St. Joes is one of the best childrens hospital around, there equipment is modern, and they know what they are doing, i had to go into the hospital for a colonoscopy and a upper endoscopy and i had to stay their overnight sadly, the nurses treated you like you were 2 and it was annoying when you are really young its a great hospital but when you are going through puberty it sucks, parents if your kid is over 10 send them to a regular hospital like Tampa General.

My son ended up at st. joes. they took wonderful care of him, they explanied everything they were going to do, before they did it. this is a hospital you would want to send your kids if they need to be in the hospital. st. joes has lots of fun things for the kids to do, they have arts and crafts. and they invite all kids, even brothers and sisters of the children in the hospital, they also have space so the parents can sleep in the sme room as the kids.

It would be wonderful if we never had to use places like St Joseph's Childrens Hospital but it is good to know that it is their if you need it. I have visited patients at the hospital before and their parents always were pleased at how well they were being cared for and how the doctors were really top notch. This hospital is a valuable resource for this area.

Unfortunatly, my daughter had to stay in the hospital for a couple days due to an illness, but she got to stay in one of the best children's hospitals I've seen. The rooms are set up in little coves instead of one long hallway, and there is a nurse's station in each cove. There is a tv with a vcr in each room and they have a variety of chidren's vdeos to choose from. The decorations are bright and friendly. There is a play room with lots of activities and a playground if you child is well enough to go outside. During the day there were kids playing in the hall or in the room and since there are nurses stations every so often down the hall, no one really minded. The food is still hospital food but instead of being served on a tray, there is a buffet style center where you go and pick out what you want your child to have for that meal. The nurses were great and the doctors were also friendly. One of the days my daughter was there, they even brought the helping dogs to the children's center and she got to play with them. If your child has to stay in a hospital, this one will make them feel better and not think about their illness as much.
