Barney's Steak & Seafood

I went to Barney's bringing about 20 people from work for a private dinner. The front where the bar is located reminds me of an old speak easy where people gather for a drink and smoke. Of course, smoking is not allowed in Florida restaurants anymore, but the dark wood everywhere still reminds you of those days.

The food is pretty good. Some people complain about the prices, but I was able to secure a 4 course dinner for between $28-$32 per plate which isn't bad considering you get an appetizer, salad, main course and dinner for that.

The banana cream pie is their specialty and it does not disappoint, yummy!

The service was excellent, the servers were very attentive without being annoying. Overall, a very pleasant experience and everyone who came agreed.

PROS: Good food, good pricing
CONS: None, maybe ambiance if you don't like dark wood everywhere.

HAVE LIVED IN ORLANDO MOST OF LIFE AND THIS RESTAURANT IS A LANDMARK THAT ORLANDO SHOULD SUPPORT IN THE CITY OF CHAINS...NOT MANY LEFT LIKE THIS ONE! PIANO MUSIC AND PERSONAL SERVICE WITH PEOPLE THAT CARE...
we always enjoy it and hope that it stays around for a long time.

I'm not sure what everyone else is talking about here, but I just went to Barney's yesterday for the first time based on what I read on this site...I would much rather have gone to an Olive Garden or Chili's...and it would've cost me a heck of a lot less, too. I tried the filet mignon...and while it was decent, it just wasn't worth the price I paid. I could've made one just as good myself at home. My girlfriend tried the salmon which was also mediocre. I wouldn't recommend this place...maybe I would if it was half the price. I know I definitely won't be coming back.

This restaurant is awesome. if I could give it 10 stars I would! I totally agree with the first reviewer-the filet mignon is to die for! The banana cream pie is also amazing, but try the toffee cheesecake too! Yum! It is pricey, but most steak lovers will agree-sometimes you do have to pay a little more for a delicous steak! Well worth it!

wnet there to try it out allway's heard it was good.so we went i must say the food and service are verry good but a little on the high side.i guess if you want to splurche every now and then go for it.

This restaurant has been around for many years and is one of my favorite places to dine. The food is delicious, especially the mouth watering tender filet mignon. Their salad bar offers a great variety of salads You must leave room for dessert and try their famous banana cream pie. I enjoy the ambience this restaurant offers with the piano music adding such a romantic touch. You can retreat to the Atrium for an after dinner drink or come early and wait in there while waiting for your table. Reservations are recommended. We have gone without one with about a 30 minute wait.

PROS: Excellent steaks and a fine dining experience.
CONS: Their prices have gone up.
