Omnitrace Corp

After 36 years of wondering where I came from I decided to hire a intermediary to help me find out where my biological parents were. Growing up adopted left a small void of curiousness. A dim sense of individuality, which I felt I needed to cure. Omnitrace was my cure. I had first names of my bio-parents and where I was born and that was it. My adoption was closed so I always felt discouraged about looking. Even the nice professional I talked to said sometimes it takes over a year. Nevertheless I hired them and they found my parents in a matter of several weeks. Not only were my parents found it turns out I have a full brother and sister. I was astonished at the speed and service I got. I wish I hired them earlier. Anyway as it turns out, my birth family was un-separated and living a half hour away from me. I was so grateful to have company that actually helped improve my life instead of just taking my money and running. I highly recommend using Omnitrace for any adoptee wanting to search. It's worth it!

Thanks to OmniTrace, my search for my birth mother was a success. After getting up the nerve to start the search, I contacted OmniTrace. They provided me with everything I needed. Yesterday, my original Birth Certificate arrived. They had an address and a phone number for me the SAME DAY. That is all I need to say. I have already had a friend make contact with my birth mom and will speak with her later today for the first time in my life. If you are thinking about an adoption search, just imagine what that will feel like.

I was sitting on my back porch with my son-in-law, who knew he was going to Afghanastan in a few months. I asked him what was on his mind. He said he wanted to find his birth parents. I told him i would see what I could do. I went to an adoption site and clicked on Omni-trace. I placed a call and spoke to a very nice man, but was hesitant. He sent me his information via email and invited to check the company out. I did. I gave him the info he requested and Ashley contacted me. In a short time, I was given the info I needed. I passed the info on to my son-in-law. First he made contact with his bio. father. It turned out very nice, they were able to spend some time together. Then his mother was found, she immediately came to see him. She lives 5 states away.
What a wonderful reunion they had! She had even made a family scrap book for him. He was so excited since he had never seen any of his baby pictures before. He went on to war, and was here about 3 weeks before his bio. father passed away. He was allowed to come home for 3 weeks. He is now back fighting for our country. He is so thankful and now feels complete, knowing his background, knowing his bio mom and dad had always loved him. I feel blessed to be part of the journey. It could not have been done with out Brian and Ashley from Omni-trace. THANK YOU!!!!

We used OmniTrace Corp to find our long, lost relative. She was given away at birth. We felt empty and disconnected. OmniTrace found her within weeks. We did some research ourselves and were pleased with the cost that OmniTrace quoted us to do the harder tasks of finding our missing loved one. We didn't feel we could pay all the "sources" out there to connect to all the various databases to search for our loved one and we weren't sure we could trust the info we might receive. OmniTrace did that for us. We are truly grateful and would do it again with OmniTrace is we had to.

These guys are absolutely incredible! I contacted them without researching any other companies, and asked them if they could help me find my birth mother who was gone from my life at the age of 1 1/2 when my parents divorced. I'm now 39. I had no information about her other than a name and approximate age. I initially spoke on the phone with Diane, who was very polite and professional. She all but guaranteed me that they would find her. I thought that since I had researched online many times trying to find her with no luck, that it would prove to be a quite difficult if not impossible task for Omnitrace. They found her in 3 days. Ashley, one of Omnitrace's investigators first phoned me with all my mother's contact info, then emailed it to me. I spoke to my mother for the first time in my life yesterday, it was a beautiful reunion. I'm a firefighter, and i't takes a lot to get me emotional, but that was by far the most emotional experience of my life. Thank you Onmnitrace! I have tears in my eyes even as I write this now, and I can't thank you enough. You have helped to make my life complete.

As a volunteer for Stand up for Kids in the San Jose area, I am helping a young man find his family. Stand up for Kids works with homeless youth to keep them off of the street and assist them in leading a productive, meaningful life.

The kid I am working with, Jason was looking for his estranged family. After exhausting all of my methods I contacted Omni Trace for assistance. Within a few hours, Omni Trace found Jasons aunt and two cousins. Jason now has a family and a link to other relatives.

I contacted Omnitrace last October to see if they could help me find my birth family since I was adopted at age 13 months. I gave them what information I had, which was where I was born, where I was adopted and my mother's first and last name. They had me request "non-identifying" information about my birth records fromt he state where I was adopted. The state finally sent it to me the other day. I read through it and thought I identified the name of my mother's brother-in-law and e-mailed it to Omnitrace yesterday morning to see if they could check it. I also told them I was sending the record to them at that time.

Yesterday evening I get a call from Chris, the investigator, asking me if I kept a copy of the record and to give him some information from it. I was able to give him the names of my mother's sisters and some other information and he told me he thought he had found my mother. He even had her phone number and address. I asked him to contact her and see if she was interested in knowing about me. He did and called me back to tell me she definitely wanted to talk to me.

So yesterday, after nearly 55 years, I talked to my mother for the first time, thanks to Chris and Omnitrace.

I contacted Omni-Trace in Jan. & they found my grand-daughter in less then 4 months. I am thrilled.
My daughter, as of now, does not know this as she is going thru a bit of a medical crisis with her 13 year old son.
But we will tell her soon.

A suggestion for O-T--even tho you say no updates for 16 weeks it is very difficult to see all this money going out with no appearant results. This is a very emotional journey we are taking & with some, a fiancial difficulty also.
An occasional email just to say you are still trying & we haven't forgotten you would ease the minds of those of us searching.

It's been just over six years that I've been in touch with my son. Omnitrace helped with locate him after a few short months.

I cannot express in words how happy I am to be in touch with my son. For the initial four years we communicated via email occasionally. I let him choose the moment that was comfortable to meet.

On the day his daughter was born I received my first call from Scott. It was yet another unforgettable moment. We met a few months after that call and have since become fast friends. We share the same professional career!! His wife is fantastic as is our new grand child.

It's been two years since we met. We are both exceptionally happy with how things have turned out!

Thank You Omnitrace for your help in bringing us together. The work you do is wonderful.

I provided a great deal of informtation regarding the person I was searching for, and sadly, that's exactly the infomation they sold back to me in their report, the tech who "helped" me provided me with a email address was no longer active and house address was very outdated. When I contacted the tech that "helped" me I was told to contact them again in 90 days, but they would not help me until I had waited the required 90 days. But after 90 days they woud search again (for free.) I do not recommend this company to anyone. Save yourself the money and heartache and search on your own. The results will be the same.....Good luck to you all and save your money...

After 48 years a secret was revealed and you were there to help us put together the mystery with such compassion, aloha and respect for all parties. After 46 years i finally decided to search for my birth mother and used omnitrace to try and locate her. I did have some partial information about her name but that was about it.All of the people at omnitrace were very professional and really seemed to care about my search .I thought the cost was reasonable for the task at hand given the countless hours that i tried on finding her myself with no luck. I guess depending on how much information you have on the person you are looking for really either speeds up or slows down the search process but in about 8 months they did locate her and confirm she was my birth mother,i also found out that i had a sister.Unfortunately my birth mother has not yet wanted to make contact with me but is very close to doing so.Ashley at omnitrace has been a great help throught the process and has been contacting my birth mother every so often to see if she is ready for contact . It seem that no one knew of her pregnancy and she doesnt know how to break the news to her family that she had another child. I guess time will tell. Thank you omnitrace for all of your hard work in finding her .Hopefully in time she will get the strength to tell her family about me. I would highly recommend omnitrace to anyone looking for a birth parent or anyone that you are trying to find !!!!!!

Great experience dealing with OmniTrace. They were clear with their promise and delivered hard to find information on my wifes birth mother within 3 months. I was skeptical at first since I hadn't heard of them before and they wanted money upfront. I trust them now and would recommend them anytime. Good luck!

the staff is very respectful and knowledgeable. I gave them a 60 year old case and THEY SOLVED IT !!!! Not only was the case old but it included a couple of name changes. I was looking for information on my birth family and I am united with an aunt. My birth mother has passed but it is a comfort to have that info. There is no way I can express my thanks. Sandra

I contacted Omnitrace to find my birth mother with not more than my birthplace and date, and some non-identifying information provided to me by the state of KY. Six months later they found her... turns out she had tried looking for me three year earlier, and had no luck with the agency she used. Omnitrace contacted her for me, we have spoken several times since, and look forward to a reunion in the very near future! I highly recommend Omnitrace- their staff was always helpful, encouraging and professional. It may have taken longer than some of the reviews I have read on here, but it was so worth the wait. Worth every penny and more! Thank you Sonia, Chris, Rachel and everyone who helped me at Omnitrace!

I'm Sean after about 20 years of not seeing my daughter I started looking for her. I looked for over a year wound up at dead ends. So one day I was on an adoption web site and saw Omnitrace's add so emailed them and the next day they called me and took the little information had about my daughter. Three days later I was in contact with her mother. If you want fast results these are the people to call.

OmniTrace is amazing. They found a friend whom I had not seen or talked with for 30 years. I had no SS# or last known address. I had no confirmed last name, as she could have remarried during that 30-yr period. Kevin gave me great confidence and it proved worthy. They found her in less than 3 weeks. Sonia called me and e-mailed the current info. My friend and I are now exchanging e-mails everyday and talking on the phone 3 or 4 time a week. I will see her at Thanksgiving time. I will forever be grateful to OmniTrace for restoring this friendship which began 37 years ago.

I hired OmniTrace to search for my birth mother about three months ago. The salesperson I spoke with was very supportive and not pushy in any way, which I really appreciated. Once I engaged them they were very prompt in sending me a packet requesting information, including an application from my home state for a copy of my original birth certificate. This turned out to be key as it had my birth mother's name on it. From there it was easy for OmniTrace to locate her and put me in touch.

As part of their fee OmniTrace will make first contact with the birth parent. I had them do this on my behalf and they did a wonderful job. Needless to say it was a shock to my birth mother but they broke the news to her in a respectful way that made it much easier for me to then call her.

Even though the actual search portion of my case was not difficult, I don't know that I would have been able to find my birth mother without OmniTrace's help and guidance. I recommend them highly.

It only took 3 days for Omnitrace Corp to find my birth mother. All I had was Soc Sec. # and maiden name and they provided me with the information I needed to get a hold of birth mother. They are a great service to use and would highly recommend them.

This Company is awesome! After all the years of searching for my mother, they were able to find her in less then two weeks! I have lost alot of money searching for her over the years, to come up with no results but this company truly does what they say they are going to do. I contacted Omnitrace a year ago, to help me find my son that I gave up for adoption twenty three years ago... They were so nice, and helpful.. Although It was a rather large expence, they were willing to work a payment plan out for me so that I could still follow through with the search.. I was scared, and nervous when they got back to me with the info on my son.. And they also helped with that as well... I contacted my son's adoptive mom, and she was wonderful!!! She said that my son Joseph, had been wanting to know me since he was four... We started off just chatting on facebook, then talking on the phone, And texting all the time.... After a year had passed, he got the courage up to come visit me in Maui.. Now, As of Sept. 27th my son moved over here to be close to me... And I am good friends with his adoptive mom... Things could'nt have worked out better!!! My life is now complete!!! Thank you Omnitrace!!!

I have just heard from OmniTrace, which located my older son within 2 months. I'm still in shock but very excited. I'm in the process of writing a letter (first) and am very hopeful things work out. Although it was a little pricey, I feel OmniTrace was worth the expense. It would be a help, though, if someone could suggest how to approach the letter-writing...

I have been looking for a half-sister for years. I finally got in touch with Omnitrace. It was a little spendy, but it only took them two (2) weeks to find info on her. Unfortunately, she had passed away, but they gave me info on her daughter. I contacted her. She had no idea that we existed. ( I have siblings) She was delighted, after getting over her shock, and checking me out ( on facebook) We plan on getting together soon. My siblings and I are all excited, tho sad that we didn't get to meet our half-sister. The niece said that she see's the resemblance in us two older sisters.and her mother. I am excited. I commissioned OmniTrace to conduct a search for my birth parents some time back. I knew it would be a very difficult process because of the sealed adoption records laws in place in Manitoba, Canada. Even so OmniTrace was able to provide me with the names of my birth mother and father. They were even able to provide me with the my birth mother's current married name, address and phone number. I recommend their service to anyone with a difficult search.

I contacted OmniTrace about a month ago and they have been very helpful in helping me locate my bio brother and sister. They talked with a nephew and he confirmed he was related. He however was unwillng to give much info on his father. So far have been unable to get in touch with my sister. Omni did locate her address and sent that to me. Have been trying to contact her but so far no response. Hoping she will get in touch with me soon.
Excited......My sister contacted me and she was so excited to hear that she had a sister. We have talked on the phone and she said we have so much to talk about. Thanks to Omni Trace I have found my sister after 78 years.

I contacted Omnitrace back in August 2007. I finally decided to hire them in March of 2009. After about 8 months they told me they found a possible birth mother match are were attempting to contact her. After receiving no responses they forwarded her information onto me. It turned out it was not a match. Omnitrace stayed with it and continued searching.

This week (7/27/10) they called me to tell me they had found another match, and forwarded me the information. I attempted to contact my birth mother's brother. After talking with him he said he would try to contact his sister and pass along my information. Last night she called me and was able to verify my birth information.

Throughout the entire process, the people at Omnitrace were wonderful, caring, and considerate. Thank you again Omnitrace!

All of my life, I thought that I'd been an only child. Then, at a very recent family reunion on my father's side, a first cousin I'd not seen in decades asked of me casually, "So, do you keep in touch with your sister?"

After I recovered enough to speak at all, I asked that cousin 1000 questions, but the only information she could provide was that she had seen my half-sister "Ginny" only once when my cousin and she had both been 14 years old. Not much to go on, given that Ginny's and my dad had died 20 years previously. No full birth name, or birth date, or birth place. Just the first name of Dad's first wife, who was the mother of Ginny.

Well, with my own stubborn determination and a bit of stunning good fortune, I gathered a few more "probable" clues before turning over my results to OmniTrace (who came highly recommended to me by someone who'd used their services in 2009).

In less than 24 hours, I received the current telephone number, mailing address, and married name of my sister, together with a few reassuring facts that helped confirm she was the sister I sought.

And now, for the past two weeks, Ginny and I have delighted in exchanging many things from our heretofore separate lives. There is so much yet to share, but our journey together has begun, and we are two thankful, amazed, weeping, sometimes stunned siblings who have even more blessings to count than before. Thank you to OmniTrace for timely, thorough, accurate service on such an important request. In response to the question "Will wonders ever cease?" I say, "Probably not!"

I want to thank omnitrace corp. for finding my friend I havent talked to him sence 1980. it was the right address and phone number but I was alittle to late looking for him. but he is still alive and I thank God for that, anyone that wants to find find someone this is the site to come to. they will find what your looking for I love Omnitrace Corp. and I would use them again if I had another search. I contacted Omni Trace to start a search for my half sister about 3 months ago. Just a couple of weeks ago I got an email which listed four people with same date of birth and name. I decided just to start making phone calls and later that evening I got a call back and it was actually my sister! We talked for almost an hour and then I called my mother to let her know that I had found the child that she was forced to give up at age 19. She was very excited and they talked for a very long time. I am so excited to begin this relationship. Thanks so much for everything that you did to make this possible.

I started my search for my biological mother at the urging of my adoptive parents. I didn't hold out much hope as I was already 45 years old. They gave me the standard things that it would take awhile and told me I could follow up in 6 months with them to get the status, so I marked my daytimer for 6 months from the time I spoke to them and didn' t think much more about it. I was surprised when they called me more like 6 weeks later they had found her. I had a lot of mixed emotions, but she is a wonderful person. I have had the opportunity to spend time with her and my half sister. I will see them again for our spring break vacation. The whole experience has been very positive and I would highly recommend Omni Trace.

On our way to reunification! I contacted Omnitrace Corp in Dec. 09 to begin a search for the son I gave up for adoption in 1964. We were excited as it appeared Omnitrace had located him, by January! But, alas, calls to the phone number indicated the number was disconnected. My Omnitrace contact promised to follow up with a letter and get back to me with results. As of this writing, March 3, 2010 we are still awaiting confirmation of location and contact with my birth son. I have faith that Omnitrace's extensive resources will yield positive results before too long. We're all in God's Hands and it will happen in His Time.

I hired Omnitrace in June of 2008 to help me find my birthmother. I followed instructions and gave them all of the information I had. It was difficult to have so little contact with them, but they told me that I would receive updates every four months.
At times I felt like it was such a long time to wait. But, one morning - 18 months later - I received a call from Rachel telling me my search had been completed. I was amazed. I had been looking for over 40 years!! And Omnitrace found my birthmom. No easy job since her name is extremely common and there are thousands of women with the same name!
I would certainly recommend Omnitrace to anyone searching for someone that you just cannot live without any longer.

THANK YOU, Omni! I hired you in Nov. 2008 to find my friend's birth family after investigating other search companies. I admired that you were up front about some searches taking A LONG TIME & that you'd stick with it. My friend had done a lot of internet looking with the little information he had and he'd added his name to every online adoption registry he could find. He looked through phone books in various cities and I'd done some digging too. When I considered all the time we'd invested with no results to show other than a possible birth mother's maiden name, and that time is never on our side, I hired Omni. I refused to tell my friend how much I'd paid them until they found his people.

It was a loooooong 11 months we waited but OMNI FOUND HIS BIRTH MOTHER, 40 years after she relinquished him! She was born in Michigan but lives 1.3 miles away from us in Los Angeles!

Within a few hours of hearing from Omni the end of October 2009 my friend met his birth mother, talked on the phone with his birth father & met one of his half sisters. It was an AMAZING reunion! They'd been waiting for him to find them! The next day he met his 2nd half sister and two days after that we drove 60 miles with his birth mother to meet his birth father for another fantastic reunion! The two men look identical! Neither of my friend's birth parents are in good health so we are INCREDIBLY pleased we hired Omni & they kept digging. Thank you Omni!

I did a search for my birth mother that was solved by OmniTrace in 2007.
I wanted to tell you that, almost two years later, I have developed an amazing, comfortable, loving and confiding relationship with my mother. We spent well over a year exchanging mail and email, and then in Feb 2009 we met and spent a week together in MA. My adoptive and bio mom met and exchanged teary hugs and gratitude. In April, I flew to Spokane for a "homecoming". I met my three half-sibs (two brothers, one sister) and my five aunts and uncles, one maternal grandmother and seven nieces and nephews all flew in from across the continental US to share this reunion. It was so powerful and felt like I had truly been welcomed home. Then in August she came here for another week. I am constantly on the phone with her and am also developing relationships with my sibs. There is a feeling like "this is the way it always has been" that comforts me.
I have done many amazing things in my life, but I am convinced that this is my "magnum opus", that when I take my last breath I will be so thankful that we both took the risk. Chris, you and Omnitrace are truly angels on this earth, and have richly and sweetly blessed me beyond any measure. I am so profoundly grateful and in awe of the work that you do. I had almost given up hope of ever finding my son until I contacted OmniTrace. It took about 18 months until the phone rang. It was Candice saying they had found my son. OMG!!!! after 45 years of thinking of and wondering about him; my dream came true thanks to OmniTrace. Since then, my son and I had a wonderful reunion and have established a terrific relationship.

Thank you Chris and Omni Trace you are awesome. I have tried for years to find out what happened to my daughter and where she is, then out of the blue she found me after 40 years, this is my greatest joy ever. I now have my adoptive daughter in my life again and it's great. She found out she has an older sister and a niece and nephew. I was so happy to hear from her we hope to meet soon. Since we live so far apart that is going to take some planning, The funniest thing is that both of my daughters have the same name, both first and middle and the same last initial. My first daughter Dawn lives in Texas I live in California and my newly discovered daughter Dawn lives in Alaska, we are hoping for a March meeting and I can't wait. Trading pictures is fine but we all want to hug, this is the start of a whole new life for all of us. We all speak on the phone often and e-mail daily. I couldn't be happier, just knowing we are family and have gotten so close so quickly is absolutely over whelming. My daughter has the sibling she has wished for her whole life, I can't thank you enough. I am truly looking forward to our meeting. Thank you again for giving me back my daughter, this is the start of a wonderful relationship for both my daughters and myself.

I also am having a hard time getting Omnitrace to keep me updated. They charged me $1,300.00 to located my birth mother. They charged the card the very second we hung up the phone and I had to remind them to send me the paperwork. When I e mailed, it was a auto reply. When I did get the email back they said they are working on it. I let Amex know about the service not being what I was promised and they came back with the response they have already located info, Yes, info I provided. What's the secret then to let me know what they found, they took my money. In reading these reviews it looks like Omnitrace sure does defend their position when it is posted to the public and replys rather quickly to these reviews. Omnitrace if you have info for me that I did not provide, why not keep me updated? Looks like I was the sucker here, they charged me alot for nothing. The paperwork is extensive and most pages have to be notorized. Hippa forms too. Your whole life will be public for all to see. Yes, they are understanding and take advantage of your voulnerable position then ask for your payment BEFORE the paperwork. Help me understand Omnitrace, do you only want the easy money or do you really care? Had I been informed that they take your money first, I would have NEVER agreed.

I hired OmniTrace last December to help find a daughter that was given up for adoption in 1970. They told me that is sometimes takes a year to find the person. They found her on around 8-31-09. We have been in contact with her and her family since.It has been the greatest feeling that you can ever imagine. My girlfriend was in high school and I was just about to go to Vietnam when she got pregnant. Because of extenuating circumstance's, I could not get home to marry her. We gave up our daughter for adoption, as it was the best thing to do at the time. My girlfriend is and has been my wife for 36 yrs. So now our long lost daughter and us have a new extended family.Thank you Sheila Knies for talking me into hiring your company and Shari Acevedo for an out standing job in finding her. I would recommend Omni Trace to any body who needs their service.Jim and Mimi Crow

Omni Trace is awesome, They found my Biological Mother and I have a half sister, This whole experience has been overwhelming and I have a wonderful mother Sandy and half Sister Dawn Marie, (My name is Dawn Marie) Wow, Chris from omni trace did an outstanding job finding my long lost mother and sister after 40 years , It has been an emotional ride and i would do it all over again. My new bi-logical Mother & Sister have been getting to know each other on an almost daily basis. There has been ALOT of tears and laughter, And I'm planning on going for a visit soon, Chris communicated with me every step of this search and I got the final word at work, Cry Cry smiles, I called my biological Mother the day I found out her name and # from Chris at Omni trace, And now we email daily, It has been an experience I will never forget, My husband said it has been worth every penny just to see me Soooooo happy. I never thought this would all happen so fast 6 months is nothing compared to 40 years. I now have a new family and we are all looking forward to many more years for joy, thanks to Chris and Omni trace. I wish more people would take the time to find there family, I never wanted to but at forty years old I just Did it and am very grateful omni trace did all the work for me or i would of never done it. Words cant even explain the feelings that finding my biological mother have given me, Thank You Again Chris Maione with Omni trace you have change my and my mother and sisters life. :)

Good job Omnitrace. I have to thank Sari and Omnitrace for being able to locate my birth mother. After 44 years I wasn't sure if It was even possible. I had tried several times to have my records unsealed just to get any medical information and had been turned down in both instances. It did take them quite a while to locate her in the neighborhood of a year. But in the end it was worth the wait! I have had a couple of really nice conversations with my birth mother and are planning on meeting her sometime in the future!
Sari is awesome and i am very thankful I hired omnitrace to find my mother. I know I would not have ever found her on my own!
