things in the gift shop. Go early in the summer, it gets very hot during the day.

I went to Gatorland about 7 years ago when I first got married. We were bored one day and my sister was here visiting from canada and she wanted to see some gators. We had fun because it was a goofy day and the gators were fun to watch. I guess it could get a bit scary for kids, but mayber not. I'll try taking my girls there one day and see. It's a cute little place for when you have nothing to do. But make sure you go on a cooler day!

This is the best place to take out-of-town guests to give them a feel of old time Florida. And believe me, you can easily spend a whole day there. The kids absolutely love it. Looking at real gators really opens there eyes to the wonder of nature. We just never get there as much as we should. Highly recommend Gatorland as an original place to visit.

Gatorland is a great place for Family's my 10 year old son had so much fun feeding the alligators. He thought that it was the coolest. He also liked the bird room where he was able to get a bird to land on his hand. I got some great pictures.

PROS: The prices are GREAT

This place was so amazing. Gives you an entirely different perspective on these land/water dwelling animals. Shocked me to find out they're even farmed as a food source. Watching them "jump" for food was great. Walking around and seeing them in what appears to be the wild was awesome and made you feel like they could eat you. You see all the levels of growth. Don't miss this place it is fun. Be sure to take a picture with a live aligator, we get lots of comments about our "shirt picture".

PROS: Unique and information. Who would've thought even a food source.
CONS: Kinda far out, you really need a car cause cab fare is ridiculous.

We were pleasantly surprised by this attraction on our recent trip to Orlando. The kids loved the fact that you entered through a giant alligator mouth. The shows were entertaining and ran frequently enough. We also liked that they frequently rescue alligators that would otherwise be killed for invading residential areas. It's a nice attraction if you have a couple of hours free from visiting some of the areas larger attractions.

My husband and I have annual passes to Gatorland. This is a great place to go with fmily or friends. We try to go twice a month, if only to walk through their nature trail (through the swamp) They allow you to fee the gators, and these tiny beautiful birds with nectar. They are in the process of building a childrens play place also. They have many animal attractions including Judy the Bear (we love her). So don't miss out on this original Florida attraction.

PROS: Great Family Fun
CONS: Gets a little hot in the Summer time

This is no amusement park, no rides inside. But it IS part of the perfect Florida vacation. You have not been to Florida until you go to Gatorland. I have never been to a place like it. It is all about aligators, dozens of em. They even do shows with them like "Gator Jumping." You can find out so much stuff about aligators here. And you can actually try some aligator meat! Where have you ever done that? I know I havent. It comes in aligator ribs or aligator nuggets, try em both. Its a weird taste, but meat is meat I RWALLY REALLY recommend it.

This is a good place for those who like reptiles. Me, personally I rather see fuzzy animals. But if you buy one ticket you get to go back for the rest of the year. So its a great place. Then, of course you see gators everywhere and you also have the option of paying for $5.00 hotdogs to them if you wish to waste your money

PROS: Good Price
CONS: Just not the greatest place

Gatorland is very fun. There are all kinds of animals there not just alligators. They have lots of shows to attend. It doesn't cost much to go there. You can even hold and get your pictures taking with a baby alligator. They have a great gift shop with all kinds of suviners.

What could be more fun than walking into the wide open mouth of a gator? Why of course feeding them! And you can do that here too! We even got to hold a baby. If you like adventure then you have to see this place they have hundreds of gators and more.

A family place to go while in Orlando. It is something different from all the disney places you can see. The shows here are great and a lot fun. Feed a gator even! The kids really love it because your upclose to the animals, but in a safe environment. The train ride they offer is not really worth the money you spend. It does takes you around the back of the park, but the staged dummies and a skeleton of an alligator are something that may impress the kids. It's a nice way to relax during the day after walking around even a good way to end the day full of adventure here at Gatorland.

Gatorland is a cool place, because you kind of take a step-back into old Florida, before the lands were all developed. Seeing the gators in a semi-natural habitat was interesting for the whole family. they also have wrestling shows which are entertaining and thrilling. Prices are moderate, but a fair value.

PROS:
CONS: moderate pricing

IT's not often you find a world-class park for gators, but here it is. Thousands of gators in their natural setting. And many other animals as well. Some call it tacky, but it's unlikely you'll find a better showcase for these animals than here. Don't miss the feedings.

PROS: Great gators, and plenty of them
CONS: Hot in the summer
