When I was little, my parents took us to Little Friends for a few months, and I can relate to the other comments. Back then things were not right. With a new building and director, you'll really be impressed!

Little Friends now has a new building and I love it! There's a lot of room in each class room so that the children have room to play and learn. I have 2 kids in the daycare. One is almost 5 and just moved up to the "School Age" Class and the other one just turned one, so he was in the "babies" and now "toddlers". All of the classes my kids have been in have great teachers. There is also a new director who is amazing. After meeting her just once, she remembered my name and my kids. She's always understanding and her office is open to discuss any issues. For entrance, you have to have a personal code. The door will not open without it, and the door is not allowed to be kept open. As soon as you walk in, a staff member acknowledges you and directs you where you need to go (if you need to be there). My oldest one gets to go on field trips now that it's summer time. They go places like Whispering Pines Pool, the Roller Barn, and bowling. There's just as much room outside as there is in so you know that you're kids will find something to do that they love. Every day something fun is going on. This is the only daycare where I can drop my kids off and they're not screaming for me not to leave. They actually enjoy going to daycare. How many daycares in town can you say that about? If you're looking for a good daycare, check it out! We tried 3 others in town before we settled on this one. And we couldn't be happier!

I ended up putting my child there because they were the only ones with an opening and I was starting a new job so I was really left with no options. At first I thought it was okay. Not the cleanest place but it seemed priority was placed on the "religious" atmosphere. My child was in the infant/toddler room so I can't speak for the older classes. You had to have a security code to come into the building (which I thought was a BIG plus...at the beginning) but I cannot tell you how many times I was able to just walk right in because the door was left open. A relative of mine was also able to just walk right into the school without anyone saying a word to her until she finally asked someone for directions to the classroom. We ended up pulling out after 6 months because my son was constantly sick and we just couldn't get past the hygiene issue of the room. The staff was friendly (to get us in the door) but afterwards the staff pretty much acted like you were inconveniencing them by asking questions. This was a few years ago and now they have a new building so I can't speak of how it is now, if security/hygiene was bumped up or not but if the same people are in charge, I wouldn't expect many changes.
