Butterfly World

This is a wonderful place to visit - it is like stepping into heaven with the birds and the butterflies and the classical music playing. It is peaceful and soothing. But the price is obscene and makes it something we can only afford to do every few years. It's a shame. I feel if they would lower their prices, they would do better business because more people would come and come more often.

This place is amazing. Their butterfly garden is the best I've seen. They have tons of different types of butterflies and hummingbirds. The setting is beautiful... lots of flowers to keep the butterflies where you can see them. Their staff is very knowledgable. I love that they have benches throughout the area to relax and watch all of the different types of butterflies. They'll even land on you. Wonderful.

This could be torture actually! I hated it, you have to pay an entrance fee to look at the same colorful creatures you can see for FREE in the comfort of your own backyard, it's usually really hot outside and I couldn't find a drink or even a shady place to relax for a little while. I really don't think kids nowadays would find butterflies all that exciting since you see them all the time, maybe if it was a zoo with rare animals that you wouldn't find anywhere eles...but butterflies?? It gets really boring after a while, it's a waste of time and money.This place would be better if they added some more fun to it, like turned in into a water park or games or something eles to it so there would be more to do and more people would go. the gift shop is too expensive also, you're better off buying your kids a net so they can catch there own lol

Wow I'm shocked that they would charge so much just to look at butterflies...you can see butterflies for free anywhere you go so why would you pay to look at them? It's a nice place and I'll admit it's beautiful to see all those pretty butterflies around you but really not worth the money, kids really didnt enjoy it that much either since there was really nothing fun or interactive to do just look for a few minuets then leave.

the staff is wonderful and the screened in section that the butterflies are in so neat. The butterflies will fly right by you or land on a tree or plant you are standing near. the information that is given is great for children. The gift shop had nice things to buy even for aduts. It is really a fun day.

Imo, it's too much $$ for what you get,but it's really cute! The kids get to walk around with butterfly's all around them..some will even come and sit on you're fingers..it's a great palce to take pictures..I was just surprised that there really is no good food..just a few vending stands. It's worth seeing at least once, you won't be bored..but the whole tour is pretty short, you can get through it with no kids in about 15 minutes..with kids a good hour. oh and sometimes the local parenting mags have coupons

Butterfly world is such a beautiful place. Not only is it a great place to walk around and take in the sights it is very educational too. We have annual passes and go in the afternoon when my son gets out of preschool. He loves it more and more each time we go. The butterflies in there natural surrondings and all of the foliage is wounderful. They have small birds too. We love to go in and try to find them in the trees. We make a game of how many we can find. Then we go over and fee the Lauries. They are a bit loud but will come up to you and drink the nectur from a cup. It is a great photo opportunity.

My grandkids love Butterfly world and can't seem to get enough..Reach out an a rare little creature will land on your hand or even your head..

It's a small place, easy to see in just a few hours. The grounds are kept up beautifully with exotic plants from all over the world.

A special exhibit with creepy crawlers awaits also with giant bugs and spiders..I usually bypass this exhibit but the kids love it

No place to eat should you be hungry except for a few snacks in vending machines..The prices are bit high but coupons can be found in the newspapers and some tourist periodicals

CONS: Ridiculously overpriced

Its a nice place and pretty. You see butterflies that you have never seen. But the price is very high I think. If they had coupons out that were worth the ride and gas to get there I would go again. But Its just to expensive to go again... Dont get me wrong it is beatiful, but just to expensive.
