I purchased a 2012 sonic from bill cramer a few months back and had a problem with a noise in the engine. I like most people was upset that a new car would make such a noise, but thanks to jennifer and her high sense of loyalty to her customers we were able to go in to the dealership and pick up a brand new sonic with no problems at all. I was very impressed by jennifer and the team at bill cramer for taking care of business and now they have a very satisfied customer.

First, let me say that I did NOT purchase my car at your dealership. (I did try, but you guys would not give me a good enough deal. I was trading in a BMW M5, and Sandy Sansing gave me $7000 more in trade in. I did, however, encourage my neighbors, to buy the 2009 Z06 that was on your lot about a year ago, and they did, indeed, purchase the vehicle from you.

Since I live here, I was hoping to make you guys my local service dealer. That??s why I had my oil changed in your service department on 1/4/2011.

My car is a 2007 Corvette Z06. Pretty expensive car. When the car was finished, I paid my bill, and this ??Multi point Vehicle Inspection ?? was attached. Several things bothered me.

First of all, it says that all 4 tires ??may require attention soon?. I purchased $1800+ worth of tires just before Thanksgiving. Then I took it to your dealership to have them aligned. The tires have not had 500 miles put on them, but your service people, think they ??may require attention soon??..seriously? (Cindy Tucker checked them, and said they were fine. I knew that!)

Second, the inspection has a notation ??Engine Oil Seepage.? When I asked Cindy Tucker about it?she said the oil changer never said anything to her about it. Cindy said I should have a ??certified technician? check it. I asked if the person that did my oil change was a ??certified technician??and she said, no, he was just an oil changer. Surely, if there is a problem with my car seeping oil, SOMEONE who knows what they are doing should have at the very least, looked at it, since the car was there ALL DAY! By the way, you do have Garagekeepers Liability?

Also, I have an ??engine light? on. When I used the Onstar (you know, the one I PAY for!) they said it was an emissions problem, and if it was still there after 7 ??start ups? to take it to the dealer. Cindy Tucker said it would be $90 JUST to hook it up to the diagnostic equipment. Isn??t that what I am paying the Onstar for?? And, assuming it is an emissions problem?don??t Federal regulations say that you have to fix those things with no cost to the consumer?

Cindy Tucker also said that I should have done the $354.95 ??service?. First time that I have ever heard of that?.and my car has been in your service area, 3 different times in the past year. And, she said I may as well go ahead and do the 30,000 mile service on it, even though the car has just over 25,000 miles on it. Let me get this straight?..I paid 75,000+ for this car and before there are 30,000 miles on it, I should spend $2000 on tires, and another $1130 on service work! What great cars you guys are building??? No wonder you had to be bailed out! Needless to say, I am done with you guys. Just wanted you to know why!

I have to say purchasing my brand new GMC Sierra from this Dealership was the best vehicle buying experience that I have ever had. The sales person and manager where very straight forward with the figures! I saved a good chunk of money from their special pricing. Also another comment I wish to make along with the very smooth sales process is that there was absolutely no pressure what so ever. I highly recommend Bill Cramer Chevrolet to anyone in the market or possibly thinking of purchasing a vehicle. You will not regret it, I know I didn??t.

Had my Cavalier towed to Cramer Chevrolet and was told the problem was a bad fuel pump and associated equipment. They wanted to charge me over $1000 to replace.

I got a second quote from a reputable mechanic who uses AC Delco parts and the price was almost half. Even after I paid Cramer $90 + tax (also rediculous!) for the diagnostics and a $45 tow from Cramer to the mechanic I still saved over $400.

Took the service department over an hour to close out my repair ticket so I could have the car towed.

Overall my experience with the serivce department was less than desireable.

I will have to think long and hard when I need a new vehicle. I love Chevrolets but may have to go out of town to purchase.

Complaint:
My complaint from Bill Cramer stems from the service department regarding my Cadillac. Simply, I was not a Bill Cramer customer until my previous GM dealership closed; the previous dealer had been continually working on chronic problems the car had with 2 squeaks/rattles. The first had been a problem from the day I purchased the car used, and I have documentation to prove that the previous dealership attempted to fix the problem on numerous occasions. This problem commenced before the warranty period on the vehicle ran out. A second rattle was caused by the previous dealership when they fixed the sunroof on the vehicle; they again attempted to fix the problem but were unable. I have documentation to prove this history as well.

It was at this point that the previous dealership, with excellent customer service, closed. I brought my vehicle to Bill Cramer to have a few warranty repairs completed as well as fix the 2 aforementioned rattles.

Simply, they refused, saying it was the previous dealerships fault and not theirs. So be it, I called GM and explained the situation, at which point they said they would most likely pay for the vehicle to be fixed if Bill Cramer would confirm the 2 rattles in the vehicle.

At this point, as far as I'm concerned, the service manager simply lied to GM in saying 'we tested the vehicle, any rattles have nothing to do with the previous problems and need to be covered by the owner'. This, simply, isn't the case, and in addition, they never tested the car for the rattles according to the estimate from the previously mentioned service appoint. This lie, I believe, stems from the fact that I was aggressive with the service manager in getting my car fixed...and he paid me back by ensuring that I would have to pay for the fix by being dishonest with GM corporate.

Finally, after this was complete, the manager of the service department at Bill Cramer refused to answer or return my calls or messages. The avoidance lasted over 2 weeks until I called back GM, told corporate I was unable to remedy the situation and that I needed them to resolve the issue. Simply, GM refused, supported their dealer and not the customer, and the issue was considered closed.

Resolution:
There wasn't one! I fixed the problems myself and then sold the vehicle. I am again in the market for another car, which I certainly won't purchase at bill Cramer. The reason I write this complaint is because it disgusts me that Bill Cramer has an A+ rating on the BBB site and a 3 star rating here. I desire it to be reflected that, even if it isn't their standard practice, one of the executives at their company has lied to General Motors to cover his tracks after not completing a service requirement he said was completed, and thereafter refused to resolve the issue with the customer. Anyone who needs service done on their GM needs to highly consider going elsewhere if the #1 representative in the Service Department at this company acts in this way and treats customers in this manner.

Finally, the reason this issue makes me disappointed enough to write this complaint, is because the rattles/squeaks are so inexpensive to fix. My vehicle is a nearly $70,000 Cadillac (the 3rd most expensive GM vehicle sold in 2004 to my knowledge) with 2 $10 problems. I am in the market for another $70,000 vehicle and the dealership knew this. Still, there was absolutely no consideration from what is supposed to be America's premier luxury auto brand. It disgusts me and my desire in taking my time to write this complaint is that others consider using other companies before giving their business to Bill Cramer.

Took my vehicle to get warranty fixes. Mirrors were not functioning, they said they could not replicate problem. I doubt they did because all you had to do was go in reverse. Finally got them to replace mirror after third visit, even though i mentioned it may be a software problem. They said they did a warranty fix for my electrical system but my battery went dead anyways. I'm going foreign.

Fact Bought New 1990 Chevrolet for Home Health care. Problem grindings in rear end, solution replaced right rear brake and hub mega money, problem persist. I took it back and nothing wrong took it to another dealer wrong rear end fluid when top off when bought. Fact Bought used Suburban problem diesel glow plug malfunction replaced. # month later Glow plug failed again, problem loose ground wire they installed, charged again mega money. Problem Diesel pump bad, failed to supply bad part replaced new diesel pump. Small problems cutting out on occasions and now it quit. They now are charging me $85 to-look at. I am still pending to find reason and price. Doubt if they stand by their work more night mares if it follow the consumer abuse policy. Fact major Republican contributor from Tommy Thomas Chevrolet, help from State doubtful.
