We entered the restaurant 20 minutes before the lunch buffet closed at 3 pm. The restaurant only had like 4 tables filled with customers. As we came in we were told to just go in with no escort. One of the waitress goes just sit

Excellent Choice for Authentic Indian Cuisine. We were very impressed with the layout and atmosphere of the restaurant. The Waitresses were all very pleasant and courteous. Service was fast...and the food was out of this world. The Lamb

In the mood for a good indian restaurant, we looked online and found the ratings "good" for this restaurant...the only negative comments were talking about slow service..... we went on a Saturday night, found the food excellent, service excellent, came back numerous times to ask if everything was OK or if we needed anything, restaurant and bathrooms were clean, and overall a pleasant dining experience...simply put, will go back again.

We have been here several times. The food is consistently good. We have never had a dish we did not like. The flavors are authentic. The wonderful about the way they serve is that it gives you the opportunity to share with others at your table. The breads are a must to enjoy with the whatever you order. The one negative is the service: it takes a very long time for the server to take care of your orders and are not readily available when you happen to need something (i.e. a water glass refill). Make sure you're not in a hurry otherwise you will be somewhat unhappy.

My fiance and I have both been in the service business so we know how hard it can be. Now as professionals, we spend many nights dining out and have visted many many restaurants in the area...that being said--This was the WORST service we had EVER had. The waitress treated us as if she was doing us a favor by bringing us our drinks and food. Her attitude, which was disinterested at best, rude in reality, ruined the meal. Although the servers at the other tables looked attentive, none of them made an effort to help us when it was clear our server had been "missing" for a long, long time. We will NEVER go back. To add to the terrible experience, the food was mediocre. This was Indian food that had been modified to the American pallette, NOT true Indian food. If you would like to try good Indian food with great service and reasonable prices, try Indian House on N. University. We were both satisfied with the food and the helpful service there. Good eating!

The aloo bread was really good but my chicken and my boyfriend's lamb was very dry. I could only get two pieces down and had to take the rest home. The prices were reasonable ($12 for a carafe of house wine) but the service was pretty slow and we asked for water three times before they finally brought it (not good in a spicy indian restaurant!!). They also seemed to have forgotten our food order (which took at least 40 minutes to arrive at the table). I'd go back just for the bread....

Royal India is indeed is fantastic place to dine. I recommend it on date night and on family night too. The food is very tasty. The tandoori chicken is a must try. Their service is also very efficient and their prices are fairly reasonable. Two thumbs up!

The food is ok but the service is very very very very poor... The people dont know how to serve the customers. Added to this, they have deducted twice the bill of my dinner.

Not at all recommended. Beware, you will be charged twice.

After reading the 4 reviews here, my friend and I rushed to check Royal India out. Also based on the reviews here, I ordered the Butter Chicken, as well as the kasmiri nan. The kasmiri nan was, indeed, fantastic; truly memorable. But I can't for the life of me understand how anyone could rave about the Butter Chicken: totally bland and tasteless. IMO, of course. But there was just no particular flavor to speak of, and Indian food, if nothing else, is characterized by how distinctly flavorful their cuisine is. My friend ordered the vegetable kasmiri, and it too was exceptionally bland. Everything else about this Indian restaurant, tho, was above average: the atmosphere and service were very good, and the prices moderate.

Royal India is perhaps my favorite restaurant of all time, I've been going since they first opened back in 1991! I'm currently a college student and attending school in Orlando, however, whenever I go back home, its the first restaurant I request to eat at! The kashmiri naan is just amazing, and the butter chicken has always been a personal favorite! Over the years I've ordered a variety of different items on the menu, and have never once been disappointed!
