One day I went to Feathers & Fins because we had a turtle in our yard who would not leave. So Clyde became his name and Feathers & Fins his Vet, or so to speak. Jenny taught us everything we know about box turtle care. It was early in the morning and everyone was busy cleaning and feeding which is done daily. Yes I saw a little poo, but it is a pet store. At other times we have been into the store and it was cleaner than clean. The staff was helpful and friendly, If they didn't know the answer they found out. Since they opened we have been there often and think they are better than the average pet store. One must look at the photo in it's context.

I just read these other reviews.

I stopped by Feathers & Finns this past fall while in town. I don't know about the reptiles, the dogs, cats, fish, etc. The birds seemed fine. The cages were clean, they had fresh food and clean water, as well as, adequate and appropriate toys to play with. They were playful, chattering and seemed in excellent feather & health.

I have one plus about Feathers and Fins....I met my husband there. Other than that, there's nothing else good about it. The tanks with rats and mice are overcrowded and nasty. The reptiles do not have adequate lighting and nutrition (jenny has basically forgotten about the poor things) and of all the animals, the puppies and kittens seem to have the worst of it all. I went in a couple years ago and noticed two dauschand puppies for sale. The Fact that both were in a single cage was not an issue...but it was a very small cage. Also, there was a full sized black lab in the bottom cage, which when he stood, his back scraped the top...the poor thing couldn't even extend his legs fully. well to make it quick I bought the 2 puppies (right at $1000.00 for both, yes, I was bitten by the dumb bug) and headed out with jenny telling me I would be recieving their AKC papers soon. I had yet to receive any papers and checked in from time to time with her, but she hadn't gotten them either. 6 months later they came in the mail...but the VERY expensive dogs I had purchased were not able to be fully registered (meaning I can't show them or breed them)...so basically I paid $1000 for pound puppies...I would NEVER give them back, but if I had known that they weren't going to be showworthy, I wouldn't have let myself fall in love with them at the shop. She never once stated limited reg. or anything. I filed a complaint with the BBB and have never been back since. To top it off, BOTH have epilepsy...

I am a returning customer at Feathers & Fins, and as a fish expert, I can tell you that the tanks in that store are just fine. I asked for a PH and salinity test before buying exotic saltwater fish and was very satisfied by their care. (Poor Pet Care Review), if you know about reptiles, fine, but as you are probably not an expert on fish and birds too, don't criticize what you aren't familiar with. An uniformed review is needlessly damaging, and stupid. I am absolutely not an expert on birds, but they looked healthy to my un-trained eye.

They are killing their reptiles. Most of their reptiles have rot mouth, due to unsanitary practices. Their bearded dragons are un-healthy, have rot mouth, and are not receiving a proper diet or lighting. My husband is a reptile expert and was disgusted enough with the care of their reptiles that he has reported them. Their fish tanks are not properly cleaned either. We are not knowledgeable on birds, but the birds they have on sale look unhealthy (unkempt and dirty).
