This is one of the sleaziest, needs to be out of business, rudest business agencies in the U.S. I have reported them to the NY State attorney general's office. The are linked, although they claim not to be, to a number of scam travel promotional agencies and they renege on their contracts for travel promotionals. If enough people report them, they will eventually o out of business/die/be prosecuted.

"Is Millennium Travel and Promotions legit?

Answer:
Don't tell me, you or your spouse recently got a happy birthday notice in the mail stating that you won two round trip airline tickets including a 3 day/2 night getaway to a Marriot Hotel anywhere in the continental U.S., plus $30 for dinner and $50 for entertainment during your trip if you call them within 48 hrs. And when you called you were told the tickets were yours in exchange for attending a 90-minute presentation to join a vacation club membership with absolutely no obligation to purchase anything. "We give these tickets out for free because we know people will come back after seeing our resorts, plus we want your word-of-mouth recommendation to family and friends" they tell you. So now you've either attended or are thinking of attending the presentation and are wondering if this is all legit?

The answer is HECK NO, IT'S A SCAM! First they make you sit through a power point presentation where they show you a whole lot of wonderful vacation spots all over the world that they claim you can travel to them for incredibly cheap prices if you join their travel club, then they sit you down in a private table for a one-on-one session with a persistent salesperson who tries to get you to put $9,000 on your credit card before you even get to see any club membership paperwork. If you decline to purchase the price drops to $5,000 for a smaller package with less perks, then $3,000 then $1,400. The more questions you ask them the longer they work on you because that tells them you're buying into their sales pitch. Finally, they give you a card with instructions on how to request your tickets with directions that you follow the requirements on the card to the letter. The first thing that catches your eye when you read the card is that you have to send in a $50 per person "refundable" fee with the free tickets request. Second, you have to mail the tickets request via certified mail within a certain timeframe and you have to depart on a evening flight on Monday or Tuesday and return back on an early morning flight (for those of you who may miss this, it means you'd have to check in late on your first hotel day and be at the airport very early on your third day so you'd actually only have one usuable trip day). In addition, you're responsible for paying all "taxes and fees," and lastly, you have to pick three dates with at least 60 days advance notice and the dates must be set at least 45 days apart from each other. Now let's say you send in the money and follow all the appropriate steps required to redeem your tickets. Here's where the wheels come off the cart.

First of all, if you don't follow all of their requirements precisely like mailing the ticket request via "certified mail" they deny you. Even if you do mail it via certified mail they often claim you didn't and make you prove it. Then they waste about six months denying you your first two departure date choices before they finally approve your third choice (they want to make things as least appealing as they can so you give up wanting the tickets). If you still insist on getting your tickets by this point they trigger the nuclear option: They send you a whopping bill for hundreds of dollars in hotel and airline taxes and fees that you agreed to pay which they demand before they'll send you your tickets. You then compare their charges to booking the trip yourself and find that you can book the trip on your own for less than what they're charging in taxes and fees! Naturally, you try to back out and demand your money back. If your persistent you might get around the "no refunds" clause in the paperwork and get your "refundable deposit" back but most people cut their losses and forego their deposit. Either way it works for them. They got you to attend their presentation and you got nothing in exchange - that is if you didn't buy a club membership. If you did - tsk, tsk, tsk - then you can expect virtually everything to be booked years in advance and a lifetime of hassles and hidden fees that will make you think traveling on a private jet is a bargain over club rates. Now go do a google search of these guys. They go by many names including Global travel. You'll find nothing but scam complaints all over the web from people in several states. Even attorney generals have sued them and their cohorts.

Hopefully you found this site before you got suckered into attending their presentation or worse, dishing out a few grand for a bogus vacation membership. Take care."

The process was a little difficult, but the experience was amazing. Customer Support was very helpful with all of my questions, and I couldn't have been happier with my trip to New Orleans. I got to see my family, friends and experience an amazing time.

People who claim they've been conned are seriously wrong, and should spend more time reading the details. I have used Millennium many times, and will continue to do so.

My wife and I recently came back from our adventure that Millennium Travel and Promotions booked for us. It was the most wonderful vacation we have ever had in years! Our itinerary was something like the following:
First was the cruise to the Bahamas, which was great. Then, we spent several nights at a hotel that was absolutely gorgeous in the Bahamas. After the cruise took us back to Florida, we rented the convertible sport car and drove to Orlando to spend a few busy, but fun, nights. When we drove to Daytona Beach after staying in Orlando, the beach was the perfect place to relax before ending the vacation to go home.
Thanks Millennium Travel and Promotions for giving us such a great vacation! Also, if anyone asks, tell them to rent a convertible - it was such fun to drive it on the beach with the top down in Daytona Beach!

"We had the opportunity to take the Promotional cruise that you offer, the one that you go to Jamaica, Orlando and Daytona Beach. I just want to tell you that it sure was a busy trip but a nice one. That is a trip we will remember for a long time. We got to see Jamaica and half the state of Florida. It is not something we would have done on our own but we are glad we did. We would definitely do a trip like this again.

Is there anyway we could get another promotion like this later? When we spoke to your customer service dept they said something about wholesale prices for future travel, which we will be taking advantage of".

Once again thank you;

"My family and I took a cruise that Millennium Travel and Promotions booked for us. Usually I do all of the family vacation booking, but this time I wanted to have someone else book it because we could not all agree on the same thing. With the help of your customer service department, we were able to all agree on cruise going to the Bahamas. Thank you so much for your help-we all had a blast. Next year, I am definitely saving myself the hassle and just going to call Millennium from the start to help us with our decision. Talk to you next year for our next vacation"

"If you have anymore trips you want to give away just call us. Yes, we did have to pay some but still worth it. We had a great time and we will be happy to tell people to try it if they get a chance. The hotels were very nice and the weather was great although you had nothing to do with that. The view was spectacular, and people from the Bahamas were really nice and friendly. What I am trying to say is that we had a wonderful and unforgettable time and thank you for this opportunity."

If you get a certificate saying free airline tickets and free hotel stay - throw it away. My husband and I went and endured the promotion and after numerous attempts, letters, registered checks, etc. - we got our "free trip" for $653 - thats right - thats their free trip - what an awesome travel agency - and that was a non direct flight to las vegas promising a "standard hotel" - nothing fancy. We have gone to other time share presentations and ACTUALLY RECEIVED THE GIFT THEY PROMISED - we are time share owners. Just wanted the general public to know this is a scam!!! Don't waste your time.

"We loved our trip ! it was GREAT. We got to see Hawaiian Monk seals on the beach and the sea turtles swimming in the ocean. One came right up by my son on his body board. The weather was perfect. The nights were cool for sleeping. We drove all over the whole island (where there were roads), went kayaking down a river, went to waterfalls and jumped off rope swings and rocks. The only bad thing was the waves this time of year made it very hard to find any good spots to do any snorkeling, but the waves were beautiful to watch. I just wanted to thank you for arranging our trip."

My Husband and I received this certificate from a presentation and sent it in with our hundred dollars.
The first time I admit I wrong down a wrong date and it was to close to a holiday. They sent me a letter and I immediately sent them new dates. Checking to make sure that they were good. They claim that the last date was to close to a holiday again and that they sent me another letter WHICH I DID NOT get.
I called to find out about the certificate and they said I should have called sooner and that they can't do any thing and even though my dates were good they are insisting that they are not.
Even though I didn't get the letter they claim they sent they say there is nothing they can do and that there hands are tied (Bull) if they were a good company they would try to make it right.
I encourage anyone who is not happy with them to write the BBB and contact the Daytona Beach Chamber of Commerce. I sure am.

I always wanted to travel to Spain, but it was too expensive. However, my dream became true when contacting Millennium Travel and Promotions. I was able to spend two weeks in Madrid, Spain. The promotion package they provided me with was affordable that I could not believe it. I know it took me a little bit to understand how it works, but it was worth my time. I just followed their directions step by step, and my dream trip became true. I really appreciate you guys for all your help.

The view that we had from our 9th floor room was unbelievable and beautiful? At night, the starts and the moon looked so shiny and beautiful. It was so romantic that my husband and I eat on our balcony?I don??t know how to say it, but THANK YOU SO MUCH for the opportunity. We had a great HONEY MOON experience we??ll never forget :)?..

These people were the lure that a local time share group used to get us to listen to their presentation. After declining we were given the packet entitling us to 3day-2night "vacation". After running us around for almost a year, constantly denying us our choices or asking for additional information we were finally "given" our vacation offer. I say given because in addition to the $100 fee I put up front they now wanted another $573.90 for my 2 night stay at a "standard" hotel in the "Las Vegas Area". This in addition to flying me out of an airport in a city 2 hours from where I live when there are 3 other major airports within 15 minutes to 1 hour from where I live. Be sure to read section E on the back of the packet for the vacation. It talks about the extra taxes, fees, surcharges, etc. This is how they bump the free vacation up to almost $700 in my case. And don't be fooled by the high star rating they have. All the good reviews seem to come in on the same day. How odd, unless, hmm, is it possible those aren't real reviews. No that can't be it. It must just be coincidence. Caveat Emptor! These are real schlock merchants.

Pros: none

Cons: Designed to string you along and give you nothing

A year ago we we got a free (yet still had to pay 100$ up front to which they say they will reimburse) complete getaway package, we fill out all the necessary paper work with our dates and places. A couple of weeks a later we get a letter stating we did not choose our dates correctly. We resent it...did not hear anything again. Our two first options have come and gone. Today I decide to call to make sure that everything was in line for the 3rd option day. Javier employee # 305 tells me that they had sent out another letter. Told him I never received any other letter to the reason I was calling on the status of our free trip. He continues to argue by telling me it was sent and it was my fault I never completed the form. WOW and that went on and on...Javier needs to learn his customer service skills, he was rude and unhelpful he last words where they will refund us our 100$ and it would take about 3-5 business days. Now, we wasted all this time filling out paper work and our time and we have no vacation to go to. Now I will be waiting for my check.

Pros: there is nothing positive about this company it's all a scam

Cons: worthless and not even worth a star

Even the web site shows all great companies who buy those certificates, I don't believe they know how the general public, people who are getting those certificates are getting ripped-off.
The Millennium Travel would not send certificate holders to any Free vacation, there is nothing FREE. With us at first, they were telling for the whole year that our dates are not available, now they have 2 month till our expiration day, and they are using a different technique by telling us, that surcharges we may have to pay will range between $1000 and $3000 for 3 days vacation, and we can not either confirm, nor check those charges in any public sources. If we do not like it, we can have a refund. The only problem, that refund is not even cover the actual cost that vendor had to pay for our certificate to those people. Take a look at web, and start reading millions of complains from general public. Business owners, do not support those crocks. They need to be stopped.

Major issues trying to receive incentives due to staff not being properly trained. Time is too precious & valuable; one should not waste time on this company's incompetence.

Using a travel incentive as a way to increase productivity goes a long way towards getting the job done with exceptional results. On the part of the business, it??s an easy way to get the gears turning for your work force. And, it??s easy to do! Companies can contract with a travel incentive provider, such as Millenium Travel and Promotions (MTP), and they can handle all of the work from beginning to end, so that you can offer an incentive or promotion that doesn??t create extra work for the company??s employees.

MTP offers businesses a wide range of vacation packages to offer as incentives and does so at a price that??s right. Their vacation packages are attractively priced because they purchase airfare, hotel accommodations, tour packages, ground transportation and more at wholesale prices and can then pass that savings on to businesses that are looking for incentive solutions.

If there was a 'zero-star' selection, I would have used thhat as a rating!

Be VERY careful of these FREE TRAVEL DEALS. To lure you to sign up with Timeshare related companies, you are given a FREE Travel Voucher. Not only was it supposed to be FREE, I was told I had WON it!

This is how much I ended up paying for a 3 Nights Bahamas on Discovery Cruise for the Main Cabin:

Total: $452 for two people with Millenium, travelling on a MONDAY.
Total: $288 for two people with Expedia for the same trip, travelling any day, including a MONDAY

Here is the process they make you go through:
1.) You send in their 'gift' certificate along with the $140/person 'fees' that is in extra-fine print.

2.) You get a letter from them asking you to pick 3 possible dates for travel on MONDAY only.

3.) You send in the dates & wait forever so that they can find a strategic mailing date (a.k.a. giving you the least time to respond). They mailed mine just before the Thanksgiving holiday & gave me 7 days to respond - except that by the time the letter got to me, there were about 2 days remaining)

4.) Along with this new mailing form them comes the additional fees
Courier Fee: $20
Processing Fee: $30
Surcharge-Cruise: $66
Fuel Surcharge: $56 (Get real Millenium - in case you had not noticed, gas prices are down!)

5.) You do the math & figure that you are not willing to pay $452 for two people for a FREE trip that would normally cost you $288 retail, full-price. You ask for a refund of the $280 you originally sent in that they held onto for MONTHS & tell them to stick their free trip.

6.) They send you back $266 & keep the remaining as 'fees'. So now they charge you $14 for the privilege of holding your money for several months, a concept otherwise know as "Negative Interest".

THIS IS A BIGGGGGGGGG RIP-OFF!!!!

Also, their Customer service personel are RUDE and HANG UP on you when tey decide that they do not want to answer your questions!!!

Dear Director of Customer Service:

I am in possession of yet another verification letter from you to me. This one however comes with a caveat that I mail it within 7 days to continue processing my request. Seven days of what may I ask? You did not specify. What is the rush exactly? I mean aside from this being some poorly executed and badly written attempt to give yourself a loophole in not honoring my travel certificate that is.

To date, I have sent you four signed letters ? all of which I have copies of. You will honor my certificate and you will do it with a virtual smile on your face. If you are not able, perhaps The Florida BetterBusiness Bureau, the Office of the Attorney General of Florida?s Consumer Complaint Division, the Daytona Beach Chamber of Commerce, any one of the many organizations whose logos appear on the bottom of your web page or even the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services can help you to make better choices.

I would also advise you to review and revise such shameless and transparent tactics and for your company?s future viability, refrain from their use altogether.

I am also forwarding a copy of this letter to the resort that issued the certificate so that they may be aware of the treatment their prospective clients receive at the hands of your company. I look forward to enjoying a very nice and well accommodated vacation to one of the three locations I chose, departing on one of the three dates issued to you with no further issues.
