My husband and I recently purchased a used car from Mullinax Ford in Apopka. Rather than being excited over our purchase, we both left frustrated and disappointed. We were not upset over the deal, but as a result of our dealings with the salesperson, Alan. When we started to questions some of the details of the purchase, he got very defensive and nearly rude. In hindsight, we both felt like we should have walked away due to his attitude.

We have used Mullinax Ford many times in the past to service other cars, and have never had a problem.

However, in Central Florida there are tons of choices for dealerships and used or new cars. No one should ever leave feeling poorly after spending their hard earned money.

Initially I was ecstatic with my purchase...thought my sales guy was so helpful and ethical...Aramis is his name. But this turned out to be my worst car buying experience ever. I won't do business with this dealership and am letting anyone I know about what occurred. They sold me a lemon. Their solution...sell it back for a fraction of what I paid. Really? I paid in full for this vehicle and required no financing. I thought I had bad experiences at other dealerships...but this has topped every horror story. The car has so many issues with the undercarriage...brake lines, calipers, suspension system, belts and more. There is no way to tell driving it...but the mechanic says...get rid of this vehicle! Take it back immediately and do not put another dime into it. When I call the dealership salesman, he tries to convince me it is a great vehicle and the mechanic is probably wrong. Really????? Well maybe if it wasn't the third damn shop I took it to I might believe you Aramis.

I recently purchased a used Explorer Sport Trac from another Ford dealership (at the time is seemed like a good idea), but it was an entirely different experience - high pressure sale, hidden costs, and later I found that they'd performed cheap cosmetic work on the truck. I won't be doing that again. Now more than ever I am a fan of Mullinax Ford.

In Jan 2011 we bought a 2006 Ford Focus from Mullinax in New Smyrna Beach. When we took it on the interstate, there was excessive vibration. Took it back and left it for a day. They could not find a problem. Drove the car to North Carolina and back with TERRIBLE vibrations. Pulled off in rest areas several times and found the passenger side front brakes were sticking and getting hot. Took it back in to Mullinax for 2 days. They changed a motor mount which fixed a different problem but not the major vibration. Going to take the car in for the 3rd time for the same problem. I even took videos to show them the problem. We'll see if they 'get-it' this 3rd time in the shop. So far all still under warranty.

well it was a month and 1/2 and the fuel pump went out again after mullinax put it in for 846.00 had it towed in they replaced it under warr but again tried to sell me anther 1000.00 in shocks brakes and they again said it was a recal on the rear glass on the 2002 explorer they had in the shop last time and failed to fix it so they said they would do it agin i said ok but 2 hours later it still wasnt done they seemed to be pissed of because i didnt want any thing done so they let it sit there icalled told they to forget about it ill just pick it up its been like that for 8 yrs now its easier for me to fix it they act like there doing you a favor and it still cost me 100 dollars for towing so the warr was not free no one paid me for that and time lost also theres grease in the car even though though worked under it i feel you cant get an honest job from them and watch out for the service reps they will sell you anything no morals after all ford doing great they keep raking in the money .

I just bought a mustang there. ..couldn't be more, impressed with the sales men, .. had two, they were busy ...for a slow economy, people seem to be purchasing cars, .. i digress... from the day I walked in .. (left ..and came back because you never just walk in and buy a car...) to the day I picked up my new car ( to a couple days/weeks after...) we bought our exploer from mullinax ford they tried get me to change my fiancing to them i had already gotten it thought my credit union so they could make more money.also i brought it back to them because the vehicle would not start when my wife went out it would crank and after an hour it would start it happened like that for 3 months they said they could not find a problem they only know what there computer diagnosis tells them no one knows how to diagnose problems there just parts replacerers there pitiful no mechanics work there they dont know how to diagnose a problem without ther computer progam. also i was told i had a recall on the rear lift gate but they never did that either i ended up telling to replace the fuel pump which i authorized and it fixed the problem thank you for reading this the dealers are very good at selling and changing oil and tires and very simple repairs you need to try to find a good repair shop that has a real mechanic working ther if you want your ford fixed thanks again good luck

Mullinax Ford has always been my place to do business with. I like having a history of doing business with the same people in whatever area I need. Because of that, they, Mullinax went to bat for me when my vehicle was just out of warranty and they got me financial assistance. They did not say too bad, just the opposite. They appreciated my loyalty to them and really helped me out. By the way, I use to work for GM, they never offered a 3/36 on part and labor, that was their bumper to bumper. 12/12 is industry standard, If that doesnt work for you as a business owner then dont decline the extended warranty they offered you up front and dont blame the independent dealers who only work within the warranties the MANUFACTURERS set up, goes for any business from radios to hammers....get a clue.

My last encounter was a service call. I was treated rude by a service team member and the cashier followed up with a smart ass comment. I think I have just about exhausted all the dealerships in my area. When I sell this van, I will surely go with a new jeep or dodge.

Are you people paid to say these things? I had the EGR cooler in my 2006 F250 SD replaced after it blew at 75,000mi then 1.5 yrs later the SAME EXACT egr cooler blows AGAIN!! Mullinax? They said too bad. Theres a 12,000 mile warranty on parts and labor, >LMAO on a work truck? 12,000 mi is a JOKE! These vehicles are CRAP! $50,000 GARBAGE CAN and Mullinax is right there sucking the dollars from your pocket and laughing at you when their vehicles blow. By the way, 10yrs ago GM had a 3yr 36,000mi warranty on parts and labor. Ford deserves to be broke and out of business! Ford is the reason "American Made" is now synonymous with junk.

Mullinax is close to my home but even if it was not I would travel to get to them. The staff is friendly but not pushy. The prices are on the window so there are no games. I have bought 5 vehicles from here and will go back in a heart beat.
