I have 3 children who just love this place. We have been members for 10 years. They have done a lot of updates in the last couple of years. I just had to write a review when I saw some of the negative reviews. It is sad to see how one

My family and I visited the Hands On Childrens Museum a few years ago and found it dirty, and the staff inattentive. After finding out about their discrimination against an LGBT family, we wouldn't visit again if our lives depended on it.

We are long-time members of this museum and will not be renewing our membership, until their membership policy is changed. Currently, the policy is that only one Mom and one Dad can be on a family membership. This policy requires anyone

As of 6/8/13, if your family does not consist of a mom and a dad (meaning mom and grandma, two moms, grandma and aunt, two dads, dad and brother, etc) you will be charged $10 more for membership than a family with a mom and a dad listed on

My 2 year old looooves this place. There is SO much to do here. There are about 15 different areas for kids to play in including, a fully equipped kitchen, a grocery store, a veteranarian clinic, a basketball court, a ball pit with slide, a dress play area, train tables and even a room for babies to crawl around. My only problem is that the place looks dumpy - it's dingy, dark and old. And it's a little pricey - costs me $9 to take my 2 year old and 1 year old. That's pricey to me.

We have a membership to the Hands on Children's Museum.. For every day admission, I think it's 3.50 for ages 1-3 and for ages 4 on up including adults is $5.50.. You can't even go to the zoo for that price!!

We stay an average of 2-4 hours.. My kids would sleep there if I let them!!! There is a post office, a grocery store, a vet's office, a basketball area with wheel chairs, a bank, a dress up area, a place just for small people under 3, there are also other exibits all of which my children LOVE!! I have had my 1 year old who cried when we had to leave (He wanted to stay longer) all the way up to age 15 they also loved it... We have had several birthday parties there and let me tell you, the men always end up playing basket ball and having as much fun as the adults!!!

I give this place 5 stars.. You can play all day!! We got a yearly membership which is cheap compared to all of the other memberships out there zoo, and other places!!!

If you haven't been, you've got to bring your children!! They will love it and it gives you a chance to be a kid again too!!

Pros: Great place to Go especially on Hot days!

Cons: Kids learn, and have too much fun and don't want to leave Smile!!

The kids love this place. There is a lot for them to do. Hands on is what this place is all about. The kids learn so much here and have a lot of fun doing it. I bring my son here for a playgroup & he just loves it! It is a little pricey but worth it!

PROS: hands on for the kids.
CONS: pricey
