Went to the Pollo Tropical on SW 152nd St and 117th Ave. Once I placed my order, I pulled up to the drive through window to be greeted by a young girl who was very rude. She was skinny latin girl with black hair and long pink nails (somethihng that I remembered). After I received my food, I asked for salsa on the side and she rolled her eyes. I said "thank you" twice and olny got a dirty look in response. My wife even responded to how rude this little girl was. If she was having a bad day or doesn't like her minimum wage job, she should go elsewhere. You guys over there need to get it together. The food is great but the service is horrible!
Very good. Love the sweet plantains and their new tostones are very good. Their service is fast and the food is delicious.
Pros: Fast, wholesome food.
Cons: It gets crowded at lunch peak hour.
The cashier could not speak english.the workers need to enroll in english &customer service courses.
I was born and raised in Miami, and then moved to Atlanta. I came back to Miami on a vacation and went to a Pollo Tropical on SW 152 St (Coral Reef). I came to the counter to order a leg quarter meal with rice and beans. The cashier could not speak English so the manager had to complete my order. I got the food and the chicken was not perfectly marinated or cooked enough to enjoy it. The regional managers or managers need to encourage their workers to enroll in English and customer service courses to understand on how to serve a customer better.
Pros: The menu selection is good
Cons: Some Cashiers need customer service/english training
Pollo Tropical USED to be super-what happened? The food doesn't have the same quality it did a year ago. And the service-forget it! Someone needs to give some classes on manners here. Let's hope they decide to do something & go back to being a great lunchspot.
Cons: poor service, not tasty
by far the best tasting chicken and side dishes outside of little havana, for fast food.
Pros: quality, speed, price
Great food, great prices. The sweet plantains are incredible! I eat them with the Chicken Tropic Chops and a mango smoothie... Delicious.
Pros: Great food, Fast service
Cons: Crowded at lunch time
It is a good restaurant, love to eat there and it is inexpensive
Pros: good food, not expensive
Food is Great but the service is average, Tasty fast food and not expensive, a great alternative for those willing to try something different, the service is not the best nor the worst, but it could be better.
Pros: The Whole Menu
SO FAR I HAVE FOUND IT TO BE VERY TASTY, JUICY, AND "DELICIOSO"[SP[?..., IN OTHER WORDS, "MUCHO BUENO"....GOOD TO THE LAST BITE!!!...SOUNDS FAMILIAR, EH!!
Pros: TASTY, GOOD PORTIONS
Cons: MUSIC, TOO LOUD, AT TIMES
When I lived in Miami, this was my fav fast food restaurant to go to on my lunch break. It was fast and it tasted excellent! They marinade the chicken in this tropical spice marinade, butterfly it and grill it. I always ordered the Black Beans and rice as a side dish because this was a healthy choice and it tasted sooo good!
Pros: taste/flavor, healthy, fast
Cons: little more expensive
Pollo Tropical is great for a quick fix--whether to feed myself or last minute guests. Can never go wrong with Pollo Tropical.
Pros: High Value, Very Tasty, Variety
Cons: Limited parking
simply the best!!!. Good prices, makes a full dinner meal, everyone in the family is happy!
Pollo Tropical remember me the food that my grandma made for us in Cuba
Good food quick, however not good for eating and driving.....so the drive thru is not great for travelling only for convienent pickup.
Well, it's not such a bad place seeing that it is very much affordable, it has drive-tru and good service. However, maybe its just me, is the food a little bit tasteless and dry? Sometimes it looks like the chicken has gone to battle, took a scroll in hell, plunged in a swamp and got a bad tan. Or maybe its just me, who knows.
