I personally know who wrote the positive reviews as i personally know someone who worked in that office for a long time. i was also a patient. they are real nice when its time for them to make a quick buck... but after that they treat u like a piece of garbage.. every review on this site (other than the positive ones) is 100% accurate. they treated their employees the same way as their patients... the only interest there is money. they do not truly care for the well being of anyone. the refund lady caludia is the spawn of satan. she is manipulative, untrustworthy, ugly... stutters. professional liar. they are quick to take your money... and when they do finally cut checks, the checks bounce. payroll and refunds alike. that is why he is losing his practice. i didnt even request a refund from carecredit. i am actively in the works to file suit against his practice.. he better hope he is done filing for bankruptcy soon. his staff should spend more time getting claudia speech lessons and on their patients who spend thousands of dollars there...rather than be on a message board trying to add some stars to their own name. no dignity. there are PLENTY of sedation dentists in Miami. why would you dare go to him?

At this time he had my folder in front of him and I asked him if this was in addition to what I was still paying from the previous job he did, and he said YES, WITHOUT OPENING MY FOLDER and when I questioned him about the credit that was due to me ($1,900.00), he said that he was deducting this from the new total cost. I then ran out of his office, my heart palpatating, crying, upset, and felt totally used. I then decided to go to a local dentist where a root canal was performed, followed by some gum treatments where my cost after insurance payments did not total $800. NOW, the job that this scam artist Dr. Piedra did (which happens to be my front teeth) started to fall apart - I went to my local dentist and he says a complete new bridge has to be done or have some veneers put in place but the guarantee could be that the veneers would last me a year or perhaps 2 weeks. He agreed that I should go back to Dr. Piedra since I paid so much for this job and when I did the clerk that answered the phone (Michael) told me that I had NO GUARANTEE BECAUSE I DID NOT GO BACK FOR A 6 MOS CLEANING. I AM DEVASTATED!! ........ I still pay and will continue paying for this job for the next three years - a job that isn't any good now!!

And to end my ordeal, at the time of BEING PERSUADED at Dr. Piedras office to finance this work, I had to get my 88 year old mom (at the time she was 85) to sign these papers because my credit did not allow me to get it on my name, so this is still on my mother's name, although I am still paying for it. IT IS SHAMEFUL AND UNLAWFUL THAT SOMEONE (A PROFESSIONAL DENTIST) WOULD STEAL FROM THE POOR. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS DENTIST TO ANYONE!!!

I got the veneers. For about a year they were really nice, then I guess they are so unprofessional or money hungry they never told me my teeth would grow out the veneers, now my teeth look too long and I hate them, I went back and they wanted to charge me THOUSANDS to fix just TWO teeth. When I called a lady told me I could set up a payment plan right away and did not need to bring any money ( I am 19 years old) so I didn't, then they asked me for money when I was walking out, when I told them that the lady told me I didn't have to bring money today they were so mean and just told me to leave and didn't even look at me in my face. They were only so nice to me because they knew my dad was rich and paid for most of the stuff, but if you are financially unstable don't expect them to treat you nice. And don't get the veneers if you can't afford to REPLACE them a few years later....

I'm never going there again! Now I have to find some affordable dentist to fix what they messed up. And by the way, read what everyone is saying, they are so right, I brush my teeth day and night and I am a very clean person, yet he told me I have something like 20 cavities, yeah right buddy...and wanted me to pay 8 thousand oh oh but get this, he said " just for you i'll take off 2 thousand " from the original 10 thousand he wanted to charge me..think about it people, 10 thousand dollars...for cavities and to fix something THEY did to me in the first place, uh no, i'd rather put that towards adown payment on a house.

The other comments are so obviously written by the office staff, why? Because the same time he JUST SO HAPPENS to comment back to them read the " from the office comment" ...yeah right, what-ever.

Won't return balance on my account. I gave them $3000 in good faith and tried them out. They charged me over $2300 for the initial visit and root canal with temp crown. It's been over a year and still giving me the run around, and they continue to hold over $700 of money that THEY recognize as mine. Oh yeah they gassed me, when i specifically requested complete sedation and charged $420 for the gas. I was half awake and i still have bad dreams about it. They told my wife on the way out the day of the procedure that they better put me out next time because they kept gassing me and i kept fighting them. duh!! The last dentist that sedated me only charged $300 for local anestesia. Too bad he's retired. This piedra guy is great if just pay and let him do whatever he wants. But if you as Qs and stuff then you had better beware the run around!!!

Dr. Piedra has made going to the dentist easy again. As a victim & now survivor of sexual assault, I found it difficult to have people put their hands & objects in my mouth due to the trauma. Having the ability to be sedated has made it possible for me to go to the dentist. Having a nice smile makes me feel confident and enables me to have a positive outlook.
