Over Priced

by Robin L.

I went to Loaves and Fishes for the first time 2 weeks ago. I will not return. The prices are higher than Walmart. I will just keep going to goodwill they have special sales everyday. Loaves and Fishes... go to other Thrifts and see for yourself how over priced you..

Probably the best in P'cola

by Brent N.

Loaves and Fishes understands that the main purpose of a thrift store is to provide inexpensive goods for people without much money. Hence the concept, "thrift". Prices are low, and one need only ask if a price can be lowered if one feels it's too high. This may all seem very basic, but so many other thrift stores in Pensacola have high prices and try to compete with retail stores. Consequently, a poor family must either beg for charity from those stores or have enough money to afford $500 dining tables. But Loaves and Fishes seems to remember that serving the poor by enabling them to be self-sufficient, while not insulting their dignity by forcing them to beg, is the real mission of a thrift store. And in addition, Loaves use any profits to feed the homeless of Pensacola. It's really a great store.

PROS: Low prices, good inventory turnover.
CONS: Sometimes the Christian rock they like to play can be annoying. : )

One of the better places to go thrifting at. I like going here once every 2 weeks after I visit the retail thrift places (goodwill, salvation army etc). They have some really interesting finds. Ive found some pretty rare chinaware sometimes. If you like to go yard sale / thrifting then this is a good place to check out.

PROS: Good prices.
CONS: Like other thrift stores everything is spreaded out. Not by category really
