Bad bad warranty, actually none at all you must pay $42.00 for then just to look if the problem isn't a warranty selected you guessed it you are -$42.00 just for looking, for an item on this case a edger with a $300 value and only a month

Horrible & Dishonest. Obviously their intention is to SELL you a mower NOT Repair Your Mower. I took my 4 year old mower in and they Charged me $43.00 just to look at it. After 2 weeks they called and said " nope it's gonna be too expensive to fix but if we can keep your "old" mower we will give you $42 off of a new one. I brought my mower so another company and they fixed it right then & there for $45.00 They said it just needed a new spark plug & a govener spring had come loose. Please be smary & NEVER Buy from these people.

Sorry for the tacky clich but avoid Landscape Supply (LS).
I purchased a walk behind lawn mower from LS about a year ago that has a 3 year warranty.

After a few uses it started to have a rough idle and apparently one of the throttle wires was crimped but it still ran. I brought it over to LS, when the self propelled motor stopped working. I was required to pay $42.00 refundable deposit to have it diagnosed (if the repair was under warranty it was to be refunded).

After about 10 days they finally diagnosed it and informed me the belt had slipped off of the motor and the cable needed adjustment. Moreover, they felt that for ??good measure? they needed to replace the carburetor and sharpen the blade. While the belt/cable problem was under warranty, the carburetor was not. This was just an extra $156, well actually $200 minus my $42 deposit.

When I told them not to fix the carburetor just what was under warranty, I was told my deposit was not refundable. I reminded them of what I was told when I dropped it off but was informed since there was some grass and dirt in the motor; the $42 was an extra fee to clean that out. What did they expect to find in a lawn mower bars of gold?

When I asked to speak with the manager ??Mike? I was informed not surprisingly that he was unavailable. I told them my next step was to call the head office of MTD/Cub Cadet in Ohio and LS said I don??t know what that will do. I spoke with an amazingly helpful service representative at MTD and relayed my problem. He told me not to dispute the $42 charge on my credit card but MTD would give it back to me if LS would not and that he would parlay with them about my repair. About a half an hour later LS called me back and said since I misunderstood they would refund my deposit.
I didn??t misunderstand; I know what I was told. Landscape Supply wants to add unneeded repairs to get ever penny they can from you (screw the warranty work). Just look over their reviews on the Internet and their ??F? rating on BBB. I sent copies of these reviews to the head office so they can judge for themselves if they want this business handling their products!

Watch out of the quality of their grass! I have purchased sod from Landscape Supply Co. over the last few years on several occassions. The first time, I just got one pallet of sod for my front yard and the quality was great, so I went there again for sod for my back yard. Big mistake. I bought 6 pallets and had it delivered. When putting it down, I noticed that there were some bugs, but I did not think much of it. About a week later the lawn was full of bugs and started to show bald spots. I called them, but they were not able to do anything about it, they said because having bugs is normal. My front yard is looking great, but the 6 pallets that I put down in my back yard were horrible. No solution, no discount, nothing.

I stopped by there today, as I had to change the blad on my edger and I could not get the bolt loose. I figured that they would have the tools and that I would ask them to losen it for me. Well, after standing in line for 20 minutes (which I didn't really minded as I was hoping that they would help me, so in the meantime I looked around for some other supplies that I needed), I asked them if they could loosen one small bolt. The answer was "yes, that will be $5".... what? $5 to loosen a bolt? I can understand if I was asking for repairs to be done and I would totally expect to be charged for this, but to loosen one bolt. It literally took them 10 seconds. I had them put it on my Amex card and they gave me a receipt for it so in the end with credit card fee's, they only made $4, but lost a customer for life. Not a very good strategy. By the time everything was all set and done, I took 30 minutes and I was out $5,32 (incl taxes), but at least I did not spend any more money at this store and I will not be back. Again very disappointed in the customer service. They have some great products, but it appears that they only cater towards the professional companies and not the individual consumer. I just read the other reviews posted, but it appears that they changed over their company policy for helping customers without a charge, because they did not blink an eye, when they said it was going to be $5, take it or leave it... I will take it, but will not be back. Hope this review is helpfull to you and you will think twice before you give your business to Landscape Supply Co. Go to Home Depot! (on a side note, I went there a few months ago after I bought a weedeater there and it was not running well, so I brought it in and they fully examined it and helped me out by recommending a repair place to bring it to. Funny enough they did not recommend the Landscape Supply Co, less then half a mile down the street... this should have been a sign for me!

These guys have a big crew, just like they said, and they were very professional. The sod was in great shape, they were able to get it faster than anyone else and it was laid flat and straight. Everyone I spoke with was very nice and knowledgable. Would do business with again.

It's been 2 months now since my "install date". They abandoned the site after sod-cutting half the job... then never returned my calls, but promising "next week" by email multiple times - failing to show up or let me know when to really expect them to come. I've had to spend another $325 now for someone else to fix their abandoned site.

Silly me to expect follow-through after selling me with their "doing business with a handshake" speech.

Absolutely fabulous company. They gave an estimate over the phone within minutes. Jim came the next morning to take a look at our yard and make sure we got an accurate estimate over the phone. He had his crews out to start work the next business day. Their prices are competitive and they were able to get sod to us before anyone else. They were very prompt and customer service appears to be their highest priority. I highly recommend them.

I found this place actually completely by mistake. I was supposed to meet a friend to get some food and i had just gotten off of work so i had my work trailer with me and it turned out this place was right near us and i noticed it when we left after eating. I decided to see what the store had cuz earlier that day i had broken my mower. I stopped by and ive been a regular there for over a year. They really know how to do what they say they do. I am very happy with them and i refuse to go to anyone else.

All I can really say about this company is that they were really helpful. Their customer service skills are insane. The second I walked through the door someone asked me how they could help me, I was carrying my broken weed wacker, and they helped me immediately. I was amazed as to how large the building was! There was all kinds of things all over the walls and on the floor. I've also never seen a company that literally sells everything related to landscaping. I mean, you always see places that specialize in just one type of product. Like a company that sells rock, or a company that only does lawn mowers. Landscape Supply literately has it all! I WILL BE BACK!

i shopped here over the summer with my aunt . when we walked in the store they helped us right there . and the workers are so nice . they hepled her with her lawnmowing problems and all of that . i really liked how the workers helped us right away . they are very good and the workers know how to do there job as well .

They simply amazed me. They had a huge facility just loaded with anything and everything a landscaper could need. I initially went there to buy a couple pallets of sod for my yard and ended up buyin some mulch, a new chainsaw and hedge trimmer, and getting my broken rider mower fixed. theyre workers there really friendly and nice. I will definitely shop there again!
