I took my first ever cruise on the Disney Wonder in 2001. I was so impressed. Everything was absolutely fabulous -- the room (though small), the ship, the dining, the activities, the spa, the private island. I thought it just couldn't get better than that, and that Disney was the epitome of cruising. A couple years later I went on a Royal Caribbean cruise. The room was smaller (I wondered how that was even possible), but everything else really was equal or better than the Disney cruise. I enjoyed the ship more. I enjoyed the dining more since you didn't have to go to a different dining location every night like you do on Disney. I enjoyed the dance clubs a LOT more than the ones on Disney. And the price was almost half of what the Disney cruise cost. All things considered, if you have small kids in your party, go with the Disney Cruise if you can afford it. But if you don't have small kids, try another cruise line. You'll save money and have just as much fun, if not more. Oh, and the ports are much more convenient elsewhere unless you live on the East Coast of Central Florida. The Disney Cruise is an hour + drive from Disney World or an airport. With other cruise lines, you can generally find a cruise that departs from the same city as a major airport (Miami, Jacksonville, Ft. Lauderdale, Tampa, New York). Happy Cruising.

PROS: Great cruise, it's Disney
CONS: It's expensive, bad location for port of departure
